  1. Smashing film. Everybody needs to see this.
  2. See, I told you they were fun.... Before the intense tunnel vision, I get a spinning CD effect move across my field of view. (They usually develop into a headache after they pass.)
  3. Occular ones are fun. Providing you're not driving, or operating heavy machinery, etc.
  4. If things go to plan then next year will be gravy...... So...to clarify - Derby v Saints is - 5pm Eastern Sun 16th Oct on FSP. TV Reading v Saints is on Fox Soccer Plus at 2pm ET on Sat Oct 22. TV That is great! Not sure about the online Fox service. Never tried it, but at $20 extra, I'd like to avoid that.
  5. Looks like December will be a nice TV month - Blackpool and then Skates the week after.
  6. Freaky and eccentric place. We were staying just up the road in Lydford and popped in for a drink. Crap pints though...poured out of a big commercial plastic bottle.
  7. Cheers Rut. I hope that one of the following two things do not happen. 1. We see a repeat of the Saints/Brum Sunday rescheduling **** up from the other week. 2. We see a repeat of Derby/Leicester where when I tuned in to FSP on Sunday, they were showing a repeat of the Man ****ty game that they had already screened live earlier in the day. Unacceptable!
  8. Was there a couple of years ago. Fantastic part of the country. Dartmouth to explore, Dartmoor for a drive/walk, Bigbury/Burgh Island or Salcombe for a beach. Into Cornwall, Tintagle castle is worth the trip too...if you like castles.
  9. From my memory, Delldays was a bit upset at running into people selling drugs and thus tainted his view. Advice, get away from the docks and enjoy the place. Just say no to drugs
  10. Perfect...nice one Guly. Glad we got something from open play too, was a bit dismayed at the lack of chances. COYS!
  11. Lambert joint top scorer again.... happy days (Oh yuck, Man Utd score after Norwich should have taken the lead moments before.)
  12. Yes, probably safe to travel to a Grecian ATM, but don't expect any money in it.
  13. In a similar vein. I'm still waiting for Piers Morgan to be taken home, there are enough ****s here on TV already...although we'll keep Gordon Ramsay.
  14. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a16_1316360522 Some rather cool time lapse footage taken from the Int Space Station. Note the lightning storms. The ISS can be seen very clearly with the naked eye as it passes - would look like a very bright plane light, but at second glance it comes apparent that it isn't. Accurate pass times are listed online if interested. I've tracked it manually before in my fairly simple telescope and the outline is very clear - think illuminated Tie-Fighter.
  15. It appears that the meanies have ditched us in order to provide Manure vs Chelski to the hoards of armchair fans. This is ******** and it absolutely sucks for us expats... booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  16. BBC America are being especially kind to me recently. They've been showing the first series of Battlestar Galactica (yes, nothing to do with the Beeb...) I've been impressed and pleasantly surprised. Also been enjoying The Hour and new season of Luthor starts soon, on the same channel. Been a diehard fan of Dexter over the years, but the first season passed me by when it originally aired. About halfway through and it is bloody brilliant. New series starts soon on Showtime.
  17. I can't be arsed to watch. Is it on an intellectual par with Loose Change (which you must have seen)? If it's anything like it, I'll pass.
  18. Geoffrey Howe? You must have a soft spot for him. Chatted to him at a Grand Canyon hotel once. Nice old man.
  19. Ok, but are you the green one or the yellow one?
  20. uM...there are a few enhancements that make the films better, but on the whole, he appeared to be slapping his CGI paintbrush willy nilly at places in the film like a schoolchild. I feel similar with many (not all) so-called 'director's cuts'. Where they've stuffed back in the editing room clippings to make an extra buck for re-release. And you can spot them a mile away if you've seen a much loved original several times before. More often than not, they add nothing to the plot or even spoil the narrative.
  21. I'm not sure it's genuine tbh. Weren't the w@nky changes Lucas applied to the originals only because the effects were not there at the time, and therefore the additions were his 'true' intentions? I enjoyed the originals growing up (well the first two anyway). I can't stand the updated bastard versions...messes up my nostalgia trip.
  22. ****ing hot. Lucky final post of the day. Come on please.....
