In answer to the original question, I think he will be here. He came here knowing that we were on -10 and that promotion would be an outside possibility. If an offer does come in I fully expect us to reject the offer. Although every player does have his price!! I would like to think the board and in particular Cortese - as he is showing what brilliant business acumen (Spelling?) he has, would only accept if the offer was too good to turn down as we simply don't need the money. I also believe that it would have to be a very "Big" club to come in. I would have also thought that his contract has certain clauses re promotion, goals etc so would automatically gain higher wages. All in my opinion of course

If we did indeed put in a offer at midday then we are still in for him as we (SAINTSFC) knew that JP was already signed as that deal was probably concluded either late Friday or first thing Saturday morning because he was announced at 10am. Totally agree with you. Pompey maybe in the lower regeions of the premiership, but only 3/4 pts away from the team directly above them. That does not mean that we are ready for them. Yet. I do not fancy being beaten on home turf by them. Never hear the end of it. We are by no means the finished article not by a long shot.
