Whilst I have reservations over Guly in the Premier League, he contributed greatly in L1 and the Championship, scoring vital goals and being involved in many a goal. He has a high pass completion rate, and against West Ham 93% of his passes were successful. We have had and still do have far worse players. Whether you rate him or not is irrelevant, whilst he is out there wearing the shirt of our team - he is one of us, support him to the greatest extent you can. Up the Saints!

Saints have just this morning, tweeted the following statement: "For clarification, the following statement was issued to the Southern Daily Echo in relation to the story they are running this morning. It has been the Club’s conscious policy for the last three years not to reply to questions or calls for statements from the Daily Echo and this will continue to be Club Policy." Anyone know what the Echo are on about? Saints don't normally come out on the defensive likes this? To do with Nigel? Suggested interference? Sale of club? Or just Saints re-stating their stance?

From BBC's Nabil Hassan: Simon Peach tweeted about an interview with Le Tissier earlier and was talking about Matt and Cortese. Bit of a shame if he's sold a story on him again.....it is all a bit pathetic. Every time he does a talk or interview or the like he doesn't seem to be able to not put one into Cortese. Ho hum.
