  1. Would've dropped Stephens instead of Yoshida but hey ho. Time for Boufal to shine, I really hope he's able to grasp this opportunity.
  2. Get him on the banner
  3. I'm glad someone said this. It's just all a bit over the top for my liking. Of course it's sad for the family and friends, but I don't understand why people have to make these things so public.
  4. Rubbish. I bet opposition players try and mark Messi out of the game, it doesn't work. It is up to Tadic to improve himself, he's been consistently poor for a while.
  5. Rees-Mogg always has been a nasty piece of work. He tries to hide behind it with his sweet puppy eyes look. The Conservatives aren't stupid though and wouldn't choose him as leader, Corbyn would win in a landslide.
  6. Liverpool never tap up
  7. He obviously has quite a high opinion of himself. The fact that he was our marquee signing when we returned to the Premier League probably didn't help either. Over the years, we progressed as a team, and quite simply, he did not.
  8. I'd go along with that, it certainly doesn't hurt to keep the opposition guessing.
  9. "Everything is normal" was the key line there. One presumes, therefore, that he is happy training and is happy to make himself available for first-team matches as and when the manager deems he is ready. I wonder though if he will play for the U23s first.
  10. 2008 was the last time we lost to Watford. We've been a bit of a bogey team for them, although records are there to be broken...
  11. Yeh, all of those great chances he created against Huddersfield... He's had his chance, time for someone else to get an opportunity.
  12. It seems to me as if SKD is so desperate for snippets that he's willing to believe anything that anyone says. If I wanted unsubstantiated rumours I'd buy a copy of the Express.
  13. It's not belittling anyone, it's calling someone out for outright lying. The guy tried to pass himself off as an ITK, and got caught out. Perhaps you're a little embarrassed that you fell for it. Next time, try to be a bit more sceptical when unconfirmed sources post things on the internet I think it was quite telling that when St Chalet offered a solution to determine once and for all the validity of an ITK, nobody took him up.
  14. Why would his "source", which apparently is an ex-player, tell him that the players were in training all week when they weren't?
  15. But you said he had been training on his own. Yet today was the first day they were back training. Information does change, of course, but there is a rather large discrepancy between your post and the facts.
  16. Another "ITK" bites the dust And there's an Echo article which says this was the first day back for the players, as they were all given time off.
  17. I liked Chaplow. Always gave 100% for us. I'm glad he's at peace with himself, I couldn't begin to imagine what he was going through.
  18. Yup, Les Reed was all set to announce our new striker Kate Middleton, and then she goes and gets herself pregnant.
  19. Virgil Van Dijk, Virgil Van Dijk I just don't think you understand You signed a six-year deal We don't care how you feel F*** off Virgil Van Dijk
  20. The top two replies to Michael Eisner on Twitter make for an interesting read...
  21. A few boos at the final whistle
  22. Hahahahaha, now the away fans are singing OWTSGMI
  23. Lots of hoofball. Plenty of empty seats. Not so much quality on display. And Rotherham go 1-0 up
  24. You have to laugh at them having a player on the bench called 'Bass'
  25. He was INJURED for much of the season in 2016/17. He is fully fit, and with us not scoring in three out of the four games we played (yes, one of them he started, but it was the reserve team and it doesn't really count), he merits a starting place. I do understand why people have reservations about him, and he has much to learn. He remind me of Lallana a little bit when he was younger - always trying one too many stepover. He has all the attributes to be a top player, and he at the perfect club, but it is up to him to realise those ambitions. I really, really, really hope he does it, because we will benefit on the field. But there is only so much the club and the management staff can do, and he needs to take responsibility. If Pellegrino had promised him playing time, and he hasn't had it, then perhaps one can understand his disappointment. But Pellegrino isn't stupid, and there must be a valid reason for him not playing. Therefore, instead of blaming others, Boufal needs to work harder on the training ground, and when the opportunity arrives where he is given playing time, he must take it. He can be our most exciting player, he can be the one that unlocks a stubborn defence that parks the bus for ninety minutes (and is seemingly our Achilles' heel) but he has to want it, and he has to motivate himself, rather than having a hissy fit and running away to another country.
