  1. Watched Garth Crooks and Martin Keown throw there toys out of the pram about it on Final Score while watching the match The BBC just hate us for some reason. fact is there was intent by the Villa player to foul Jay and he moved his leg to avoid injury and Halsey gave it for that reason end of story. to say he dived is just ludicrous i'm sure Garth Crooks and Martin Keown have done some questionable thinks in the game before and got away with it. and we deserve a bit of luck from refs for a change too
  2. I'd take no less than 3 end of
  3. Typical BBC anti Saints fodder story trying to make out Jay Rod is unhappy at Saints. It must be a slow day in the transfer window to try and put words in his mouth like that, the BBC have a bit of a problem with Saints it seems
  4. Mark Lawrenson again expects us to lose His verdict below on the match with Villa Villa are a team with a lot of problems but their biggest one is that teams do not have to work hard to create a lot of chances against them. Bradford of League Two did it in the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final on Tuesday. Villa were turned over by Wigan in their last home league game game and boss Paul Lambert must be worried that will happen again on Saturday. Saints are not great on the road, but they have got some good forward players and they create a lot of chances. But in a funny way, Tuesday's defeat by Bradford may not have been the worst thing that could have happened to Villa. They can still win that tie for a start. It highlighted all their problems and that can help bring about the right reaction. It was so bad, their players might have lost some of their fear factor and be thinking "come on - whatever we do now, we have got to have a go at everything". Southampton have stuttered a bit in the past few weeks and this game is certainly a winnable one for Villa. Lawro's prediction: 2-1 He never seems to back us to win a game
  5. When has he had stick from the fans??, even if he has had there's no excuse to kick balls into a stand where young kids sit..... is there. It just struck me as a bit out of character for him to do something like this where you could see absolutely no reason for it to happen and he looked really generally upset at something that's all, be interested to hear from anyone else who witnessed it
  6. Best chant of the day at Wenger by the Northam "Your just a French Jimmy Savile" quality!!!!
  7. In the warm up today Kelvin Davis booted 3 or more balls purposely into the family stand area in the Kingsland/Chapel Corner. After this had happened he looked really fed up and looked uninterested while the squad did shooting practice against him. Does anyone know why this is? as I couldn't really see any reason for him to do this as there were no people having a go at him or anything like that, and this is a bit out of character for Kelvin to say the least. Could it be because he has been told of Butlands imminent arrival and the fact he was dropped today signals the end of his time at Saints?
  8. Sooner Boruc leaves the better, i've watched him in numerous warm ups before matches and he hardly inspires confidence, he looks uninterested and lethargic to say the least. FFS get Butland in for £6 Million in January bet Brum would do a deal now that is if those Scousers haven't bagged him already
  9. I'm just a realist, not an optimist, cannot afford to give away points like that and its not like it was the first time this season is it
  10. Sooner we get relegated the better, We went up too soon in my opinion and are ill prepared for the Premier League. we are a laughing stock in this league FACT. Our new signings are completely out of there depth, with that Jap Yoshida probably the worst defender i've seen in a Saints shirt (yes even worse than Jermaine Wright). Can anyone think of a decent Jap player ever?????? We should of won this game when 3-1 up and a clear opening to make it 4-1 was wasted by our comedy Brazilian. Lets not kid ourselves apart from the first goal from Rickie the other 2 goals were very lucky for us, but the combination of comedy defending for their 1st and 2nd goals the open goal miss and a wonder strike for their 3rd cost us the points today. I thinks Arsenal will wipe the floor with us on new years day too It doesn't matter if we buy anyone in the transfer window because the damage is already done. I am of the opinion that the club were so shocked to get promoted last season that we did not have the tactical nous or budget to support the amount of players required in the right areas to strengthen the squad enough to cope with the rigors of the premier league much the same as Reading are seeing and it has cost us dearly. Roll on next season in the Championship when we can build the squad properly as it should be done or if by some quirk of fate we do stay up get rid of the players who we know cannot cut it sooner rather than later. PS HAPPY NEW YEAR
  11. Lawro does not think we will get a result today his assessment is as follows:- "The Saints are not too clever on the road and, although they have improved defensively, I cannot see them getting anything at the Britannia Stadium." Would be great for Nige and the boys to make him eat those words COYR!!!!
  12. Kelv palmed it straight to Berbatov to tap in FFS
  13. The guys only 22 FFS and is trying to adapt to the English game after playing in then slow paced Italian league in the best league in the world against the best players in the world so give him a break and judge him on his performances at the end of the season. I for one have faith he will come good in the end we are not a 1 man team we are 11 players vs 11 players and everyone has to perform together and that was why we lost today because we didn't
  14. Gazza won't make the team now with Kelv back between the sticks, he had a great game back vs Reading personally I am less nervy when Kelv is playing
  15. Yes Lee was rubbish gave away the ball too cheaply and although he scored the 1st penalty he missed the 2nd vital one when it was 1-1 and would of won us the game for sure. Mayuka was slightly better but was knocked about by the united defenders and had no end product to his play. I can see why both Lee and Mayuka are not anywhere near the starting line up as they need to toughen up if they are to stand any chance at all Nigel was in the stands watching too and must have been disappointed by what he saw from those two in particular, on brighter note young Callum Chambers looked good as did Jack Stevens who wound up Macheda big time
  16. I think we will lose against Stoke this season
  17. Game was lost in the first half with our suicidal defending (the words "we couldn't defend a fish supper" spring to mind) , better 2nd half but always chasing the game. Jrod was awful today, he plays worse when up against better opposition subs to late again Hoping for better against Fulham next week
  18. Yellows yellows!!!
  19. Yellows yellows!!!

  21. Hope we don't become a Cropper if he lets a few in
  22. Just announced on SKY Billy Sharp on season long load to Forest
  23. Been a long drawn out saga for Gaston Ramirez, just hope its worth it.......can't wait to see him play Vs Arsenal SKY coverage for this transfer is a joke £12mil spent by us and hardly a eyelid batted......SHOCKING but hopefully Gaston will show em Vs Arsenal just what a great player he is. Still time also to get 1 more in before the deadline at 11pm COYR!!
  24. As others have said Jack Stephens should be given a go, Seabourne sounds like one mistake away from a Stevenage goal at the moment
  25. Almost half time......not one Saints shot on target yet and a few for Stevenage Even with the team we have out we should be owning them Chaplow and a few other fringe players should be busting there balls to put in a performance tonight
