I was in Lisbon for 2001 NY. Really good night out. We were down on Alcantara Mar by the bridge. Great fireworks and nice bars along there. Might pop south to a 'locals' casino for drinks and fireworks if I can be arsed.

I have not read any of Tolkien's work, but am I correct in thinking that stretching one book through 9 hours of screen time is pushing it a bit? I saw the Hobbit the other day and whilst I liked it a lot (and look forward to the others), was not blown away as I was with the Fellowship. Seemed a bit flat, and I don't know if that's a combination of the material or whether Jackson's heart is not into it as much as the other three.

FSP is getting me down. The picture quality, unless its their live game, is utterly crap. At least it's on.

Oh good, Fulham is on. When I checked a few days ago, my DTV guide did not have it. More Saints action than you can shake a stick at.

Not bad was it! Lots of questions to be answered next season. Dexter also finished with a few bangs as well. Time to get fully caught up with Breaking Bad now. Just into season three.

Par boiled sprouts, then add to a buttered pan with chestnuts and bacon or pancetta. Myself, doing a prime rib with yorkshire puds and veg this year. Had turkey for thanksgiving last month.

Homeland season finale just finished with a bang. It's still decent and fresh and I enjoyed this season a lot. As others have mentioned, it will run, and possibly run for god knows how long. I hope it doesn't over extend itself. Speaking of which, about to sit down to the season finale of Dexter.

I think we can at least expect a reinstatement of Clinton's assault weapons ban stemming from these recent events. This 1994 ban had a shelf life of 10 years only...f..u..c..k.. knows why it was never made permanent or instantly renewed. The president made a very touching speech tonight at the town of the massacre. He made several strong hints that things would change. Let's hope so. He should be able to run with something pretty 'radical' now, unlike after the Batman shootings which came so close before the election...

I'd like one solely to be able to do this.... Maybe next year when price comes down....and availability goes up.

More of a concern regarding cross-contamination, are the probes they are planning to drop on one of Jupiter's moons, Europa, which contains ice under it's surface. Mars is dead.

One more episode of Boardwalk Empire before season three wraps up. The season finale is going to be epic judging by the penultimate episode I've just finished watching. ****ing love this show!

Well summed up. silly film but visually immense to watch, on the big screen anyway. As you say, fantastic universe and one which I want more of. Getting the DVD for the extras and give the movie another go.
