  1. Yeah and an U11 could turn up on the day of the game, hand over £2 and they're in the Chapel! Anywhere else in the ground only £7 for them. £12 for a U17 in the Chapel. I think that is a great, 'fan-friendly' policy!
  2. Winner of Fans' Player of the Year bags this...
  3. I remember reading that a Saints fan on Twitter was his cousin. He told me about 2 years ago. Matt has a fair few family members down this way and his girlfriend is local too I think.
  4. Agree, no one said such things! I do remember some "why are we signing him?" when we announced Tadanari Lee's arrival on a free though...
  5. http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=pt&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fesporte.ig.com.br%2Ffutebol%2F2012-04-30%2Fbrasileiro-que-subiu-o-southampton-elogia-ingleses-e-sonha-com-a.html Translated and perhaps hard to understand in places, but it is worth a read.
  6. His career (in England at least - and with Switzerland and Finland), has all been about overachieving with limited resources. He goes in, stabilises, organises and overachieves. We're not anywhere near the best so this is what is needed. Go Roy.
  7. Check out The Sun's Front Page tomorrow (nothing like supporting whoever gets the call): Hilarious. Yet again The Sun at the forefront of classy humour and wit. For what it's worth I hope Roy does well just to **** them all off. Boring from The Sun and not really necessary. Then they say "affectionately known as Woy due to his speech impedement" as if to justify it and make it look harmless. Whether it is or not, it's just boring, lame, and unprofessional. Gutter rag.
  8. The last ten minutes at Millwall.
  9. I expect so too. Won't upset me if not. He's working for next season after a short break! That's what is most important. He'll release a piece on the site soon. Then he will probably do a video, perhaps for the ML Trophy like last year, and then notes in first programme of the year.
  10. Whooooooosshhhh! - What was that? sfc1971's credibility going out of the window, that's what. Close this mods, just like at the guys past...
  11. Nicola's son isn't it? Sure I saw him last year in some pictures of Nicola with the trophy...
  12. It wasn't as much of an embrace as last year, but there we go. It's another step in our plan and another brick in the wall so to speak. It did seem a bit odd but I have seen heard 5 or 6 Adkins interviews from today and this is the only one like this. I think they just caught him in the heat of the moment at a rare time when he is emotional. I think it is more a case of Nigel making the point of we are far less likely to be winning the vast majority of our games next season, and that whilst we have experienced great success, it is important to remember where we have come from - and not get above our post. If that eventually plays out, we have to take the "We'll cross that bridge if/when we come to it."
  13. Picture of said "cold handshake" - not sure I see it:
  14. Great Chairman, loved seeing this too:
  15. That was HILARIOUSLY crap. The halo thing made me laugh, not because it was good humour, but because it just shows what an absolute joke of a report that was. Anyway, thanks for the link.
  16. I've been in Northam, Kingsland North, Kingsland central. I like both Northam and Kingsland North. I've been in Blocks 38-43, but tomorrow I am in 37. I liked 38, less knobs screaming abuse at the team for starters. That said, I like the Northam because I like to stand and sing songs. I do find it quite embarrassing when you get lots of people doing certain gestures at the other fans all game rather than watching.
  17. Just checked it. All worked fine. Easy as pie.
  18. You said 2-1 to Coventry a few minutes ago on another thread!
  19. Guly.... I'd love to see Jos do it though.
  20. I am actually getting nervous before a game not even involving my team... what is this?!
  21. If Nigel Pearson's team get a result, they will be getting a result for themselves, not Southampton Football Club. If the result suits us, great, if not, we know the task.
  22. Palace and Posh were big games too, we won. You can't pick and choose stats when there are others which clearly show this to be otherwise. Brighton last year? Let me pick your glass jaw up for you, you poor little attention seeker.
  23. I am glad I haven't travelled away and seen Saints lose 6-0 though. That is embarrassing.
  24. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2742689,00.html We are delighted to confirm that due to incredible demand, extra tickets will be available to Saints fans for the final game of the season. Visitors Coventry City failed to take the full allocation in time for their trip to St Mary's next Saturday, so we have secured approximately 500 additional tickets that will be available to home supporters. This additional allocation of tickets for Saints supporters will be available to database customers only from 8am on Tuesday 24th April 2012 Online at saintsfc.co.uk and the Telephone Booking line (0800 2800 050) ONLY. Due to the limited number of tickets available there will be no tickets for sale from the Saints ticket office or WestQuay. Please note that all other areas including hospitality are sold out for this fixture, which is a 12.30pm kick-off.
  25. Ahh right, thanks.
