Just to quantify things... that although we have been below our own standards, we've still found a teammate with 86% of our passes, when our season average is 81%.
-
Comfortable half, been slightly lax in our passing at times, but nothing to worry too much about, just need to sharpen up a touch. Norwich have shown nothing, two off target efforts and one 'hand of god' attempt. We've only had one effort on target to be fair, but as long as we stay focused another chance or two will come our way. Boruc trying to be too precise with his kicking... he isn't usually this bad but when it's not quite going for you, you should probably err on the side of caution. Would be nice to get a tighter grip on the game with a few more goals, but pretty comfortable really.

This imaginary theme would also explain a lot of Corp Ho's posts on this thread over the last few years.
-
The Skates also currently hold the record for the highest number of imaginary shares held in a football club...

I can believe the bit about US intelligence leading Malaysia in the right direction in careful steps... but then again a country such as the US is clearly going to have greater resources available to it, in terms of satellite imagery and other intelligence, so frankly it shouldn't matter where the info comes from. Everyone should hopefully just be grateful for anything that helps find it. Just a shame that they need to do it this way, probably due to the attention from China...

Much of this is now becoming subjective based on individuals personal preferences. I think Southampton could be a lot better than it is, but I don't think it is as bad as many make out. I thought the thread should've been more about the subsidies given to Liverpool and whether that was 'fair' or not...

I'll happily admit to being relatively ignorant about politics during most of his time within it, and so am not particularly aware of his ways, but I certainly can't argue with this quote.

Sources, sources and more 'sources'. The cart appears to be trying to get ahead of the horse.

Another thing that strikes me from some of the comments made is that some people are expecting Ralph to have all the attributes himself, whereas it seems clear to me that he will provide some of the guidance and leadership for the organisation, but with Katharina, Gareth Rogers and the Hoff, we have a well defined Board, with a variety of skills and knowledge. We have effectively replaced Cortese with a Board, rather than like-for-like. And as a result returned to a more conventional corporate structure with governance built-in.

The only thing missing was the FA Cup in hands, symbolically taking them down, and the fact that she never surfaces again.
-
Don't usually get a quote about 'welcoming them back in the summer' ... on the face of it that would indicate he still has a place here, but time will tell.
-
And importantly, why are those parts incorrect? As I understand it, what sits wrote was pretty accurate.

Just like when KL first spoke after Cortese's departure, these are welcome quotes about the overall plan, which most people will welcome at face value. There is little of real substance here but none of the real strategy nitty-gritty was ever going to be discussed at a simple press conference to announce their appointment, so quite why some people seem intent on analyzing it to the nth degree to understand what our in-depth strategy will be, and then act disappointed with what they've read, I'm not sure. IMO, for some people to find so much negativity in yesterdays events takes some effort... but it's just a reflection on their own cynicism rather than what was said. Most people (I would suggest) will simply find it mildly encouraging and look forward to hearing more detail (and of course a new contract for MP) in due course, whilst maintaining an open mind. If you can't give people the benefit of the doubt and put some trust in them to do the right thing, and want to be cynical about them from the start, then I feel sorry for you to be honest. But anyway, these people are in the minority so little point in validating those views with any more response than is necessary. Welcome Ralph and co - I look forward to hearing more and seeing where the next part of our journey takes us.

This strikes me as the perfect thread to invite Corp Ho to join in on. I wonder if he's moved on?
-
Much was made of how hard it was to negotiate with Cortese... although he undoubtedly got good deals for us in many ways, I wonder if this tough stance prevented many others from going through. A softening of this attitude, whilst retaining a clear business focus, could indeed help the club improve its commercial side no end I suspect.

Clearly it needs to be commercially viable for her, but maybe she just enjoys it?

Nice acknowledgement of our origins IMO, using 'St Mary's'.

He's the best I've ever seen... at being an anti-motivator, an anti-coach, and an anti-tactician. He's the anti-manager.
-
The 777 has a 'glide ratio' of something like 17-1... it can glide 17 feet for every 1 foot it descends.
-
This is getting into pointless discussion territory now IMO. Personally, I agree with MLG that IF we sold Lallana and Shaw, we would not find ourselves in a 'dog fight at the bottom' as a result. However, it would be better for our progress all round if we could keep them, and the manager, and build on what we've achieved thus far.

I think you're reading way too much into these two Viking. People try to travel illegally for all sorts of reasons and via all sorts of routes, and in terms of numbers, FAR more people for this reason, than for terror-related activity. We don't know anything for certain and I'm certainly not ruling anything out, but I would be surprised if the fake passports were linked to terror-related activity, and especially the bringing down of this flight.

lol, who's the 'insider'?

Annoying editing on that video, but still good to see. Not really much in the way of clear-cut chances... even the home efforts that you would expect to see were all pretty comfortably dealt with. Shocking defending by City for our equaliser, but an excellent header from Stephens for the winner.

The ULB on 'black boxes' has a range of about 2 miles underwater I believe... given the size of the search area, that is a pretty small area to be in to hear it.

How old is his son?
