Some recent Dutch tweets about him: (translated) "Alexander "My family also want to reap a few tons" Buttner is also present. Laughable." "Van Leeuwen: 'Transfer Büttner was around, but glanced off by Alexander himself' http://goo.gl/fb/P4Wga http://bit.ly/voetbalT" "Van Leeuwen also clear story about # Buttner. He wants to leave, Van Aanholt is attracted and they try to prevent unrest in 1st team #vitlok" "Haha Buttner sitting there on the stand with a friend of my brother. "He's got to have his sentence" #commentator haha" We may look back on missing out on this one fondly.

http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2858210,00.html "As the start of the 2012/13 Premier League season fast approaches, Saints would like to make the following announcement regarding the purchasing and distribution of match tickets. The Club is putting in place a points based loyalty scheme to ensure that tickets for the higher demand games, both home and away, are distributed in a fair and equitable manner. Away matches will be categorised on a like for like basis to our home fixtures. Category A games earn 10 points, Category B games 15 points and Category C games 20 points. The points earned for attending Cup matches will be announced when ticketing arrangements for these games are finalised with the respective clubs. Season Ticket Holders will automatically earn points according to the advertised match categories for home games as soon as tickets for the match go on sale. A Season Ticket Holder will therefore automatically earn 295 points across the season (50 for 5 x Cat A, 105 for 7 x Cat B and 140 for 7 x Cat C ) During the season, the Club will announce the priority booking arrangements for Season Ticket Holders and supporters who hold a specific number of points for matches where demand for tickets will exceed the number on sale. The way in which tickets are normally purchased is unaffected by this scheme and please make sure that when buying tickets for all games, either home and away, you do so under your individual Client ID number. Details of how to check your points balance will be announced shortly. As highlighted in our original Season Ticket announcement, there will be a priority sales period for Season Ticket Holders, and anyone attending the opening match of the season will receive 10 Loyalty Points in their account. Full ticket details for the opening Premier League Fixtures versus Manchester City (away), Wigan (home), Manchester Utd (home) and Arsenal (away) will be announced shortly. Please check http://www.saintsfc.co.uk for full details."

This morning Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf published an interview with Alexander Büttner about all the transfer woes that surrounds him. In the article Büttner said the following about his almost done deal with The Saints: "We were so close, and i would have loved to join them but the clubs didn't come to an agreement. So now i am moving on, right now Hanover 96 and Fulham are showing real interest in me and there are two more clubs from France. The Southampton story lies behind my now, my future is somewhere else."

I have a feeling we will finish 14th.

No he probably wouldn't. It's an adaptable formation so your 2 supporting strikers, in this instance Jay R and Lee will push back to form a five-man midfield with Lambert leading the line. -

Rangers' fans take on it: http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=232322 Couple of quotes: "Well done Green and Southampton for agreeing a fee, but Davis is still a traitor for jumping ship to see us get nothing. " "Ps who the **** are Southampton...??..A team with the global reach of the English Channel" "I'm happy about this, Southampton seem like a proper club to me, they do a lot of business the right way concerning transfers." "I think its credit to Southanpton here for morally doing the right thing, even tho 800k is still theft for Davis." "As for the Davis deciding to go to a '****e' club (personally have a hell of a lot of time for Southampton) purely to get rangers a 'wedge' - that's utterly unsubstantiated fantasy." "Oh dear Steven, if you had done this the right way you would have found that the club wasn't very hard to deal with. Even though your new club have finally found common sense, you will always remain a traitor, who shafted the club that rescued you from Fulham reserves."

You don't have to register Clyne or Gazzaniga as they are 21 or under at the date of final submission of a team's 25 man squad.
-
Buy one when they go on sale? They're not even on sale yet!!!
-
His middle name is Dino. Paulo Dino Gazzaniga - great name.
-
Oooh. Sharp - 3 Rodriguez - 1 Lambert - 0 Guly - 0 Lee - 0 (but injured) Barnard - 0 Forte - 0

Yeah I ordered the same size as I did last season and they're the same. Happy to help.

Jesus Christ - cross-analysing a just-turned 17 year old's interview? He signed a deal here and had already been the target of interest beforehand. He's one of ours. As you were.
