  1. Thanks Tokes - obviously no one would have you on ignore, so it's safe to stop there.
  2. Some direct quotes... before the Official announcement... better hope Cortese doesn't see that.
  3. That's where the 'ignore him' bit comes in.
  4. No you don't. And you will love me even more when we combine to score at WorldNET.
  5. Understatement Alps... I'm sure there will be more twists and turns to come yet.
  6. It's all quite simple really. Ignore the posts you don't think are worthy of response - by responding, in any way, you just highlight them more. Turks knows what he's doing - I've said before, him and Essruu used to wind me up years ago, but I just ignore the WUM stuff now. It's quite easy if you try. Just don't let it get to you. Turks actually has a lot of good opinions, but he reverts to type easily, and enjoys getting exactly the reaction he's getting now. Each to their own. Having different opinions is clearly good for the forum - it just helps if people back up their opinions with their reasoning, and respect others'. Insults and name calling don't help, but like above, just ignore it and don't validate it by responding.
  7. 221 for Glamorgan to win - and they're currently 42-3... game well and truly on.
  8. I am honestly not surprised in the slightest by this morning session... expected us to have a first innings lead of some kind, and it looks like it'll actually be quite healthy.
  9. Just to be clear, are you calling buctootim 'extreme left'?!?
  10. That may be true to a certain extent, but in this day and age, thanks to the internet and Newsnow etc, etc, articles are read all over the world. Also, there are plenty of papers who would happily have someone write the exact opposite to Hartson to ellicit a response, increase website hits and therefore online advertising revenue... cynical but true. Newspapers aren't exactly known for having articles that make people go 'Oh yes, I agree with that'.
  11. I think he's just making a general point that it's not always the *perceived* best teams who will do well in competitions.
  12. We resurrected his career to be honest - he was a bit of a laughing stock at Villa, I remember one of his glaring misses at St Mary's... but then we signed him, gave him confidence, saw his touch come back and he never looked back.
  13. As a couple of people have mentioned above, whether Celtic are a big club or not is a pointless debate... what the Hartson article prompts is a discussion about what is best for Wanyama, and whether Saints are likely to be in the bottom 6 next year as he seems to think. Clearly most of us would expect us to not be near the bottom 6 next season, especially Cortese. If we are, Pochettino will be off I have no doubt. As for Wanyama, it all makes perfect sense to me. Clearly we're not in Europe, and we may not be next season either, but by coming to us he is getting the chance to play week in, week out, against a higher overall standard of opposition. 6(I think) of our League opponents will be playing in Europe, and either he helps us to move up the league, or, if he continues his own development, he gains an even better reputation and would no doubt earn a move to a higher placed club in a couple of years if we don't live up to our expectations. Hartson would do well to consider all that. Comparing clubs directly, most players would choose Celtic, but when you consider the league, the opposition, the exposure and the future opportunities, he has made (or rather, is about to make) a very good move.
  14. It was in Jan/Feb 2013, next one is 2015.
  15. Do they have an equivalent thread on the Celtic forum? I know there's the B-list one with MLG on, but I wanna read the A list one.
  16. Can we retire from anything over 1-day?
  17. As someone said on Twitter (and was reposted on BBC TMS live text): We all know what happened next...
  18. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10538884.Cyclist_dies_in_crash/ Not long since that last bad accident on that road (motorcyclist killed I think a few months ago?). Clearly far too early to speculate about what may have happened, but more accidents seem to happen there than many other places...
  19. Funnily enough, that's what was said about Bale too... they didn't exactly stand out when in the Academy sides. They were clearly comfortable and competent, but defenders rarely stand out as much, IMO, because they're not headline-grabbing by scoring a hatful of goals, or setting up every other goal the team scores.
  20. They jumped the gun a bit more than that in fact: http://www.scotsman.com/the-scotsman/sport/football/victor-wanyama-will-leave-celtic-say-kenyan-fa-1-2762307 Nice to know we might be 'one of the big two clubs in the world', lol...

  22. As that article and some of the comments rightly highlight, that's not really a primary issue. Everyone has to learn on type at some point, and the pilot in command had plenty of hours on other large types (747's I believe), and, more crucially, was under the supervision of the Captain in the right hand seat, who frankly should've initiated the go-around much sooner, from what I can see. There has been comments in the past about Korean culture sometimes preventing First Officers from challenging or correcting their Captain because of the apparent lack of respect that it shows, but that has improved a lot since it was first highlighted. I'm not quite sure what Saint Martini means by 'this kind of approach'...?
  23. I'm just pleased we have 12... I thought it was only the bare 11!
  24. Finished 4-1 to Saints, all the (Saints) goals here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLM7o8Rfl9FTnwUg8m52wQzL-t1XJhhL_c
  25. I've got it online, with the text beneath, and the text not does come anywhere near close to doing it justice. Watch the highlights later, whoever wins.
