  1. You sound a bit bitter yourself.
  2. I think Lallana has shown enough for them, just held back by injuries a bit so far. Lambert - a 32 year old squad player he's done alright. Never going to be their first choice or play week in, week out. Clyne is a good right back, they're getting at a great price.
  3. That's not the spine of their team though. All of them, bar Lovren to date, have been good signings.
  4. Why do you assume that?
  5. Espanyol as the home game on the 2nd of August. Not a glamourous fixture, but will do the job in terms of pre-season, hopefully really cheap tickets.
  6. Yeah, been aware of this for a while, but hadn't realised how unlikely it is we'd get one of the teams alrady confirmed in the third round.
  7. Yeah, I can't see how/where we'd fit another squad player into our attacking line-up. I'd rather see that money invested elsewhere.
  8. You're kidding?
  9. What's the point in simply saying "Koeman knows best" - pretty much kills 99% of threads on here. I wouldn't waste any money on Elia, on the basis that we've added Juanmi and Rodriguez, I can't see him even making our matchday squad at times, would rather put that money towards securing Alderweireld.
  10. There must be a load of deals waiting to happen across some of the bigger clubs. I'd expected both Manchester teams to have been a lot more active in the market so far.

I haven't seen anyone saying this?
  12. 90% of the original St Mary's construction costs?Or 90% of a new build one started now? St Marys cost £30m? I could see it pushing £20m+ easily for 13k new seats. Not going to happen anyway.

So tell us what you think should happen to all those people dumped at ports in Greece and Italy? Oh wait, you can't How do you think those people got to Calais?
  14. Ignore me, you were right first time! So not much chance of us knowing who we're going to play until a week beforehand. Ridiculous!

Yep. There's a lot of good points in Verbal's post in my opinion, but it's only relevant in a small way in Thi particular topic. There are a wide range of reasons why the UK is seen as the ultimate goal for many migrants.
  16. So 8, out of a possible 29 opponents I think, not too bad odds, but not great.
  17. I think there are three other teams, Aktobe, Wroclaw and Zilina.

But a lot of the people on the boats in the med aren't asylum seekers. They're economic migrants heading to the UK.

No-one said our immigration policy was the root of all this, I was just responding to aintforever's point about eu immigration.
  20. Toughest game we could get in the 3rd round? They're all winnable really, but these look good enough to give us a game Brondby, Red Star Belgrade, Vitesse Arnhem, Dinamo Minsk, Slovan Bratislava, Sturm Graz. Brondby and Vitesse probably the toughest.
  21. Will our whole first team squad be involved in our friendly match on the 8th?

We're dumping these people on Italy and Greece, what do people expect to happen then? I agree, our whole immigration policy has been an utter mess for years, too many with their heads in the sand on the subject.

Super Mikey and Bridge Too Far on the Mediterranean Ferry thread on this page alone. Plenty on twitter. What do you think loads of those people we're helping to land in Greece and Italy are going to do? But as you say, no-one is saying we should take them
  24. Sour Mash

    Calais

Loads of people have said we should be taking them. Many of these people at Calais are the same as those on the boats in the med.
  25. Each to their own, depends how closely you look I guess.
