I like the Brighton fans. Apparently it is arrogant of us to suggest that we might catch them, but not arrogant of them to say that we definitely won't. I feel a bit sorry for them to be honest, their "style" of play is awful to watch, tapping it around the back four, timewasting, niggly fouling, waving imaginary cards. Effective, yes, but easy on the eye, no. Not my cup of tea. They play like Poyet did as a player, and I didn't like him either.

They are panicking. One win in 6 league games. We are coming to get them and they know it. There was only so far their despicable "style of play" was going to get them.

I think if we brought him back, he would be even worse than he was before he left. He is a sulker. Let him go.

The football is definitely more attractive than it was under Pardew. Up until recently I would have argued that it was not necessarily more effective, but we are beginning to dominate sides now.

No. Not because I don't think he is good enough, but because I think he has already decided he wants out, and wont perform at his best for us anymore. There is a reason he doesn't last long at any club.

It isn't always, but this respect I firmly believe it is. When we signed Puncheon we were warned by fans of Plymouth and MK that he is a temperamental character. He wants to be first choice, he deservedly isn't here at the moment, so he wants out. At Millwall he is and he is rewarding them for it. If we brought him back, he wouldn't play well for us.

I'll say this again, from two very reliable sources, one that has played with Austin and one that has played against him on numerous occasions, the guy is reputedly a prize **** and a disruptive dressing room influence. Swindon's drop in form has been attributed to his team mates dislike of him and his "big I am" attitude. I have also heard similar from Swindon fans. He is no doubt extremely talented and would score goals, but at what cost? Not sure signing him would make long term sense. p.s. If we sign him, I will of course support him. 100%.

Interesting take on Chaplow signing for us from Preston fans on another forum, they say he plays well until he earns a contract, then loses interest. Sounds similar to what many of our fans are saying about one of our players out on loan.......

I have had two of these in my time. Here they are:- 1. Neil Heaney. Me and a few mates walking up Milton Road to a game at the Dell, circa 1994, all slagging Heaney off, hoping he wasn't going to play, I was being particularly vocal about his ability to run the ball into touch. I turned round, for whatever reason and there walking right behind us was Heaney and Richard Hall. Heaney looked very sheepish but said "Alright lads" we all said "Alright", my mate got his autograph. I swear Richard Hall was smirking. I remember being surprised to find Heaney had a Northern accent...... 2. Agustin Delgado. Out for a mates birthday, had a few drinks and ended up in "For Your Eyes Only". Literally about 5 minutes after we got in and sat at a table, in walks the Ecuadorian sicknote, in full on Scarface style white suit, all alone armed with only a wedge of cash. So much for getting my mate a birthday dance, as all the girls only had eyes for the Tinman. We got his autograph surrounded by bare breasts and headed off.......... Anyone else had any?

Good interview. Sounds like he was desperate for the deal to come off, even says it was "just his luck" when Ferguson got sacked, and that they wanted to get the deal done asap. Fair do's to his old man as well. 8 hour round trip for home games!
