  1. Sell model planes and broker real RVs.
  2. Yes, that's me. Still enjoying Weybridge? I'll be back to WOT in a few weeks.
  3. Straight - single malt Mixed - Rum
  4. Chinese lanterns are the cause of so many 'sightings'. We were letting them off on 4th July, and at a distance, they look very ufo 'swarm-like'. Next day my boss even told me about the weird lights he saw in the sky that night. "Those would be my lanterns mate" I wish there was more 'activity' around here...supposed to be 'ufo central' around these parts...meh.
  5. He linked to a picture of 4 Pompey players when in fact they have 10, almost a full team. Gross inaccuracy on the poster's part.
  6. Great read Hamster. Am hoping for a couple of dry days (like fook) on my parents' boat in August.
  7. I think we will spend a lot. This is the promised land we were aiming for. It'd be madness to risk our position if we hadn't spent what we were able to. Reason we didn't spend as much last term I think is because it became quickly apparent we were well equipped enough for the Championship. This is a huge jump.
  8. Whilst that is a brilliant Partridge-ism, London is a brilliant place if you are lucky enough to live in it or by it. I wouldn't want an Eastleigh commute though.
  9. I've had a few Dells. OK computers and agree that the Vostro business range are pretty sturdily made. They also come with non glossy screens which I like. My current Vostro was bought right after Vista was launched and the Vostros were the last types to offer XP. I didn't want Vista and am so glad I bypassed that whole mess. Wpuld like a new one now though but the current one is still running strong after heavy use.
  10. Playing Squarepusher's 'Theme from Earnest Borgnine' in tribute. RIP.
  11. What's the state of school dinners over there? I know Jamie Oliver has done some good campaigning highlighting the issue, he tried over here too. Fat lot of good that did. Here in Tubbyland, school meals are an absolute disgrace consisting of processed ****e with no nutritional value, yet most kids are permitted to eat it (not mine). Nothing is cooked on-site. This is where it begins. Get them into healthy habits young, should give them a better chance later on. Hey...ho. That said, I will be overdoing it on crispy snacks when I'm back over in August. But that's just a treat.
  12. Best wishes, get well soon.
  13. I hope so. Not going to be cheap, but this is the only game I'll be able to get to for a while.
  14. Now that this has been confirmed as a televised game, what are my chances for up to 4 tickets on general sale?
  15. How about an album. Primal Scream - Screamadelica. Playlist in this order - Damaged I'm Coming Down Loaded Come Together Higher than the Sun Movin on Up Shine Like Stars
  16. She is yummy. Gone now, with Ivanovic. Meh...
  17. If it were me, I'd combine a curry in Whitechapel (Tayyabs or Lahores), walk it off, down to the Prospect of Whitby in Wapping by the river, for a great view of Docklands and some nice proper ale. (Bit East of Central though.)
  18. God this is so refreshing. Hoping that he wants to make a bit of a name for himself here (which he should) and stay for at least a couple more seasons if he's as good as he sounds. This season is shaping up well. Be nice again to have some exciting youngsters in defense come through and shine - ie Bale,Bridge.
  19. No reason to sell unless he wants away? We need a LB to challenge Fox really, don't we? Would he be able to step right in at this level?
  20. Backpacked the Cyclades for a couple of weeks. Gorgeous islands.
  21. Very good in parts, bit meh in others. "No it's not a Freelander Lyn!"
  22. It's clearly a different planet. It's name is different, the space jockey meets his death differently - there is no dead chest bursted jockey in the pilot seat at the end of Prmoethius. But yes, the action is clearly meant to look as though it is the same crashed ship in Alien. Why? Maybe just a device to remind the audience there is a connection between the films? No idea, could be many things. - He disliked Holloway for demeaning him - Weyland instructed him to - maybe in an attempt to prolong his life if the results were good - Breaking his protocols...Wanted to play god himself......
  23. CAn't really help you Terrypward as I am fairly thick when it comes to cell coverage and keep to a mainstream Verizon plan. That giffgaff plan does look reasonable. So after the 250 minutes with the 10 quid plan, uk calls cost 10p per minute? Presumably international calls and texts cost straight off. Is data really unlimited? ie - I can use internet on the phone as much as I like without incurring extra fees? What about incoming texts/calls from USA? Would they cost the same as if I was sending them?
  24. Thanks for the info mate. DO I need to inform my cell phone company here of what I intend to do - ie might I have any issues with them possibly claiming "oh it's a locked phone" and try to sell me their ripoff international plan? I can probably get a cutting tool to shape it right before I leave, but it says on the giffgaff site that they can send microsims or regular sims. Looking at the tariff, it says 250 minutes included but says calls cost 10p a minute to UK numbers. Does not even mention US numbers/texting. How does this work? (I'll use your link if I decide to do it.)
  25. I want to be able to pick up a UK simcard for my US iPhone 4S when I travel over. I know the phone will accept GSM microsims. I was wondering how easy it is to get one? What providers do good prepaid, short term deals. I dont care for data usage as I can use wifi connections for this. Just calling/texting the UK/USA Any posters based abroad done this? Simpler to just buy a cheap 'pay as you go' throw away? Preferred to have it all on one device though...
