  1. A bit like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted
  2. A flaming shambles that's what it is.........Marcus Liebherr must be rolling in his grave at this travesty of selling off all our talented players leaving us vulnerable to the drop next season.........although we have lots of new talented young players to replace the ones who have left, it takes time to establish them into the 1st team, and we achieved this before growing them through League 1 and the Championship to the Premier League ramping up the quality everytime we got promoted. If you expect to throw in 8 or so rookie young players into the Premier League you are gonna get burnt every time. Just look what was handed to Jan Poortvliet in the Championship in 2008/09 exactly the same scenario with too many young players in the side and we got relegated.....I fear history will repeat itself this season with another Dutchman at the held (although he has a much better reputation) unless the board back him with the money to get new experienced players in and not burden the young players with the massive task ahead....as Alan Hansen has always said "You can't win anything with Kids"
  3. Anyone know when the official squad numbers are being announced? It will be interesting to see who gets the coveted number 7 shirt after SRL's exit.
  4. Agree with this, £30 Million for an 18yr old with one season behind him is a good deal.....however Lallana and Lovern can rot in hell for all I care.........can't wait for August 16th to see the lads stick it to 'pool COYR!!
  5. oh do grow up you lot
  6. Anyone but Di Canio
  7. Depends on who gets to spend it, Spurs blew £100 mil they got for Gareth Bale on lots of unproven players with so called big reputations and egos who turned out to be awful in the Premiership, so we really need proven players which will cost more and not more mediocre euro dross. Just hope if we do sell Adam or Luke we negotiate a good sell on clause unlike the Gareth Bale deal debacle where we were suckered into getting Forcast in part exchange due to the financial trouble we were in at the time and waving pittance of a sell on cause that was there anyway.
  8. Welbeck could be a good option for us http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27095993

    Clyne

Think Clyne has gone backwards this season. due mostly to the emergence of Callum Chambers and he does put a good cross in from the byline, although there are question marks regards his defending, its good though to have 2 young RB's fighting it out for 1 position as good LB and RB's are always hard to come by
  10. So sorry for the 859 fans who made the trip up..........Mopo can quit at the end of the season for all I care now utter ****e today
  11. Wanyama gifted them that chance, feel sorry for those who made the trip......shocking
  12. One of the worst 1st half's between 2 premier league teams i've seen this season. woeful in the final third from boths teams, can only get better 2nd half, if only we put out our 1st eleven we would have walked it
  13. Thank F*** CORK on for Wanyama!!!
  14. Vic is shocking.......bring back Cork at HT for FS!!!! can't see why he dropped him in the 1st place
  15. i reckon him and his agent conspired the Fonte fight and the previous one too at Newcastle to get a move in the January transfer window, he is clearly not fitting in here and wants a move back to Italy with the other cheatin Ities to perfect their cheating ways for the world cup
  16. No we F******* shouldn't it must remain St Mary's Had enough of that crap when was the 'Friends Provident Stadium' when it first opened Just ask a Newcastle fan about 'The Sports Direct Stadium'........ oops sorry 'St James park'
  17. He did not look fit or his mind was elsewhere yesterday even before coinciding the 2 soft goals and the incident where he went down, Kelvin was ready to replace him but stayed he on. a risking strategy if he made another mistake, as he would have cost us the game. I know its debatable that Kelvin would of leaked more goals but this is why we need some decent cover in this position. We don't know what effect the departure of Cortese has had on him for instance? With questions over his fitness or state of mind he should be rested against Yeovil next weekend (i'm sure he wil be) so he can get himself right for Arsenal on Tuesday, if he plays like he did against Sunderland and potentially with Jos or Yoshida at the back it would be disastrous to risk him in view of what happened last time out
  18. Reckon Di Canio is waiting in the wings at Cardiff, same mentality as the chairman it seems

    Diego

Saints being linked with Wolfsburgs Diego in January http://www.ftbpro.com/posts/omar.hamouda/517902/brazilian-midfielder-diego-attracting-interest-from-arsenal-and-southampton?ref=facebook&team=Southampton
  20. Good ball winner and has great strength, but passing is woeful as seen on Sunday, not worth the £12M fee shelled out so far
  21. Going to Leeds on Sunday according to the buzz on twitter
  22. About his level playing in the french league, was pants for us when given the chance, hope we reinvest the money on his wages on a winger we are desperately short of pace in the team now he has gone
