I can safely say, considering I was actually there, that we did not sing about P*mpey for 90 mins. Anyone that thinks we did, and furthermore says that it ruined their day, is a complete and utter tool. This is still a stupid thread, although it's good to see a few people speaking sense with regard to actually going to the game and having a valid opinion on the matter. Personally, I couldn't give a f(ck what we sing so long as the team are doing the business on the pitch and beating teams like Leeds 3-1.

Saints 3 - 1 Leeds, Post Match Celebration
RedAndWhite91 replied to Cascadia Saint's topic in The Saints
Delighted. Great atmosphere. Solid performance. If Leeds are supposed to be one of the strongest teams in this division then we'll have no problems... -
If you had gone today you would realise that we didn't sing anti-Pompey songs the whole game. Stupid thread.

Completed a Where's Wally book on the bog earlier.

Jack Stephens was the star player, looked very solid and assured. No-one played badly but no-one really stood out, as the OP said there is plenty of talent but I felt the final ball was fairly poor today and let us down. Obviously it's only the first game of pre-season so nothing to worry about. Winchester could have had two or three, they hit the post and threatened a fair bit, but there was a lot of end to end stuff and the game was pretty open.

I saw Scott Sinclair in Winchester earlier.... Now, according to the SaintsWeb rumour rulebook this means we are definitely in talks with him and will probably sign him.

You're not wrong, but they'd win in a fight!

Some cracking stories on here! Here's my boring one: Born in Southampton, lived in Netley. Dad was West Ham but despite his best efforts I chose Saints as it was my local team. In school in Netley there was more Saints fans than ignorant glory hunters, but I moved to Alresford when I was 10 and got a lot of stick for supporting a "sh!t" club and I was in a minority. Glad I got to go to a few games at the Dell but never went regularly as we couldn't really afford it, same with the first few seasons at St. Mary's. Had a season ticket 3 seasons now though. Glad I stuck by my local team.

It's because they are real men, unlike the majority of today's pampered professionals.

30. You'll never be able to perform the Nativity play because you'll never be able to find three wise men and a virgin.

Bit of this, bit of that.

Lambert's and Lallana's (and anyone elses for that matter) contract extensions wouldn't have come cheap... It shows ambition in keeping hold of these sort of players on long-term deals.

Of the 41 players who scored 10+ Championship goals in 2009-10, Craig Mackail-Smith had the 3rd slowest mins-per-goal rate. FACT. Will be interesting to see how he gets on this time round in the Championship. Adkins/Cortese allegedly did not think he was worth what was being asked and so didn't go for him. Big deal. He is not the be all and end all of Championship life.

In my opinion Martin is a quality prospect, this is great news.

Ahhh the Shap, source of many an after pub naan bread. Quality food and service too if you're in there for a meal. Love it. Was in there about an hour ago.

Not arguing that for one moment. Just don't make the assumption that I'm some sad internet loser when I'm really not!
-
Longer list than that, I know loads of sad young'uns that are on here... What is it about being on a football forum that makes me sad exactly?? It's not like I have 20,000 posts or anything like that.

I don't even think I'll live to 64. Supermikey seems to be the hip and trendy student type of person I generally try to avoid... No offence intended of course.

I'm 20 and have just been through my mid-mid-life crisis.

One of my favourites is in Bristol, has about 7 different types of cider and about 10 pool tables, quality pub. -
They should be shot.

Yeah, and this. Well said. I scored against someone on FIFA with Heskey, felt so embarrassed for them.
