Would he definitely be landing at Gatwick? He comes from the North West after all. I don't know a lot about who goes what and where from/to when it comes to airports. Just wondered.

I have noticed that a Saints fan asked Alan Nixon when the international transfer window opens and about us transfer-wise etc and he said: "It barely matters as u can't play until friendlies in July anyway. Some deals set up already." -
Daily Mail's Championship Review 2011/12
Saint-Armstrong replied to Saint Without a Halo's topic in The Saints
Interesting, one of the guys tipped Rodriguez to make an impact at a higher in the near future also: "Rodriguez has all the attributes to be a successful striker in the Premier League: height, pace, and finishing ability. He is still only 22 and scored 21 goals this season. It would have been more had he not picked up a groin injury. No wonder he was voted into the team of the season, despite his side finishing in 13th spot." -
He is indeed. Akinbiyi spoke to the Scottish Daily Record last month about Jay when Celtic were rumoured to be sniffing about: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/spl/2012/04/30/celtic-face-stiff-competition-for-burnley-striker-jay-rodriguez-with-premiership-clubs-joining-chase-86908-23842478/

Says it is to do with a manager being lined up for a job with "no vacancy". When asked if that club was Southampton, he said "no, somewhere else".
-
Scrap that, Nixon has replied to me asking whether it was to do with Nigel and him having been moved on and SFC potentially using JR as a sweetner to the fans. He replies "No, no." - Thank God.
-
Interesting, as Nixon said he had some big Saints news to mention "if some people had ********". Surely not....? J-Rod to sweeten the fans? Won't work and should not happen!

Look up. -
That will be interesting indeed, no wonder there are concerns whether he will be allowed to play by Celtic. However, how is the evil, monstrous chairman that is Nicola Cortese allowing 2 contracted employees to play in this match? FFS where is the professionalism!?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18240998 Sharp to feature also.

Reckon there's anything in this or he'll just pen a new deal and that'll be that?

Saints stadium expansion plans announced!!!!!
Saint-Armstrong replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
Haha I knew when it was Turkish it would be a tease. It did make me laugh. -
From what Wolves are saying we'd be lucky to get Jarvis for £5m. And what about these Hooper and Rodriguez bids? What a nonsensical article. Mind you, it is from Goal.com
-
I still can't see any talk of this, or a link or mention anywhere else.

That name came up last summer too. As did Haris Seferovic. (both put down to Cortese links) -

Yep, I would definitely rather have Richardson/Butterfield instead of a Portuguese International right-back. -

Really? Is that why Hargreaves went to City instead of West Brom? They're both crocks after a pay-day. No thank you to both. EDIT: Rembered Hargreaves was on pay as you play. But still, why not go to WBA? -

That's not true as you can see clearly here, Nicola and Nigel look at eachother and Nicola certainly has a huge smile: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=XpLCoVpyrf0

I remember reading somewhere that NC had an eye for an investment in sport and Di Matteo was the one who alerted Cortese to our situation back in 2009.
