    Costco

Costco is pretty decent over on this side of the pond for a cash and carry - better than the Walmart equivalent, Sam's Club. In a similar vein, Fresh N' Easy (Tesco subsidiary) is in it's death throes over here. A real shame but then it wasn't a proper 'English supermarket' experience, a bit half arsed TBH. But I'll miss my English bacon, Yorkie bars and squash when it finally pops it's clogs.
  3. Boruc would go bonkers if someone tried to shoot him
  4. Luke Shaw is rubbish, over rated, wears women's underwear, etc...
  5. I like that one, they moved it a few shops down within the last few years. We were looking for it after visitng the Cutty Sark and museums last summer.
  6. This thread has the best title, so I'll post here. Get in.
  7. Am seriously tempted to jump on a cheap plane ticket to catch them on the west coast somewhere.
  8. Had been viewing Pan-Starrs comet over the last few nights with scope and binos. Very impressive.
  9. Is he saying "there's nothing in this game for two in a bed" ? Maybe relating to our youth setup...ohhh.

  11. Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistlestop Cafe
  12. Piers Morgan does serve some kind of purpose in the world, he's been vociferously laying into gun nonces on tv here since the school shooting. Did anyone pick up on some redneck ****ehole village in the South trying to push legislation making gun ownership mandatory? Woo-hoo, right on!
  13. Castle tour - Bodium, Leeds (near Maidstone) castles followed up by Deal,Walmer and Dover on the coast. Overnight somewhere in Kent. Guaranteed f**k.
  14. Seems you just don't like red wine, don't drink it. You can buy plenty of decent stuff for a fiver. Have you tried fruitier stuff like zinfandel, pinot noir or syrah?
  15. Actually, you can probably still get these can't you?
  16. Really liked them both too. I Saw the Devil - South Korean 'shock cinema' - ultra nasty, violent and downright mean revenge flick. Soulless, silly and depressing.
  17. Thanks, seems easy enough. I was only after the free apps but I do have a current uk bank card so I might be able to download premium apps too. And I suppose iplayer would still be out of the question(cos of IP address) ?
  18. Has anyone ever had any luck creating a different apple user account for a different region in order to download apps not otherwise available to them? I don't expect to be able to grab iplayer for me to use in the US, but wanted some basic stuff like sky sports score centre and other things that seem to be off limits.

    The Sun

No it was one bird, and he did it with a gun, not a rock.
  20. God those things are cheap! Do it!
  21. Been watching The Following as well and am quite impressed although not blown away yet. Has a grittier approach than with other 'terrestrial' crime series. It's not HBO or Showtime quality, but gets close. Been slowly trawling through Breaking Bad, up to season three. Still great viewing, and yes, as mentioned above, hating the characters!
  22. Just realised that i Might be in Death Valley this weekend stargazing, weather permitting. Forecast looks dodgy so might be up for it, will pm you closer to sat.
  23. They're at the Hardrock I think in a week, quite cheap, might do.
