  1. IMHO people claiming to be Saints fans should never want to swap with other teams just because they might then get to Wembley. What next for those that do then? They might as well openly admit to being skates as the skates obtained the FA Cup at Wembley a few years ago. Ottery my dad took me to the Dell as a six year old but in 1954 so I am really old
  2. A Government telling porkies ? Nothing to see here move along please. I thought that the numbers of immigrants were indeterminable so how can any numbers be correct.
  3. Anyone who abuses children or animals is a scumbag of the highest order and no punishment is too harsh. These scumbags come from all political and religious persuasions.
  4. It is never to early to start saving for your retirement, remember you can never have too much money when you have stopped working and no longer getting an income from working. Just a point that some might not think of be careful how much you are being charged for management fees of your money as even 1.5% instead of 1.0% can make a hell of a difference over 40 years or so.

  6. Most of you probably know this but as I have only just heard and just in case there are more like me I have posted this. The Highways Agency announced in January that it will be testing GREY average speed cameras on the M1, M6 and M25 in the not too distant future. The former Minister who campaigned successfully for speed cameras to be painted yellow under the last government, John Spellar, has said that it is purely a money making exercise: "They simply wanted to catch as many drivers as possible going over the speed limit, which made money, whereas my intention was to make drivers slow down at known accident blackspots, which made the roads safer." "If they are bringing back grey cameras now, it will look like a victory for those was wanted to hide cameras in the first place." "Ministers should resist it as hard as possible." A return to the 'bad old days'? Time will tell...
  7. Bear, do you really believe that ?? :mcinnes:
  8. Well the BBC still say he has passed away. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/26327020 .
  9. http://arstechnica.com/science/2013/04/how-nasa-brought-the-monstrous-f-1-moon-rocket-back-to-life/2/ "Because they didn't have the analytical tools we have today for minimizing weight, everything was very robust," noted Betts, when I asked what they found as they tore down the engine. "That's apparent in really every aspect of the engine. The welds—" "Oh, the welds!" interrupted Case. "The welds on this engine are just a work of art, and everything on here was welded." The admiration in his voice was obvious. "Today, we look at ways of reducing that, but that was something I picked up on from this engine: just how many welds there were, and how great they looked." You look at a weld that takes a day," he continued, "and there are thousands of them. And these guys were pumping engines out every two months. It's amazing what they could do back then and all the touch labor it took." "Their ability to withstand imperfection, too," said Betts. "There were a few things on the engine that we disassembled, where today you may throw that part away because of the imperfections, but it goes to show that they fully understood what the big drivers were in their design. That's one thing we were trying to get knowledge on: what imperfections were OK to live with versus what imperfections are going to give us problems?"
  10. Thought this news might bring a touch of happiness Southampton's 18-year-old goalkeeper Will Britt has been called up by Gibraltar.
  11. For what it is worth I agree 100% with this. Perhaps IF Saints started buying players and then start paying said players £300,000 per week () that is the time to think they can compete for the title. Until that day arrives just be pleased we are where we are.
  12. As a lot on here seem to think that Saints don't give enough respect to the FA and League cups do people think that Saints would take this Europa cup seriously ?

  14. :uhoh:Now look what you have done Tokyo
  15. You may very well regret posting that IF Bear reads it. He is bound to come up with reasons as to why you posted that. Whether they will be really true who knows but I will no doubt enjoy reading them
  16. I thought that her backing singers looked much better and desirable. Of course it could just be that my old eyesight is a bit faulty
  17. I thought that I would. It might cheer some of you lot up a bit. .
  18. Well I didn't get a PM from Glasgow but I enjoy reading most of his posts. I also enjoy most of Alpines as well. I used to like to read always sensible posts from Weston Saint, Ponty, St Landrew and Eastleigh Soul Boy but alas they hardly post these days or so it seems. I won't name the couple or so who get on my nerves because that is my problem not theirs. I don't have anyone on ignore. .
  19. Governments and lots of individuals have jumped on this bandwagon purely to take money from ordinary people. Paying more money to them will never ever do any good for the ordinary people who are scared because they believe everything their Government has told them. All you ever hear is "pay us more tax" - no real solutions ever seem to be put forward so what is really happening to all this extra tax that is being gouged out?
  20. A real feel good article with video that lasts about 9 minutes, mind some might find the subject and language upsetting. I DIDN'T  http://sotomayortv.com/chicagocopkillswouldberobber/
  21. Forget AGW: Somerset was flooded by E.A. Incompetence Very interesting article all about this here:- http://tallbloke.wordpress.com/2014/02/14/forget-agw-somerset-was-flooded-by-e-a-incompetence/#more-15855 My sincere sympathy to all who are suffering.
  22. Ah but a bigger stand will mean even more of the 250,000 from Southsea Common presently unable to get a ticket will now be able to. This will of course mean a massive influx of money to pay for better players.Perhaps more lawyers to help adjust the debt payments due (whenever they are.)
  23. For quite a long time I used to think that people were talking about Sabrina Le Beauf an actress. It was only very recently that I realised that they were talking about a bloke.
  24. Well in NZ kick off was 01:45 but I stayed up and went to bed at 04:00 I stayed up as it was the first Saints live game I could see on TV and it was a pretty gruesome match but at least when it was over I went straight to bed. As others have said I really feel sorry for the Saints fans who actually attended, their trip home must have been horrendous. All in all a bad weekend for results as not only did Saints lose and that pimpey lot won but in Cricket Australia won against South Africa and NZ look like they will lose against India. Ah well life goes on so roll on the next set of games
