  1. Apart from all the different formations he's tried.
  2. I'm starting to think that may not actually be our entire strategy.

    Russia

I would imagine that with Russia’s military being largely tied up elsewhere the rebels are trying their luck against Assad’s forces. Neither side seems like a particularly pleasant group of people, if we’re being honest.
  4. As poor as we've been for large parts of this season, we've put in nothing so bad as this West Ham performance. Edit: No sooner have I posted it than they score twice.
  5. They basically check everything if there's a goal. Archer was marginal, Armstrong clearly off. Why it took so long I've no idea, I took one look at it and knew the latter was clearly offside and interfering. You didn't need lines for that.
  6. I wonder if that might have been a tactical booking from Dibling at the end there, in order to be suspended for a game we'd have rested him for anyway. Probably not but stranger things have happened. I'm guessing Wood may be called upon for this one, which is going to be fun against Chelsea, behind a makeshift midfield and in front of our fourth choice keeper.
  7. And people were aggrieved by it, which is my point. Both should have been disallowed.
  8. Obviously that’s not the case, if Armstrong had been offside by the corner flag or even just a couple of yards the other side of Archer, the goal would have stood. I reiterate; if that goal is given against us, every man and dog on this forum is screaming, "how the f**k is he NOT interfering!"
  9. Their keeper positioning himself to save a potential shot from Armstrong impacted his ability to save a shot at the far post.
  10. I thought they checked Archer first because he was the scorer, then worked backward in time from that. Either way, that’s beside the point. Assuming you’re correct, all that means is that without VAR the goal still gets disallowed but for the wrong player being offside. How does that improve the situation?
  11. How do you know that?
  12. Decent performance overall, much better in the second half and the subs looked pretty good. Individual errors costing us another win though, Archer missing a sitter, Suga going to sleep for the first, Armstrong needlessly being offside for the disallowed goal. All things you don’t get away with at this level. Still, a decent away point. I’ll take that.
  13. Our suspended players can have a cracking round of golf next weekend.
  14. Okay, if you want the exact audio description it went between his trailing leg and his arse as he swung his boot at it. However you want to describe it, he was right in front of the goal and he tried to play the ball. He's interfering, he's offside, the goal was disallowed. The tater said the onfield decision was offside.
  15. How can the cross going through the legs of a player five yards from goal NOT be interfering? The keeper has to position himself to cover the threat of Armstrong, thereby leaving the ar post exposed. If that goal gets given against Saints I guarantee this entire forum would be fuming.
  16. With the keeper and defender's decision making. We might not like it but that was the right call. Armstrong went too far, too early.
  17. Surely Armstrong is interfering there.
  18. FFS, offside.
  19. In the same way as sharting yourself at a funeral ‘changes things’, but yes.
  20. Probably the same thing he did in training when he was scoring 4 in 30-something for Sheff Utd. You can’t just buy anyone and train them to be good, like in football manager. Downes not quite aggressive enough with that push, he could have been sent off by h.t. And beaten the traffic back down the A27.
  21. And that’s what happens when you shop at Poundland in the Premier League. Archer just as guilty of costing us a goal as Suga, Downes and co have been in recent weeks. You can’t win games doing that at this level.
  22. TBF the keeper was out of position, I think Downes was trying to catch him off his line.
  23. Downes and KWP must really, really like the showers at the Amex.
  24. KWP really going to town with the shirt pulling, another senseless booking.
  25. Sugawara is the most brainless, gormless, clueless defender we’ve had since Olivier Bernard.
