  1. first 30 mins went as i expected. Germans have done their homework, pressed us and against the first proper test our defence was shambolic at times. Then a big shock as the Germans fell asleep at a short corner, and 'the goal that wasn't' was an even bigger shock. Key team talk here for Capello, the Germans will go straight back to their game plan and it's up to us to whether we compete or let "the goal that wasn't" stick in our minds, get frustrated and get overrun. I'm sure all of us England fans will be consoled by FIFA's "we very much sympathise with England's situation but the linesman must see the ball cross the line" statement afterwards. Blatter et al. must have spat their champagne out in laughter. Pay back for '66. Besides the game doesn't get decided by one awful decision, I bet the Germans know that, do we?
  2. Expect a narrow 1-0 victory for the Germans, they'll do their homework and close us down every time we receive the ball in their half. The ball will bounce off Klose or Podolski's arse from a corner in the 85th minute
  3. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/features/2497034/Our-worst-XI-of-the-most-tasteless-kits-in-football.html?offset=5 David Seaman modelling the worst goalkeepers' kit ever
  4. I must have missed this about the transfer embargo, they had it lifted earlier this year, has the FL imposed another embargo on them now?
  5. CVA has been agreed, but HMRC are expected to appeal and drag them back to court within 28 days (by mid July time) There we all hope is when the CVA will be unravelled
  6. TBF the referee was Serbia's best player
  7. Germany don't have a rivalry with us, they only have a rivalry with the Dutch.
  8. just signed for Barcelona unfortunately
  9. i thought it was gonna be max mosley when I first saw it on the BBC News ticker
  10. 3-2 win to Brazil
  11. Japan looking very handy tonight against Denmark. 2-0 up through two superb free kicks by Endo and Honda. Thoroughly deserve their lead. Denmark need 3 goals to avoid going out in the group stage.
  12. anyone seeing this Mahut Isner game? It's 34 games all in the final set, match approaching 7 hours and is the longest in Wimbledon history
  13. Can't see it. The Germans are bound to capitalise on a defensive mix-up/goalkeeping gaffe
  14. looking like we're gonna play the Germans in the last 16 thanks to that last minute USA winner I believe just beating Ghana will almost certainly win them the group, barring Serbia scoring 3 more goals than the germans whilst beating Australia
  15. Seriously why don't you lot start an AFC Pompey and start again through the lower leagues? The club in it's current state is nothing more than a carcass being sucked dry of laundered/dirty money. As for moaning about people providing opinions on here about financial matters and "pretending to be better than other fans" maybe that is because we as a whole don't give a toss about the so called Portsmouth-Southampton rivalry like you all do, and don't have to resort to shouting abuse at any player who once spent a couple of weeks on trial at Pompey FC.
  16. That's because chocolate biscuits fall under the "luxury biscuit" bracket which VAT is paid on. McVities went a long way to prove that Jaffa Cakes were in fact cakes and not biscuits just because they didn't have to pay the VAT. The technical difference between a biscuit and a cake, is a biscuit will eventually go soft and cake will eventually go hard. McVities ended up having to spend quite a bit of dosh designing Jaffa Cakes so they went hard when uneaten.
  17. Are you Harriet Harman?
  18. Korea totally fell apart, they conceded as many goals in today's game than they did in their 16 qualifying games
  19. What sort of speeds were you getting with O2? I'm with O2 currently and am consistently getting speeds of 15MB for £15 a month regardless of time of day, with unlimited usage. I'm not in a remote location however, but they should have done a line check first to check you could get reasonable speeds for what you were paying for
  20. strange I thought he missed out through injury. I stand corrected
  21. could HMRC throw the "appeal against the CVA" spanner into the works on the 30th June, just before the club are due to come out of admin?
  22. bloody drogba, 11 mins away from winning 150 quid on a 3-0 win for Brazil and he scores
  23. Cos apart from Spain and Germany, no other European teams are any better than the top South American teams and the top Asian and African teams on their day. Unrest in the England and French camps and Italy have a very sub standard strikeforce
  24. Andrei Shevchenko when he could run
  25. Gregory Vignal has just been released by Brum apparently
