  1. lucky smokey time for Brissle to do da biz!
  2. You can stick it in, thank you and good night
  3. Am hoping to catch it as it comes this way again after the summer. Looks an incredibly stunning audiovisual experience. Has anyone seen it yet?
  4. I would expect it to be video documented. Very exciting.
  5. Last one of the season (hopefully). How many was that this season? I feel pretty spoiled. Crunch match. We'll need at least a point (and all 3 if we fail to win at London Road on Tuesday), since our GD might not be good enough now. COYS
  6. I've been quite impressed with the latest Orbital offerings (the videos have been top notch!) Much better than the drab stuff they had released prior to it, but nowhere near as good as their untouchable 90's stuff.
  7. What a desperate piece of writing that was. Who would have thought a 2-2 draw against their most hated rivals could induce such jubilation. It was a draw FFS. All he has done is expose their super angry bitterness and inferiority complex towards us and given us a priceless piccy to laugh at now.
  8. That is fantastic. I remember the two occasions when the whole of the Arthur Waite stand was packed with Saints. Come on!!!!!!!!!!
  9. I can't remember. My football related dreams are usually so fuuucked up. They're never playing at a recognised ground - it's usually in a city park, a beach or up a mountain. The stadiums are these surreal constructions consisting of winding steps, corridors and massively high tiers, pitches of an odd shape, or going round corners and me often racing to get there and arriving halfway through. Is there a psychology student in the house?
  10. Dreamed last night about a game where we were at 2-2, but it was against Blackpool and it wasn't Bloomfield Rd or St Marys.....I don't don't like the thought of this. I don't remember the game concluding either.
  11. I hope it's true too...especially Operation Incognito. S'funny.

    Homelands

Ah, yes, forgot about him in that. Not watched the series proper yet. Waiting for the big screen LCD eventually to get the full effect of Band of Bros on BluRay. She is very nice indeed...and Brody's wife. When did it start on C4? Are they likely to repeat episodes after finishing the first run? Wanted to alert my folks that it was on terrestrial over there.

    Homelands

Just finished the first season of Homeland and enjoyed it. Not outstanding, but pretty decent. Didn't realise Damian Lewis was English. Another of those instances where I've watched an entire season of an American show without knowing the main actor was English (Idris Elba and Dominic West with The Wire several years ago, and Rick from Walking Dead) TRying to catch up with The Killing on Netflix. New season has just started on AMC. Ok. Set in the lush and wet Seattle backdrop. Bit of a Twin Peaks; who killed the girl vibe, without being quite as good or as mad....yet.
  14. Yeah, that is quite a breakdown. I Stopped reading before the end. Would prefer to go in to this unprepared....
  15. Pirates!! No. Iced up pipes resulting in crack, water comes in, sinkage. All better now though.
  16. I thought that we were on at 5pm PST with a 30hr or so delay on Fox Soccer Plus. Watch this space, or the dedicated thread in this forum closer to the time. If we are on, I expect there will be bars in LA showing it...but call them to confirm. BTW - I checked the regular Fox Soccer Channel schedule and there are no games screened simultaniously, so you might be in luck. http://www.foxsoccerplus.com/images/schedules/Week15-April12-FSP-Clean.pdf
  17. Maybe the probable fact that we'll be in 2nd place before next k/o will galvanize them again.
  18. Was almost in SD this weekend and would have met up. Hopefully you'll find some others, I know there are a couple down that way.
  19. Bye bye. Am glad I got to watch it trailing the ISS across the sky last year after 'un-docking'.
  20. My Week with Marilyn - 7/10. Didn't care much for the story but the performances of Michelle Williams (and Brannagh as Lawrence Olivier) were worth 90 mins of my evening. Another thing - Emma Watson is in this and proves that although she looks sweet, she can't act for toffee. Same goes for Daniel Radcliffe that I watched in Woman in Black the other day - can't act for **** I'm afraid. But we knew this.
  21. If it was 35ft you wanted, my parents are trying to sell theirs. Has only sunk once during a winter several years ago. Moored in Caversham if interested.
  22. That's the issue I have found with finder scopes. Unless they are very low magnification with a wide field of view, can be tricky to acknowledge what you're looking at. You might want a 'target finder' (uses no magnification) to replace or use in conjunction with the finder scope. You can hone in on larger stars, planets, the moon much faster and use it to navigate from there.
  23. It is quite small...ahem. Gorgeous results. Our club tried a Messier Marathon last weekend in our normally cloudless, decent seeing conditions (if you drive an hour out of the Vegas valley that is). Stormy all weekend..... Nice. How do you find the finder scope bolted on to the side? They can be awkward on some setups. I like using my Telrad 'targeter' - doesn't magnify, but lines things up perfectly. Ohio - Agree, Stellarium is a great free download and a doddle to use.
  24. What kind of scope do you have? At 350 quid, should be good. Is it tripod mounted lens refractor or a fat Dobsonian on a swivel base? I'm going to attempt that supernova near Mars with some good skies. You should give it a shot yourself. Although it might need a video feed exposure and dark skies as Mars is so close to it. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2012/03/120322-new-supernova-sn2012aw-stars-explode-space-science/ TwentyTwenty, I've got a 6 inch reflector (been very happy with it) but want to upgrade to at least a 10 inch. I like reflectors because they offer more aperture for the buck. Light gathering ability is key over mounts, fancy eyepieces, tracking, etc. Are those your shots SussexSaint? Bloody marvelous!
