4-2 off 3 would support that opinion...!

A look into the future...?

http://www.scottishrockettes.co.uk/ OK, so they might not all be Scottish (and they're not all fit either) but still... a few to mull over.

I rated Nielson. He would die for the cause, as illustrated by his block vs Newcastle, and was a very strong tackler and a good reader of the game. He didn't have pace to burn or too much of an attacking presence, but he was very solid and massively underrated IMO. (Had a lovely, friendly, down-to-earth wife too, who I worked with for awhile.) Players like him, Scott Hiley, Simon Charlton... they really gave a sh!t and put in massive effort, but were rarely given the praise because the midfield was often so ineffective infront of them, and Le Tissier took all the glory. But one of the main reasons we stayed up so often in the past was because of their contributions. How I would love some players in their mould these days...

Er, that would've been Al de Man, seeing as I was still on my way to the ground at that point!

Two things: 1) If you read that, what it actually says is that the reliance on 'climate science' alone to give us the 'facts' is dangerous. He says that by relying on science to the degree that politicians and others do, people are expecting too much... I actually agree. People on both sides of the argument, usually politicians and others who prefer to deal in black and white, rather than realising there are hundreds of shades of grey, point at graphs and figures and treat it as gospel, claiming that one disproves the other or vice versa, in order to be 'right' or 'wrong'. (Ring any bells George?) But Science is about learning and exploring, not necessaily knowing all the facts, and so it provides a basis for our own evolution according to it's ongoing findings, and as science evolves, so does our learning and our evolution accordingly(if we take the learning on board, something the human race isn't too good at). Science is undoubtedly helpful but on subjects like this, where there is so much still to learn, it is very dangerous to expect it to provide finite answers. 2) Is there anyone who is more ignorant and belittling than you George? Someone whose sole tactic is to abuse others who don't share your view? I know I've repeated this point in the past, but I think it's worth repeating again. There is so much we don't know, and probably never will in our lifetime... your metaphorical stance of 'la-la-la-i-can't-hear-you' with your fingers in your ears, beggars belief IMO. Quite sad really. I'll leave you with these: "Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" "A wise man changes his mind. A fool never."

I've re-enabled the right click (well, disabled the script that prevented the right click i guess) so you can download pics from the pages again now.
-
Have the photos open in one window, and if you want one, paste the following into a new window: http://www.2amphotography.co.uk/events/saintsweb/bin/images/large/ ... and then add on the name of the file at the end, for example: http://www.2amphotography.co.uk/events/saintsweb/bin/images/large/_L1_0522.jpg Then you can right click and 'Save Picture As...' Don't forget the underscores... they're part of the filenames. Like I said, I'll change the gallery at some point so you can just right click and download.
-
Yeah, that's the best way right now. It's a generic gallery I've used in the past which is relatively quick and simple to navigate so I just used it to quickly knock things out this morning. As I say, I'll change it to something more user friendly for downloading in the next few days.

Yes indeed, that was dubai phil.
-
Yeah, as I say, don't mind people using these smaller versions at all.
-
Yeah, I need to talk to Steve and Baj about it but they'll be available soon. I just wanted to get a basic gallery online for now. If you know what you're doing you can easily download the small versions that are on those pages, which I don't mind, but I'll sort something out to make hi-res versions/prints available.

How about now? http://www.2amphotography.co.uk/events/saintsweb/ We took over 1000 photos so in order to get them done (and get some sleep, and get to work on time today!) I've only done some very basic editing. Without the floodlights, it became quite difficult to get good shots as the second half wore on, as you'll see from the quality of some of the later photos with a lot of noise in them, but they still show some of the key moments, including the winning goal! If you look at any specific photo, use the back button to go back to the last index page... the 'Back to Thumbnails' link at the top takes you back to the first page, annoyingly. [Please excuse any layout errors or bits that look a bit weird on the pages... some of the files may not have uploaded properly and I can't sort them out til I get home later]

Photos to come tomorrow... I have to work my way through over 1000 shots...!

Both of us infact, although I may not get there until kick off due to work, but Al will capture all the pre-game 'excitement'.

The9 only scores from mine or Steve Grant's corners so he might as well stay back for any tomorrow... -
We could always rekindle EVERY thread in which someone has claimed something which was subsequently proved wrong, but then we'd probably need a much more powerful server...

It's to announce the signing of Rudi Skacel.

Why thank you Scott... it's rare that you stop talking about yourself for so long to mention others. Shame I can't play, due to finances, but then I have played at SMS twice, and even once at The Dell (scored two) so only fair I let you lot have a go...
