Lol, how many kids and elderly are coming over on the boats? The vast majority are young men. If any of them don't like the idea of being separated from the public while their applications are processed, then don't come here. We give them free accommodation, food and essentials. If that's so horrible, then bloody stay where you are. Why is it ok for the public to be subjected to these potential scumbags but not their fellow illegals? If that's what international law says then it needs to be urgently rewritten and we need to ignore it, because it's trash. You cannot decide to just enter a country illegally and have the freedom to wander around as you please, that's madness. And I actually agree with you that it's almost impossible to determine how much of a risk someone is, which is why I personally wouldn't let any of them stay. Tow the boats back out to the middle of the channel. Make it clear that if you attempt to come over on a boat you will never be granted asylum in this country and will be deported asap. Make it as unattractive as possible to come here. Won't happen because this country is soft as shit.
-
WTF? Are you seriously saying that people who come here illegally (clue is in the name) should just be given the freedom to roam around as they please, and if any of them are a danger then oh well, we have dangerous natives too? Ridiculous soft arsed attitudes like this are exactly why they keep coming over. A government's main responsibility is to keep it's own people safe, and if that means holding these people in a secure area away from the public until we can determine whether they should be here or not and what risk they pose, then that's what we should be doing.
-
They certainly should be detained until they're either granted or refused asylum. Some of them are bloody dangerous, and they shouldn't be allowed to just wander about and potentially disappear.

Whilst Sports Republic have clearly been a disaster, I find it hard to turn against Dragan specifically as I genuinely believe he cares and has good intentions. If he sells up, there's every chance we could end up with someone worse.

Blackburn 2-1 Saints - Match Threads

Stephens for Scienza, when we already had three centre backs on the pitch, is the worst substitution I've ever seen. Still should be sacked for that alone. Absolute shambles of a performance against a really poor team.- 1296 replies

Tbf it sounds very similar to this forum. Moaning about the manager, owners, lack of fan action etc... -
The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?
LuckyNumber7 replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
They both need sorting. At least in the 95% we have a fair idea of who we're letting in. With the boat people we have no clue, and as we've seen already in multiple cases, plenty of them are scum who pose a threat to the people in this country. -
Not all, but some of them absolutely. Yes. If you're a biological male, you use a men's space. It's mostly pretty obvious. Not suggesting you have police stood outside toilets checking though. As with anything there has to be a degree of self policing. I don't know, but that's not the point is it. A lesbian woman is entitled to use a women's bathroom just as a gay man should use the men's bathroom. Well as Turkish said of course they're more likely to be assaulted by a man than a trans woman, just due to the numbers. No one is suggesting all trans women are a danger to women, but some are and they simply should not be allowed into women's spaces. Otherwise why have gender segregated spaces at all? I really can't believe some people think it's controversial to suggest biological men should not be using women's spaces, but this is where the world is at in 2025.
-
Absolutely this, it's so glaringly obvious. We have some technically good footballers, but they're all small and weak, and we constantly get bullied. There are no bigger players around them to protect them. The annoying thing is, Spors actually identified that as something he wanted to address in the window...and then didn't. We signed Quarshie who is much more of an athlete, albeit raw. But then almost all our other signings were more of the same. Small, technical players but with no physical presence. Even Downs who is a bigger guy looks incredibly weak and timid. Until we properly address this, I can't see much changing and it's been like this for years. We haven't had a proper beast in our team since Wanyama.
-
I know he had a couple of dodgy games, but he looked really good on his debut at Norwich. Clearly a good player for this level and I'd rather have him in than Fraser. He must be injured to not even make the bench.
-
A trans woman is a biological man, and in some cases they are being allowed to use women's spaces. That's kind of the point.
-
Yes I was there, was a good away day. IIRC Beatts and Le Saux were among the scorers. I'm pretty sure we haven't won there since, proper bogey ground. No confidence we'll turn that around tonight.
-
Clearly their fans are no angels, but if that was an acceptable reason to ban away fans from attending matches then it would happen far more often, both domestically and with European games. We all know the real reason they've been banned.

Oh no, those evil English people putting up England flags in England! The cheek of it! Bet it's fine to fly Palestinian flags though right? Frankly if anyone comes to this country and finds the sight of an England flag uncomfortable, then they shouldn't be here. Attitudes like yours are disgusting and exactly why Farage/Reform are so popular.

Erm...

Probably not just muslims, but you don't think they pose the biggest threat? If anyone causes violence, it is they who are responsible, not Netanyahu. If for example a Russian team was coming to play instead, do you think there'd be the same level of threat to the visiting fans from the local populace?
-
Ah, so it's all Netanyahu's fault then, nothing to do with the 'peaceful' muslims in Birmingham who are planning on causing trouble.
-
We are just so dull. No clear plan or patterns of play, just look like a bang average Championship team. I really want Still to succeed but I'm not seeing anything to make me believe he will.
-
I'm absolutely not a fan of any religion, the world would be far better off without all of them. But Islam is by far the most backwards and hostile. Tbh, given the prevalence of guns in the US, it's amazing there isn't more gun violence. Now imagine if every muslim in Europe had easy access to gun ownership. That really is a scary thought.

Yet only one of them appears to still be stuck in the dark ages.

Indeed. W16 D6 L0 Wasn't enough for some people. What we'd give for that kind of run now.

Sheff Utd 1-2 Saints - Match Thread

I keep seeing this but it makes no sense. In that season, Stephens went off injured in the win over QPR. He played no part in the 4 straight defeats that followed. Made his return in the 4-0 win over Blackburn and was in and out of the team for the rest of the unbeaten run. Didn't play in the defeat at Bristol City that ended that run, but returned next match for the win at WBA (and iirc had a very good game). I don't think Stephens has done that much wrong this season, THB has been far worse. And while I do like Quarshie, he did have a poor game last night with several mistakes. Poor on both the goal and disallowed goal, and had a few other shaky moments. He's still young and raw, so it's to be expected, but I don't think it would be a shock if he dropped out next game. -
Moaning about the meals and accommodation that they are given for free, paid for by our taxes. What makes them so entitled, when there are thousand of Brits living rough on the streets, and millions more living in poverty? Having babies here to try and make sure they can't be removed. Brilliant stuff.

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?
LuckyNumber7 replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
I absolutely agree we need immigrants for the health/care sector. No problem with that. That's a bit different to waving all and sundry through, despite now having the ability to fully control who comes in, to the point that English people are becoming a minority in our own cities. As for the NHS, it's an expensive joke, and at the very least needs a complete rethink.
