  6. Just been told by the TO that there are still 300 or so 'marquee end' seats to sell yet before the terrace allocation can be claimed. There's probably more than 300 people waiting for 300 people to buy their seats so they can get their terrace tickets!!!!
  7. I recall an amourous encounter with a lady of the opposite sex up against one of the concrete pillars supporting the chocolate boxes at the Dell way back when. If I remember correctly (at the time I was very, very drunk) a state of gentleman's pleasure was achieved due to the skillful handywork of the lady in question. Crusty Crombie! Where are you now Rita?
  8. Don't forget the ponies! :smt107
  9. I did the first three of those. :supz:
  10. I'm thinking of hiring a nearby club with ex-players, a DJ and loads of great pre-match attractions - only a tenner in.

  20. The media (and public) have the same problem with preserved steam engines. They insist on pre-fixing the loco's name (if it carries one) with 'THE' eg 'The' Tornado, THE Flying Scotsman etc. The loco that I am involved with is named 'Braunton', after the village in Devon, following the naming theme applied to most of the class of west country locations to which the Southern Railway ran when the locos were newly outshopped in the 1940s. I constantly hear the phrase 'Is THE Braunton running today?' etc etc. The same terminology applies as far as 'in' or 'on' goes. You are 'on' the loco, even though you are 'in' the cab.
  21. Yeah, touch of the Rab C Nesbitt's there I thought!
  22. Well now I'm completely confused! Thanks
  23. Second series starting this Friday. Excellent stuff. I thought that was that after the first series, or 3rd if you include Life on Mars. Judging by the short trailer I've just seen, there may be a meshing of the two.
