Being an expat Nevadan myself, SD Chargers are the closest team. I also have enjoyed the season for the first time myself and also can not decide on a team to follow. Leaning towards Chargers or Broncos but my son is a Packers fan so have a soft spot for them. Quite like the Ravens only for their cool logo! There is talk of Vegas 'stealing' a team in the future. Whilst I hate the idea of this - that teams can 're-locate', it would be nice having a home team. There is also the 'Saints' you could chose....

USA - Saints v Birmingham TV Coverage
LVSaint replied to Rut's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
Fox showing itself up as totally smalltime YET AGAIN!! Why were the Saints (and WHAM games) taken off in the afternoon, even when their very own schedules didn't change? Leaves all those that recorded it, gameless. Do they think we're apathetic to which game we watch? Just as long as it's 'soccer' yeah? Luckily, I was channel hopping this morning and caught FSP showing it live. Missed the entire first half though. Muppets. Rant over. -
English Ale every time, although I'm partial to the tasty microbrewed IPAs doing the rounds over here.

Watchin Bham v Saints in the USA - Warning! Time change!
LVSaint replied to Rut's topic in The Saints
Ditch FSC, get FSP. You still get Sky Sports and a share of Prem games. You lose Goals on Sunday though. Thanks for the post Rut. I noticed the time being different this morning. My clever Tivo rescheduled it automatically though, luckily. -
Don't worry about him. He was possibly in the throes of a mental breakdown. For better or for worse, he has now been silenced. Funny site btw, well done.

These Welsh commentators are ****. Peno incorrect....noooo, now we have a peno....comon.

If someone ever offers me a glass of the Pulteney 21, I'll take it Phil, but not sure I could or would buy a bottle of it. Saintscott...I like the smokey peatiness of my Islay...something the island is known for apparently. Think I might hunt down a longer aged bottle like you suggest to compare. I'll look out for that Yamazaki too.
-
Got a bottle for Christmas. It's Bowmore Legend from Islay. No mention of aging period but from research it appears under 10 years. Like it a lot. Nice on a cold night...well obviously. Nice smoky flavour. Anyone have any recommendations of what to try next? Do not want to spend silly money, but something with a nice contrast to the Islay would be ideal.

LOL at the professional footballer getting wound up and responding to abuse on his Twaatter page. What a tool. Isn't there a delete post option on Twitter?

Jack Butland going to the Arse. Surely? He sounds like a pornstar.

Aphex Twin's Didgeridoo would have them all alert and ready for battle. Grrrrrr...... COYS!

Nah. As The Cat mentions, by decriminalising, you broaden the gap between weed and say, crack, thus weakening the urge to jump to the next (illegal) drug up on the ladder.

USA - Saints v Leicester TV coverage (LIVE)
LVSaint replied to Rut's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
Same here Rut. Been anticipating it all day. Got home and sat down with my shepherd's pie and Guinness. They never got going. Result never looked in any doubt after the 2nd half started. Real anticlimax. Thought Leicester looked very good, but we were below par. At least Lambert is back but a bit worried about Jos. Could do with Chappers and Fonte back NOW. -
About to get started on Homeland (HBO), House of Lies (Showtine) and already watched first half of pilot of Alcatraz (by the makers of Lost...even has big Hurley as one of the central characters!) Also watching Downton Abbey on PBS. ITV cheese factor aside, the production values and ensemble cast are top notch.

Currently, inebriatedly enjoying the Solid Steel mix by Grahmzilla.

Hmm. I do have my opinions just couldn't be arsed to type anything when cut n' pasting a perfectly good sentence was all too easy. Duh! (BTW - what did I say that Ess had said?) Are you still upset with Cocker’s cheeky upstaging of Jacko when he was ‘performing with children’ at the Brits all those years ago?
-
You are so predictable!!! I knew damn well you would pipe up and say that!!!
-
Can't say that I've ever watched it either. I've only ever found people here, when mentioning Top Gear, referring to the British version. I'm happy it's a big success for the BBC. Although I must say I have enjoyed it less in the last season or two. 'Specials' and James May make it still worthy viewing though.

Pedant alert! Point I was making is that Hollywood often can't help remaking successful foreign films, often blow by blow, with English speaking actors and no subtitles. I do recommend the Swedish adaptations though if you get a chance.

USA - Forest v Saints TV Coverage
LVSaint replied to Rut's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
I will be supporting the Bronchos and Jesus freak Tebow against the Steelers, yes. Charger fans at least had a say on the Raiders not making the playoffs. haha! San Diego was nice.... Apart from me being a knob and accidentally taking the 5 South ALL the way into lovely Tijuana (without my folks' passports on them) I only meant to show 'em the border. Let's just say I will never take the busiest border crossing, Mexicans or the US Border Police for granted ever again. Ok. Real sport. So we've got 3 Saints games coming up? I am loveing this. Who needs promotion? -
USA - Forest v Saints TV Coverage

24 hour delay is doable. Let's hope we've either strengthened or got them all back on the bus, or both, by then. In response to your other thread Rut (as I am limited to 3 posts a day...I know, cheapskate) 1. Can't take the time off, already had some days off after new year. In San Diego with my folks until tomorrow. 2. Easy winner. Keep away from the net at work. Watch it in comfort with a beer and a fag after work. 3. Not a chance. The important calls/work will come in to ruin the key moments won't they. -
Quite liked Sherlock 2 (7/10) although not as much as the first. There's only so much of Jude Law I can take. Would also like to pop out to see the Dragon Tatoo remake after the good things I've heard. Speaking of which, looking forward to Prometheus later in the year (which will star Swedish actress from the original Dragon Tattoo trilogy and the aforementioned Sherlock 2)

Exactly. Fine, calling a black kid "little negro boy" could be a form of endearment in South America, but in no way was Suarez being chummy when he directed it. Gets what he deserved. Dalgleish is a **** also.

I think my parents might still have it in the loft somewhere...but if they ever find it, I'm keeping it. Lots of fun. Look on Ebay.co.uk. Several editions there. I think we had/have the 50's one...could be worth a few quid too!

Am watching too. Yay! Great stuff....
