  1. This has really ****ed me off Rut. They changed the schedules several weeks ago and I Hope if switches back when the season starts. Was also getting used to having Sky News every day, binned that an' all.
  2. Amazing. Could have omitted a few things - tosser rapper, few other gay bits, and McCartney, but overall rather stunning.
  3. Beer Wars on Netflix. As if we needed any more reasons to loath Bud/Miller/Coors. Some nice insight into some of the brilliant and numerous independent microbreweries here in the States.
  4. The Florida one has double D's.
  5. He said "pull out of Scott Dann." heh!
  6. You'll find kids, toddlers, babies at all manner of films. It's fairly normal to watch a film involving rape, murder or swearing with a baby screaming in the row behind you.
  7. **** you!
  8. How else are you supposed to defend against a gun? Look, I loath the vile things, don't get me wrong, but when you have millions of them in circulation because of ****ed up laws stemming from the birth of the country....? It's a horrible situation with no real solution IMO. The availability of semi-automatics though is unbelievably ridiculous. I don't know Baj, you could be right. What would you do?
  9. Pretty sure they are staggeringly higher here in the States. It's a sad state of affairs, and these things are going to happen. And you can't really disarm a country where it's been a right to carry a gun for centuries. There are too many of them in circulation, many in the wrong hands, how can you tell someone they have no right to defend themselves. It is pitiful.
  10. Not at all. In fact it's very much the opposite as the ****e breweries (Busch, Coors, Miller, etc) have a 'special' understanding with the casinos/clubs/pubs to push their mass produced cack exclusively. The visiting punters in Vegas have no discerning taste....they're here to gamble and get drunk on whatever flows. There are a few microbreweries in town. (Actually off to a beer fest this weekend.) And plenty in Southern CA and obviously up the pacific NW. This means there is a lot of bottle choices in the offies here. A lot of them are fairly cheap and good, but the better ones are pricier, as you say.

    Netflix

I like my Netflix here in the US. We have the DVD option as well where they send you a dvd from a queue you set up for stuff not available on the streaming service. That said, not much else I can add since it has a different library than the UK one. A lot of foreign cinema, documentaries, older films, independent films and TV series (a fair bit of UK stuff but mostly American). Cancelled my HBO and Showtime subscriptions, although current series from these channels are not available on Netflix, I can download them. The subscription price went up last year and it lost a lot of customers but there has been quite a good library increase.
  12. Watched the first two episodes of season one recently and quite enjoyed them, although I'm more interested in the Swedish originals that i'll download some day. Same goes with the Danish series, The Killing, which I'd like to get my mitts on.
  13. Yep, it is brilliant fun. Sorry OP - it's 'Trollhunter' if you were confused.
  14. Throw in De Pedro and Andy Reid for the ultimate foursome.
  15. Trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooooooooooooll Hunter!!!
  16. Me and a Brummie mate have got some cider on the go right now. Bottled the other day and should be ready in a few weeks. We'll be doing a Hoegaarden clone next and maybe try a stout. Getting a bit bored with IPAs which is all we'd done before. This probably requires a whole new thread doesn't it. Anyone else homebrew?
  17. Sell model planes and broker real RVs.
  18. Yes, that's me. Still enjoying Weybridge? I'll be back to WOT in a few weeks.
  19. Straight - single malt Mixed - Rum
  20. Chinese lanterns are the cause of so many 'sightings'. We were letting them off on 4th July, and at a distance, they look very ufo 'swarm-like'. Next day my boss even told me about the weird lights he saw in the sky that night. "Those would be my lanterns mate" I wish there was more 'activity' around here...supposed to be 'ufo central' around these parts...meh.
  21. He linked to a picture of 4 Pompey players when in fact they have 10, almost a full team. Gross inaccuracy on the poster's part.
  22. Great read Hamster. Am hoping for a couple of dry days (like fook) on my parents' boat in August.
  23. I think we will spend a lot. This is the promised land we were aiming for. It'd be madness to risk our position if we hadn't spent what we were able to. Reason we didn't spend as much last term I think is because it became quickly apparent we were well equipped enough for the Championship. This is a huge jump.
  24. Whilst that is a brilliant Partridge-ism, London is a brilliant place if you are lucky enough to live in it or by it. I wouldn't want an Eastleigh commute though.
  25. I've had a few Dells. OK computers and agree that the Vostro business range are pretty sturdily made. They also come with non glossy screens which I like. My current Vostro was bought right after Vista was launched and the Vostros were the last types to offer XP. I didn't want Vista and am so glad I bypassed that whole mess. Wpuld like a new one now though but the current one is still running strong after heavy use.
