  1. Is it just me that finds this quote doesn't make sense? And not in the "what a stupid/pointless bid" from Jewell sort of way. "Caught us on the hop there" - why would he say that in such circumstances?
  2. They do it with all away tickets - wait until there are as few home games as possible (usually none) left before the away game in question, leaving out of town fans no choice but to pay the £3. It's not the £3 in itself that's the problem, its the pettiness of the club. If that's what they're doing for the Skates game, then what a p*sstake.
  3. So they've gone off sale for a week?
  4. Quality. Thats the lower tier then?
  5. That doesn't make sense. What were you trying to buy and why weren't you allowed to buy them?
  6. Well West Ham definitely do. Not sure about us, but we won't be too far off the top, lots of contracts upgraded around the summer, Cork was offered high wages to come here as well I believe.
  7. If anything, the FootbalL League would be more likely to open themselves to a legal challenge if they were to get involved and help out.
  8. There would be no grounds for a legal challenge at all.
  9. No-way should anyone, ever admit that
  10. So you think he's been brilliant? He's been neat and tidy at times, but has done very little in terms of a serious impact and has certainly not been brilliant.
  11. And in terms of who came across worst on the programme, I'd suggest the never ending footage of utterly mongy QPR fans.
  12. Do you genuinely think Puncheon has been "brilliant"? Yes or no?
  13. Got round to watching it last night, excellent doc. Didn't think Briatorre was that bad, he cracked me up, what else would you expect from that type of Italian? Far worse was Palladini, playing different parties off against each other, pretending to know about football, yet not having a clue. Agree Bhatia came across really, really well. As did Warnock I thought.
  14. Forget Holmes, I doubt he'll ever play for us again, but what exactly has Puncheon done since he's been back?
  15. Not exactly 'kettled' is it? Just held back. Annoying and a bit boring, but no worse than that.
  16. Exactly. Millwall is one of the easiest/cheapest days out of the year, bet there is a mad rush for Palace tickets.
  17. Why have we not sold this out yet? Our support is weird at times to put it politely.
  18. Doesn't particularly matter what has happened in previous years.
  19. Good article that. Football Banning Orders have been a pretty bad abuse of basic civil/human rights for a fair time now, without receiving any significant scrutiny or questioning.
  20. I reckon 85 would even be tight. I'd take 90 points if offered them now though.
  21. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Birch said it. Can't see him lying outright like that.
  22. What are you on about? it's a great deal for the Skates considering the circumstances, they should be chuffed with that.
  23. Someone down there is currently negotiating some decent deals for them. Getting a loan fee from Cardiff, on top of them picking up all his wages is ridiculous considering the circumstances. On the basis that Lawrence was on £15k a week, if they got a loan striker in and were paying him £5k a week, they could still well argue that they had significantly cut costs. As you say, depends how Birch is going to play things I suppose and how many favours Appleton can wrangle from his contacts (West brom).
  24. That wasn't the midfield pairing against Palace in the cup. I think Cork should probably be rested for Hammond tomorrow night, but Cork/Schneirderlin is our best centre-mid partnership.
