If you looking around Ocean Village, Chiquito’s is good if you like Mexican or a bit posher, Merchants next door, only been there once (a while back) but had a very good meal. As said, a varied good, choice around Oxford Street and a couple of decent Italian resturaunts in the area too. Ennios opposite Town Quay is very good.

One thing that keeps this away from the authorities considering it is the risk of upsetting the scousers, so it was also interesting to see them discussing and encouraging it on their forums last week as they're so concerned with the shocking atmosphere at Anfield these days. I'm more than happy to give the guy a chance. That was his first taste of Premier League football, he'll need a few games under his belt to get the pace of it over here. Anfield is pretty much a baptism of fire (albeit not a very noisy one!) for your first experience.
