Did you get the BNP like me? LOL

Niemi has left Pompey. Had his contract cancelled by mutual consent

Their actually valid on your licence for just 3, but can't be removed until 4 years after they were added

They've tended to in my experience. A lot of it depends on whether your a young driver or not I suspect, my mate's son (early twenties) got caught doing 45 in a 30 mph zone just before he had to renew his insurance. (first offence, 1 year no claims bonus) He got a 60 quid fine and 3 points on his licence. After extensive research on confused.com and elsewhere, when getting insurance for his 2nd year he found out that practically all the insurance companies had tagged 140 quid minimum on to what his quote would have been had he not got done for speeding. I also remember my insurance going up a bit when I got caught once in the mid 90s. As for the original post, it's likely you'll get 3 points and a 60 quid fine. You'll have to hand your licence in to your local police station I expect. But cracking down on speeding is a complete witchhunt now where I drive frequently (Portsmouth and surrounding areas). A 20 year old friend of mine gave me a lift home recently going down the Eastern Road and we got followed by a copper. "Followed" then became "tailgated" and we were pursued 7 miles home literally to the end of my road, despite the fact that at least 3 cars had overtaken us on the Eastern Rd well in excess of the speed limit. (I've heard this happen to quite a few people on their respective journeys, all blokes between 18-25 funnily enough). I actually made a note of the squad car's registration number and encouraged my mate to make a formal complaint. If it had been me and I'd have been in my old car, I'd have genuinely been tempted to deliberately slam my brakes on if a situation had arose that would have remotely warranted it, but it's quite a few years since I was in my twenties

Davis - 7 - Atrocious distribution but otherwise very solid Harding - 9 - Didn't give their winger a sniff, brilliant barring one error Fonte - 8 - Excellent Jaidi - 7 - Gave away one or two sloppy free kicks but otherwise very good Mills - 7 - Bit prone to hoofing but very good Wotton - 6 - Bit anonymous but solid Hammond - 8 - Worked very hard, constantly closing down Lallana - 9 - Link up play superb, could have had a hat trick if not for their keeper Papa Waigo - 7 - Very easy finish for his goal, I can't recall him being offside  Lambert - 8 - His mere presence, let alone excellent play scared the living daylights out fo their defence Antonio - 9 - Gave the Carlisle defence a torrid time, quality goal

It was for the waves and it was only a small section of the crowd doing it. When NC came on the screen the vast majority of the saints fans were pretty silent. I think today went a long way to illustrating what saints fans think of AP. Sky were making a mountain out of a molehill. Sky LOVE hype.

When the screen showed Markus there was a big cheer, when it showed Cortese there was silence. That Birtles commentator couldn't say a positive thing about Saints all day

better still, our cup win isn't going to bankrupt us LOL

Great drives by Button, Kubica and Alonso Great to see Chandhok finish the race also. It was exciting that race, I fear that was mostly down to the rain though. At least the next race in Malaysia the Sepang track provides a few overtaking opportunities

HMRC's tax bill just gets bigger and bigger. . .

I think that was quoted over the £15 million recently, I seem to remember a website even quoting it as £22 million

Martin Samuel, Daily Mail on Coretese: "self serving" and a "buffoon"
JackFrost replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
I think Lowe had a very close connection with the Mail. During his tenure every article printed in the Mail had come straight from the lips of Lowe. I'd have thought that RL was too smart to have a "jealous dig" at the new regime by attacking Cortese through his megaphone but the Mail have tended to be pro-Lowe from the late 90s. -
Oh liquidation (or death) is still definitely a possibility. The best summary is that they are buying more and more time until they can find a buyer who is willing to pay tens of millions of pounds to buy a club for free (to wipe the debts, and that's if Pompey even made themselves free to buy), and also willing to inject tens of millions of pounds again to start moving the club forward.

I remember us being 4th under WGS, when I think we drew our first 3 games of the season then won our next 3.
-
Anyone else bought this for the PS3? Must say so far I'm pretty disappointed with it, I expected to be able to do a full MotoGP season on it but instead all I'm able to do is 3 lap races around each track with 5 minute qualifying and practise sessions. Is there any way of changing the race length? I can't see one. Graphics are average, handling of the bikes isn't great, and it appears to be merely an arcade game.

"Final nail in coffin" comes to mind

I got into a brief discussion with a skate last night who is a friend of a friend of mine. I couldn't believe the things he was saying, it included "I don't get the big deal, yeah so we're in £80 million of debt. So what?" Then he tried to use the old "Well Man U are in far more debt than us etc.etc. I live just north of Portsmouth and some of the delusion round here is unbelievable
-
"But after members of the playing staff made enquiries about helping keep some of those axed, Grant has joined the movement." LOL I seem to remember reading only 2 players offered to even negotiate a pay cut
-
Is that just income tax? ie. does it include stealth taxes?
-
Not finding a buyer once the PL/parachute money has gone down the monetary drain I expect. Unless they find a buyer who is willing to pay tens of millions (not far off hundreds now I expect) of pounds to settle all their debts they will not survive. It just seems to me that the longer they go without paying their debts, the more the debts will escalate. If you keep blowing a balloon up it will eventually go pop.
-
Nope, the judge merely SUSPENDED (ie. didn't DISMISS it) the WUO due to HMRC accepting the validity of the administration, so if Pompey don't find a buyer in the near future they could still be wound up. Pompey is haemorrhaging money and the debts are ballooning. There's no way this would be allowed to continue in the long run. Also I believe there is some rule, if certain debts aren't cleared the FL won't let them start next season in the Championship. And if they did manage to start next season it's more than likely they'll start with hefty points deductions, buyer or no buyer. I'm happy to be corrected, but that's how I understand it.

Yep let's ban plant food containing mephedrone because a small minority of idiots abuse it and it MIGHT (no one even knows for sure yet) have caused two deaths. Well then we'd better ban alcohol, nicotine, anti-depressants, deodorants (their a device for solvent abuse now apparently), cars, any sweet anyone could possibly choke on etc.etc.etc. Their all far more dangerous, and most cause far more deaths. Banning just means perpetrators will find something else to achieve the same affect.
-
and this is assuming they find a buyer in the next few weeks so they're not wound up?
-
Ah so the judge has effectively decided that the admin is legal, but it is only a short term/last chance 3 week period? Pompey either need to find a buyer quick or they get wound up?
