Just about got my voice back -apologies to the chap in front when I went ballistic as Waigo lost the ball and James couldn't keep up for their goal, I fear I may have burst his eardrum! Saints just have to make us suffer for the glory - sadists! We should have been 5-0 up by then. The explosion of ecstatic relief from us when Connolly scored, showed the anxiety amongst a lot of the fans. I still felt nervous when we were 1 minute into injury time - the last few years have really left some of us scarred deeply. A good all round performance, although Jaidi needs to work on not allowing himself to be turned round. Trotman was nervous in the first half, but ok in the second -going back to his old club etc etc. Lallana was great - at times they put 3 on him but he battled well and found others in space because of that. Davis -2 great saves, that if not made, could have put a completely different complexion on the game. James - curate's egg- good in parts. Hammond, Wotton, Lambert, all excellent. (By the way, Paul, the goal is that white boxy thing about half way between the corner flags!!) Waigo - ok 1st half but ran out of puff. Needs to muscle up in this league. Antonio - this lad could be a real jewel in time. Aggressive, good first touch and difficult to knock off the ball. Dan Harding - composed, excellent again. Connolly - the outpouring of sheer joy said volumes about what he has obviously been through the last 2 years. Welcome. Mills - only on for 1 minute, therefore in the style of Steve Bruce, MoM Will Morgan ever score for us? another great game from him though. Well pleased. Constructive criticism? I'd like to see a bit more composure under pressure and more on the deck football. Having now seen a good representative sample of the teams in League 1, I've come to the conclusion that with improving touch and link up play, we can pass the ball around most of them. keep the faith COYS ps couldn't believe the number of ManUre fans at Piccadilly waiting for trains -don't any of them live in Manchester? And a tip of the hat to Bus route no 181 -frequent and fast, which is what I needed after the game in order to make my last train home to Somerset (game didn't finish until 5pm). Mind you it was a close run thing changing at Birmingham, a 100 metre sprint from platform 1 to 10 or it would have been a night in Brum! During my sprint I noticed about 10 different team shirts on parade.

Half the CCTV cameras are dummies and most of the real ones are of such low quality that they are inadmissable as evidence. A red-herring IMHO.

Thousandth post – Internet forums, Aren’t they? You know, Addictive. The sane/insane ramblings of people who wouldn’t know each other if they were side by side at the bar. Surreal. I came across the Forum during the admin crisis and it initially provided a means to discuss events as I am a lone supporter down here in my Somerset neck of the woods. The cast - Delldays – the posting ‘whore’. Brave, Direct & Awkward. Every forum needs one. NC19 – the epitomy of these sites –intense, yet well read and humorous – velvet barbs. Dogs with bones – Dalek2003. Dubai Phil – merciless self-publicist and ITK – are you really a 60s style ‘international jet setter’ or are you wearing an old stained string vest, unshaven and posting from a battered old caravan on a wind-swept Norfolk coast? Ottery – trying to get out of the straightjacket –don’t try too hard. DannySFC – Is He MyFavouritePosterBecause Of His ManicTrainOf ConsciousnessThreads? TimeWillTellAndWe ShallSee. COYR :smt080 Master Bates – mesmeric avatar. The Admin & Moderators – taking the time and enthusiasm to hang it all together. I used to observe the old SaintsForever site but never posted. Since being able to go to games again on Saturdays I have re-enforced my deep love of this club, first smitten in ’68. The further we slipped the more fiercely loyal I have become. COYS. Thanks to one and all for providing an extended family and much good gas and laughs– here’s to the next 1000. SAINTS – isn’t it? You know, Marvellous.

Must be a sell out as it still thinks there's a traffic jam!

One of my first photos with the old Kodak Instamatic. I took this from the bridge over the station in autumn 1967 just before she left on her (final?) voyage.

Just call me Ghandi - (luckily I'm not allowed anything sharp) All I would say is that my political leanings vary in comparison to whether I feel angry or content.

On the other hand they couldn't score against Yeovil. 0-2 Saints

Aah but have they gone? - or are they the advanced guard for the main invasion, now laying low and sabotaging comms etc etc, perhaps disguised as small spiders and such like? Keep watching the skies

ex- 1973-76. I wanted to be a surveyor but the waiting list was too long so I went in as a draughtsman. I left after digitisation made it boring, but the 6 months in Antiquities set me off on a career in Archaeology where I got to be a surveyor by another route (plus other stuff). Used to play football and snooker at the CS club. What about you?
