  1. Nah. As The Cat mentions, by decriminalising, you broaden the gap between weed and say, crack, thus weakening the urge to jump to the next (illegal) drug up on the ladder.
  2. Same here Rut. Been anticipating it all day. Got home and sat down with my shepherd's pie and Guinness. They never got going. Result never looked in any doubt after the 2nd half started. Real anticlimax. Thought Leicester looked very good, but we were below par. At least Lambert is back but a bit worried about Jos. Could do with Chappers and Fonte back NOW.
  3. About to get started on Homeland (HBO), House of Lies (Showtine) and already watched first half of pilot of Alcatraz (by the makers of Lost...even has big Hurley as one of the central characters!) Also watching Downton Abbey on PBS. ITV cheese factor aside, the production values and ensemble cast are top notch.
  4. Currently, inebriatedly enjoying the Solid Steel mix by Grahmzilla.
  5. Hmm. I do have my opinions just couldn't be arsed to type anything when cut n' pasting a perfectly good sentence was all too easy. Duh! (BTW - what did I say that Ess had said?) Are you still upset with Cocker’s cheeky upstaging of Jacko when he was ‘performing with children’ at the Brits all those years ago?
  6. You are so predictable!!! I knew damn well you would pipe up and say that!!!
  7. Can't say that I've ever watched it either. I've only ever found people here, when mentioning Top Gear, referring to the British version. I'm happy it's a big success for the BBC. Although I must say I have enjoyed it less in the last season or two. 'Specials' and James May make it still worthy viewing though.
  8. Pedant alert! Point I was making is that Hollywood often can't help remaking successful foreign films, often blow by blow, with English speaking actors and no subtitles. I do recommend the Swedish adaptations though if you get a chance.
  9. I will be supporting the Bronchos and Jesus freak Tebow against the Steelers, yes. Charger fans at least had a say on the Raiders not making the playoffs. haha! San Diego was nice.... Apart from me being a knob and accidentally taking the 5 South ALL the way into lovely Tijuana (without my folks' passports on them) I only meant to show 'em the border. Let's just say I will never take the busiest border crossing, Mexicans or the US Border Police for granted ever again. Ok. Real sport. So we've got 3 Saints games coming up? I am loveing this. Who needs promotion?
  10. 24 hour delay is doable. Let's hope we've either strengthened or got them all back on the bus, or both, by then. In response to your other thread Rut (as I am limited to 3 posts a day...I know, cheapskate) 1. Can't take the time off, already had some days off after new year. In San Diego with my folks until tomorrow. 2. Easy winner. Keep away from the net at work. Watch it in comfort with a beer and a fag after work. 3. Not a chance. The important calls/work will come in to ruin the key moments won't they.
  11. Quite liked Sherlock 2 (7/10) although not as much as the first. There's only so much of Jude Law I can take. Would also like to pop out to see the Dragon Tatoo remake after the good things I've heard. Speaking of which, looking forward to Prometheus later in the year (which will star Swedish actress from the original Dragon Tattoo trilogy and the aforementioned Sherlock 2)
  12. Exactly. Fine, calling a black kid "little negro boy" could be a form of endearment in South America, but in no way was Suarez being chummy when he directed it. Gets what he deserved. Dalgleish is a **** also.

    Board games

I think my parents might still have it in the loft somewhere...but if they ever find it, I'm keeping it. Lots of fun. Look on Ebay.co.uk. Several editions there. I think we had/have the 50's one...could be worth a few quid too!
  14. Am watching too. Yay! Great stuff....
  15. MLT. But MLT or BLT????
  16. I'm afraid to say that series 6, for me anyway, has been much weaker than the preceding seasons. Hope they rediscover the formula but I'm not counting on it. The well crafted characters (other than Dexter), recently, have all been naff and the storyline blah. (One of my favourites,Deadwood stopped short (maybe too short IMO!). But all three seasons were collectively strong and will live in fond memory, rather than others that have started so well, but 4,5 or 6 seasons start to show their limitations.)
  17. Thanks for the feedback, there will be a lot of expats intersted in this. Can you tell me, regarding Prem games, are all available to stream or only a selected amount (as on the TV formats FSC, FSP)? If we get to the promised land this season, to be able to watch Saints each week, this is the way to go - would be cheaper than subscribing to the tv service.
  18. Rut my friend. Based on the reasoning why soldiers do not march across bridges, this should not be attempted on Sunday. People will die.
  19. Nice find Block5. Like DK as DJ and remixer and his visual creativity here is most impressive. Yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyes.
  20. Offix - free trial of foxsoccer.tv (if you havn't used it already). See the thread in this subforum on it. You're always welcome to come round to watch although I'm not sure when on Sunday I'll be viewing it.
  21. Sounds like a nifty and pretty straightforward setup there Rut. Be helpful to watch downloaded shows instead of via a thumb drive and dvd player as well. I like my Roku player. Great if you have Netflix/Hulu etc and an older TV (without the built in wireless apps.)
  22. If only he could master the strings, cos his voice is top notch. Also, he knows how to smash a guitar after a gig.
  23. Now if there was a Roku application for Fox online, I'd jump on it as well. I'm sure it's fairly easy to get computer streaming on to the TV, but I'm too lazy to try right now. If true about every Saints game (promotion pending) then I'm absolutely in. I'm paying $15 just for FSP per month (not subscribed to FSC) . I'd be ordering both if Saints were in the Prem, that'd set me back about $25 a month - and that's without a guaranteed game each week. $170 is a no-brainer, although I wish they could do something like HBO To Go currently offer - if you subscribe to HBO via the TV, you have access to their entire archive online or through a media player (Roku). How about subscribing to FSC/FSP and getting their online content included?!
  24. Do you ever stop off at the Hand and Spear on the way home from Weybridge station? Is it still there? Used to be a decent pub serving us kids on a Friday/Saturday night with our dodgy student IDs. I think it's become a characterless chain pub now.
  25. Not the sofa. At 7am, it's the laptop n' bed support. All together now - "We're the bed supporters, bed supporters, bed supporters over here..."
