  1. And Rodgers....... Asked why Lovren, Liverpool’s most expensive defensive signing, did not start on Saturday, Rodgers said: “The thing with Kolo is he gives me everything every single day so I know what I am going to get with him. What is he implying?
  2. Not a defector but.........Palace have 2 pts per game with Pardew, 0.85 without him. Newcastle 1.36 with him, 0.69 without.
  3. Who on MOTD said we played well? I thought the only analysis was on Barkley by Gullit.
  4. Bony was also a strange one for them. There is always a big club in 'crisis' . On a different day they could have hammered Palace. Also the team that most comprehensively outplayed us this season. Agree transfers have been woeful but still a very staring squad
  5. Didn't have to wait long
  6. Discipline again?
  7. Only atrocious if genuine. Saying your back hurts and being signed off etc. hate the demonising of those on benefits but that is not to say there are plenty who know how to fill in the forms to get their allowance.
  8. Think many past black managers haven't had the gravitas of an impressive manager, Not a colour thing, it is like Irvine and Ramsey,. Good coaches and no doubt nice people but the lead man is a tough job and you need presence.. Did anyone think Terry Connor would succeed at Wolves? I sure didnt but pretty sure (and hope)it wasn't because I saw him as black There is something in subliminal judgement though and as a white bloke I will be never fully qualified to appreciate the unfairness (perceived or otherwise) The likes of Sol Campbell does nothing to help the cause either.
  9. MIlliband came across pretty well here I thought. 15 min interview but light stuff as would expect on Absolute Radio
  10. Good. Only stupid cnts say that word
  11. Jeff for PM. He has solutions
  12. Of course zero hours contracts are sensible for both parties in some case. The prevalence and abuse by the likes of Mike Ashley is disgraceful and anyone who defends it must be a complete cnt. As Pap or someone said these same poor sods on zero hr contracts pay f all tax and get topped up in benefits from tax payers. Meanwhile that fat bastrd hoovers up what used to be good brands and sells tehm to chavs. Job creator eh boys and so should have his breaks
  13. Doesn't this happen in the same old news cycle albeit every 5 years. As predictable as the Daily Express having a cure for arthritis every 14 days. Or 5 steps to living longer which amounts to having an early night, going for a walk and eating some veg. although Telegraph seems to do little to disguise as little more than a Tory press release vehicle of late. Don't think many of its readership are undecided other than UKIP or Tory.

  15. Why? He has had an excellent season. If he was playing for Saints you'd all be clamouring for him to be picked.
  16. Does not the FSA have anything to say about an interest free installment plan with a £35 admin fee. Sounds like 5% interest. Sure everyone who takes up the plan is happy. Assume Wonga would not be allowed to advertise £1000 interest free loan with £45000 admin fee? Nothing to get worked up by and obviously simpler to administer a fixed fee.
  17. Performance metrics lol. Have you just got your first team leader role?
  18. Labour takes four-point lead in first major poll since TV battle between Miliband and Cameron http://t.co/SWsGyGOP52 http://t.co/YsSuMZJeCW
  19. Sounds like you know more about it than me TBH. However it is a question of greed. Of course companies have duty to shareholders but companies like Apple are so cash rich they don't know what to do with it all. Capitalism works I agree but only because those making loads put back in way of taxes to allow the Govt to meet its needs to create a fair pleasant society. For me the best way is to shame Starbucks and the like into paying their way. Bad PR will kill companies who pretty much trade on brand image and reputation. Although of course some see nothing wrong with Starbucks but thankfully in the minority.
  20. Sorry missed this. Says £32 m included. The balance of £50m (we only got £82 m for the 5 players) will be in next year's accounts. However we spent £63m which will also be included, so net spend of £13m so far
  21. It is until end of June 2014
  22. Aren't football finances not measured across fiscal year? Could be wrong but I thought they included some of the close season.
