Amusing that not one of you has included Gashy. Except me, ironically. Speaks volumes.

Reckon we could get 10 points. The only definite defeat I see is Everton.

Not a chance. He's done here. Will never play in a Saints shirt again. Sod pragmatism, he broke the nose of one of a small group of talismanic players who got us from L1 to top ten in the PL.

Ooo, tricky... Lallana Lovren Boruc Schneiderlin Cork Lambert Rodriguez Davis Shaw Clyne / Chambers Fonte . . . . . . . . . . Gashy Osvaldo
-
Easy to be smug in hindsight. Anyway, it wasnt against the player (which you know damn well, but its easy to take a comment out of context to make a lazy convenient dig), it was because Adkins didnt seem to know how to use him. I am willing to admit when I am wrong. I have been wrong about Lallana, Schneiderlin and J-Rod. Any comment about your top-6 / Champions League predictions ???

Mayuka went out on loan because we bought Osvaldo

Jeez, and with two little kids. There was a piccie of her in the papers at the end of last week, and she didnt look right to me.
-
Bit unfair on Wanyama and Mayuka, perhaps. But the rest I agree wholeheartedly. Complete waste of Markus's legacy.

Well, no-one saw that coming, did they ? We're stuck with the tw*t.

Hope he pushes himself into contention for the Euro 2016. He deserves another chance. -

Also gutted for him. Get well soon, Jay, we need you. Osvaldo is a c**t. -
Been toying with Istanbul for a while, this all sounds encouraging. Missus still not convinced.

Pathetic cynical worn-out cliche. There was no oil in Bosnia or Kosovo.

Isnt that what I said ? Doesnt stop me being worried though. The right decisions need to be made over the summer. They will have a lasting impact.
-
Its what I genuinely believe is possible - if the right set events happen in the right sequence over the summer.
-
Really ? I thought the main point I was making is that we simply dont know, and it could all go tits-up. To assume we are just going to crack-on from a base established this season is pure speculation. There is too much going on.

5th or 6th, with a decent cup run (if Mopo gets it by then) If we re-invest the Osvaldo and Gashy money WISELY, maybe 4th is possible.

A lot of "ifs" there Roger. Rather a best-case scenario. I could post a list of equally valid "ifs" with the opposite perspective, equally valid, and with not necessarily lesser probabilites, and get roundly abused for my troubles.
-
Well, its only Wade. Roger is entitled to his opinion. If the average poster on here cannot see we are at a crossroads, we simply cant help them.
-
Yeah, this. My thoughts exactly.

And I dont think I am being negative. I think we may be building largely from scratch again over the summer. And I dont feel this board line-up are of a phillanthropic nature like ML (RIP) and NC were originally. We have a sprinkling or arguably the best young talent in Europe, but I cant see many of them staying. We dont really know what the board will do with the windfall that their sales may generate. And for me our manager is too inconsistent, and seem very non-commital about the long term. Are you all really not worried after the struggle we had 5-10 years ago ?
-
Another million or 2000 STs out of the door for absolutely f**k-all return then. Really, this little tw*t has been shown more patience than any other player in our history.

One of our toughest 3 games of the season. Did OK in the first half after the perennial brain fart from Fonte Overall result not worse than expected/feared especially considering losing our GK before the game and having the known issue of no decent back-up Newcastle couldnt capitalise and in fact went backwards in terms of GD. 8th place still a real chance. Stoke couldnt capitalise. Therefore I am fairly laid-back at the result. Only downers were J-Rods injury (obviously). Hopefully after the swelling goes down we will learn its not as bad as feared. And the fact that 7th is no longer a consideration, imo.
