When he is sold..... which will be in the summer , why would he stay based on the current situation.... would you???
-
Such a crappy feeling this season after all the highs of the previous 2-3 seasons under ambitious managers who set up the team to play and man manage players the right way. it's 2 steps forward and 1 massive step back......back to the championship that is if this continues i'd also like to think we'll beat Liverpool to reach Wembley but if by some miracle we achieve that we'd probably get annihilated by Utd in the final with this team the way we play. Unlikely we'll do any business in the transfer window going by Puel's Thursday pre-match press conference too which only confirms our lack of ambition to push on from last season which we should of done correctly in the summer after losing Mane,Pelle and Wanyama without Austin we are toothless and Useless, and if Alex McCarthy is fit for the love of god PLAY him instead of that oaf we currently have between the sticks
-
We are a disaster in the league this season...... all the chances and no end product, so depressing
-
Found this quote from Les Reed from the SFC site when Puel was first appointed “Claude has a track record of improving the situations he has been presented with and we are confident he can repeat this at Southampton". Not working out too well currently is it Les, would say the opposite is happening quite frankly
-
Eric Black is a fluent speaker in french apparently and Puel knows him from his time playing for Monaco in the french league in the late 80's early 90's while Black was a player for Metz
-
No competition for his place can't help after all we are hardly going to start Stuart Taylor or young Harry Lewis..... When Alex McCarthy gets back to full fitness then expect changes to be made.....just hope we don't suffer more costly errors until then. I suspect when Alex is back to full fitness Fraser's form will miraculously pick up Anyone have am update of how long Alex is out for??
-
No just saying he's a better PL manager than Puel will ever be
-
A new manager !! heard there's a good one just been made available
-
I think he did a good job here helping to mould a competitive and successful team practically from scratch with the club in league one on -10 points bringing in the likes of Lambert, Barnard, Harding etc and don't forget he took us to Wembley and won our 1st trophy (however insignificant) for decades, I still can't fathom why we sacked him when he was the catalyst behind our resurgence back to the Premier League, he's 100% better then Claude Puel. Think Palace are crazy to fire him too as he also took them to Wembley and re-built their squad too after Warnock left them is a dire state he almost took them into the Europa League too. I would welcome him back here
-
were crap with a clueless manager, end of, off to get ****ed down the pub and forget about football cya when Puel is sacked
-
Jay Rod and Tadic on at last
-
gutless should be 1 up at least by now, Stoke are rubbish
-
Williams looks shocking today for Everton
-
Can see Koeman putting in a in January bid based on Ashley William's performance today Vs Watford
-
to be fair they are performing much better than we did yesterday at 3-1 down they never gave up and with the players they have compared to Liverpool's they have shown them up as they can be rattled if you get at them, Matip is a big miss in defence for them too as Lovren and Lucas will always be shaky under pressure I like the way Bompey play and it's a lesson for our players to emulate....
-
Looks like our traditional xmas period slump has well and truly started early this season, some abject performances by most of our players out there today
-
Let's see if the team can make Ron eat those words by the end of the season, if that's not motivation for the players to get into the top 6 at least I don't know what is, should be an interesting game when we play them at St Mary's on the 27th
-
not got mine yet eithier, no great shakes as plenty of time left for them to post them out
-
Tadic has had his face re-arranged while playing against Wales, kicked in the face by Gareth Bale, blood everywhere, thankfully looks like he's ok
-
Hesketh had an amazing game tonight

Van Dijk's reaction says all you need to know Seem's players are struggling to adapt to Puel's style of play Must be as frustrating for them trying to play it as it is for us watching it, when I was watching the game today i noticed Van Dijk looked a bit out of sorts even with Jose Fonte his CB partner at the back he was constantly covering for Fonte's and others mistakes as slow tempo possession football replaced the more direct fast and pressing football of the 3 previous seasons, the most frustrating thing is Claude Puel and Eric Black seem totally oblivious to the fact we can only play one formation (His) without any plan B, this might of worked in the French league but the Premier League is a different kettle of fish as i'm sure is is discovering, hope he and the players can turn it round and discover a winning formula but in this league time is not a manager's friend if you don't get results
-
To watch a side with guts and determination switch on the hockey were winnning!!!
-
Off to watch the womens olympic hockey......more chance of getting a result there
-
He didn't have a plan against 10 men at home last Saturday, so away to Utd I don't expect him to have much of a plan there either
-
Would be amazed if we won this one, It will be telling if Fonte plays or not against a side who want to sign him, Expect more Yoshida at the back, also hopefully Puel will see sense and play Pied at RB and Hojbjerg for the lightweight JWP I'm not convinced Puel has any tactics up his sleeve for dealing with them with the players we have as Koeman and Poch at least had a better squad and tactical ability to change when required, after what I witnessed today against Bompey they were bullied into a mauling much like we were against Watford 1st half, we couldn't even beat that 2nd rate side with 10 men and Puel didn't even change formation to exploit our extra man, so against a title contender, with star players wanting to impress for places in future matches and with the Pogba debut factor and in front of an expectant 80,000 home crowd i'm expecting at least a 3-0 loss It's gonna be a long season folks without any quality in the side in key areas we have lost......just look at Mane and the others we sold today for a glimpse of that quality
