  1. We surely can't go into this game playing Diallo and Elyounoussi. Hopefully he's just trying to keep Everton guessing as to who will be the team (or am I clutching at straws...?)
  2. Probably celebrating the famous 0-0 draw against Liverpool Same small time inferiority complex as our blue neighbours
  3. Weird. They've won one game all season. They're more likely to go down than we are
  4. A Arm and Djenepo have been alright this season. I'll give you Diallo and Elyounoussi, I'd be disappointed/annoyed if either of them start on Saturday
  5. To be honest, I read his comments as trying to give confidence to those not playing. I think he's playing what he believes is the strongest possible 11 in each game. I'd go this for Saturday Bazunu KWP ABK Salisu Perraud AMN JWP Mara Aribo A Armstrong Adams
  6. I don't think anything will happen before the World Cup break
  7. Pellegrino was far, far, far, far, far worse. Come on. Saying stuff like our season is unsalvageable with Ralph - what on earth are you talking about? Are you looking at the same league table as me, sure you're not looking at Leicester? Baffling remark
  8. How do we not know that Selles is behind us being more defensive this season? Maybe he's the problem. Just a thought
  9. Trains to Southampton from London should be OK - they'll probably just be a bit busier.
  10. Yes, last train from Central is at 5pm
  11. Don't think I'm being too dramatic in saying that anything other than a win would be massively disappointing.
  12. Given the quality of squads he's had at his disposal, I genuinely think it's a miracle we're still in the league. Clearing up the mess left by Pellegrino and Hughes, and also by Les Reed/Krueger, no tall order. I actually hadn't looked at the league table for a while but assumed we were a couple of places off the drop zone the way everyone is talking, turns out we're actually higher up. So yeah the start hasn't been that great but hardly catastrophic.
  13. Out of interest, were any polls taken before Pellegrino and Hughes were sacked? Surely that would have been closer to 90% them getting the boot
  14. Ralph with the centre back duo of Fonte and VVD would be quite good to watch I reckon. Instead he had Vestergaard and Bednarek to work with.
  15. My actual view is I will make up my mind after the Liverpool game. We've had 7 games, despite what Ducky says it has been tough, and the only two concerning performances have been Spurs and Villa. After the World Cup break would be the time to make that assessment. Doing that now, and especially where a couple of wins bumps us up (winnable home games coming up) would be ludicrously stupid. Also, our biggest issue was not signing a top striker. Changing the manager won't solve that problem
  16. I've said it before and I will keep on repeating it - we will get relegated if we sack him.
  17. Objectively you're wrong, we scored against Leicester from one of the throw ins.
  18. Here's something I came across today. Not sure if it's been repeated in English football but as we were specifically singled out I think we hold this distinction In 2000 we appointed a former England manager. In 2018 we appointed a former Wales manager. In 2001 and 2005 we appointed future Scotland managers. In 1973 we appointed a future Northern Ireland manager. (Hoddle, Hughes, Strachan, Burley and McMenemy)
  19. Annoyingly they got a last minute equaliser against Plymouth that kept them in the top 2
  20. I'm going to requote myself 5 years later because the same will apply for this season as well..
  21. Sorry but I keep seeing this argument and it's absolute nonsense, given we haven't been relegated under him in his years in charge here.
  22. Not sure if it's an error but on the ticket website, they're showing as available to buy
  23. This is exactly my point of view
  24. Actually, it's incredibly selfish of you to suggest that the only way you can mourn and is to therefore inconvenience people. As said above, what a moment St Mary's would have been tomorrow to see everyone show their respects. It won't be the same to do so at a later date.
  25. It's a massively OTT reaction to cancel everything and to inconvenience people like this. It would have been far more respectful for us to come together, every Premier League team, and indeed every English team, and show their respects, it would have been a poignant moment.
