Wow. Just wow. Fair play to Del Potro.
-
This 4th set tie break alone is unbelievable.

Djokovic v Del Potro is possibly the best game of tennis i have ever seen.

MLG, you seem to be trying to reduce things down to black and white, when clearly our transfer activity is anything but. MP has confirmed we have looked at some players. Our budget may well be variable, and it could be that we were looking at a couple of £4m players to join Damiao, to match a £30m budget, or we might have lots more than that. Then there are the instalment and bonus packages to consider which aren't part of the initial fee, not to mention the fact that the budget may only be for those initial fees, or it may be a budget for all the fees and future payments. Bottom line is, we haven't got a feckin' clue, so trying to pick people up on tiny details of what is clearly quite a fairly general discussion where no one can actually confirm actual figures, is a bit pointless IMO.

Exactly... i know in this day and age of 24 hour speculation and discussion on innernet forumz, this is a silly thing for to say, but sometimes I think people should just switch their computer off, let the people with the money and plan do what they need to do, and then we can review it once they've actually signed a few players and we're approaching the season.

Anyone know of any good deals around at the mo, for relatively low-end PC's. It's for business use only, mostly Office use, perhaps a bit of Photoshop, so on board graphics and sound is fine, just sufficient memory to run a few things at once. Needs to have a serial port, or a PCI slot (I have a PCI serial card). Not fussed what version of Windows, so if it is still Win7, that's fine, and I don't mind Win8 either (will be used with touchscreen). I'm looking around the usual places, Dabs, ebuyer, but sometimes you guys find some good deals elsewhere. Ta.

Ta - I would agree with that.
-
Turks, this may be asking too much, but what do you seriously (sorry) think...? What would you be happy with?
-
As I suggested, you'd probably have to ask the media that question... I'm sure there will be many other just as deserving cases.
-
Bumping this to find out if you entered, and if it's the Saturday league? I see there's a new monthly Sunday morning Vets league being touted at the mo, which I am thinking of enquiring about... I can't do every Sunday, but I also can't do Saturdays... just not sure if there would be enough interest in it if it's only monthly fixtures?

Oh, and for me, it will remain mostly 4-2-3-1 this season.

I think the notion of 'wingers' needs to be let go... I doubt we're ever going to play with wingers in the traditional sense, while MP is here. There may be passages of play that lead to a player getting out wide and putting in a cross, but looking at the players we have, and those we're looking to bring in, I think it's more about intelligent movement of the football to create opportunities in and around the 18-yard box. Full backs will provide crossing opportunities, as will whichever of the attacking players might find themselves in that position, but the formation is more for defensive purposes... when attacking I think you'll see more and more interchanging and fluidity about our play.

It is perhaps the guilt about leaving her that has led them to their unending devotion to the cause... As much as I agree with you, I can't help but think that the public perception of their never-ending hunt (and lets face it, a lot of people do think 'Oh, them again' when they see them on telly) is more down to the fact the media picked up on it and ran with it so long, than the fact that they are doing any more than many other parents would in a similar situation.

Or even: It's just like watching Brazil - repeat ad nauseum.

What happened to you was obviously not right, but not a reason to cast judgement on an entire force, because of the actions of just a few officers 40 years ago. Just like in any organisation, public or private, there are good people and there bad people... we need to support the good ones and help them improve their organisation, and not allow the bad ones to increase their power or influence. We also need to not let the bad ones dominate our judgement and opinion, otherwise we will lose trust in everything and everyone, and where will that lead us?
-
We all do it though, to differing extents and with different things. We judge people on the way they dress, what they're called, what they drive, where they live, and so it has become part of our culture and our way of life. We've all done it, just some to a greater extent, or in more serious ways than others. We've also all undoubtedly been on the receiving end too. One our our less attractive traits.

Not often I say this adrian, and as much as I understand the reason why you say that, but I think you're way off there. Even England wouldn't be that stupid to ignore someone like Neymar. He is simply brilliant.
-
I don't think it's even worthy of debate. He would be a fantastic signing.

@alex_crook: Pochettino indicates Tadanari Lee is available for transfer #saintsfc

So I guess this needs bumping now that MP has confirmed we have been looking at him?
-
And so with pre-season underway for the team, it is also underway for the forum. Same old, same old.

Kinnear is still spouting ******** then... http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/exclusive-kinnear-i-m-head-and-shoulders-above-the-rest-1-5814868

It won't end. It's just about the money.
