    What on Earth...
  2. Shan Masood, it would seem.
  3. I have, you just don’t like the fact that I’ve dismissed most of them. If you keep putting forward examples which clearly don’t fulfil the criteria of being terminally ill, I’ll continue to disregard them.
  4. No I do, it’s just that the vast majority of the cases put forward, including the documentary with a bunch of irrelevant people trying to be the victim of the bill, don’t fulfil the criteria of being independently diagnosed as terminally ill. Im not saying there’ll never be a case of somebody who could have lived longer using this proposal to end their own life but those numbers will be massively outweighed and outnumbered by the people dying in pain this bill will help.
  5. A small number of people who are terminally ill and suicidal may use this scheme to kill themselves a few months earlier than they would have passed away organically, rather than throwing themselves off a bridge. That doesn't even come close to outweighing the thousands of people who will be spared an agonising, debilitating death if it passes. You can't simply dismiss anyone who supports this as having, "not thought through the consequences."
  6. What are the consequences of not approving this bill?

It’s not semantics, a stalemate is fundamentally not an agreed settlement. The battlefront can grind to an indefinite halt without a word being spoken or agreed between either side.
  8. I have to say, I did find it very reassuring to learn that Diane Abbott was opposed to my viewpoint. I can never be certain my opinions are correct but that's about the best litmus test there is.
  9. Amazing how people are twisting literally every scenario against Russ. If there are strong winds forecast then keeping it tidy, on the deck and short is likely to be a big advantage to going big and aerial. I'm not saying we have an advantage over Liverpool but I'd have thought our style would be less affected than some teams.

There’s absolutely no appetite for that from either side.

A stalemate is a military impasse, by definition it is not negotiated. If it were to occur, what would be the benefit of ceding any land?

And WW1, WW2, the Falklands, the battle with ISIS and many, many others which ended in stalemate or military defeat.

Russia is sourcing personnel from North Korea and weapons from Iran, which would certainly suggest shortages to some extent, plus they clearly haven’t had the spare capacity to force Ukraine out of Kursk. As for negotiations and ceding land, nothing has happened yet so we’ll have to see. Nobody has put forward any kind of proposed settlement that both sides might agree to so far.
  14. There’s so much wrong with this. I don’t want to paper over the cracks, I want a consistent improvement in results, starting as soon as possible. A win against Liverpool isn’t going to buy him ‘a few months’. The board is nowhere near that short sighted and reactionary and nor should they be. When did I say I wanted to lose the next five games? Where has that criteria sprung out from? Would you honestly prefer another 9-0, to get laughed at by other fans again, to have the confidence of the squad destroyed and for what? So that we can make a knee jerk sacking in the hope that David Moyes will ride in on a white horse and save the day. I’ll just say I disagree and leave it there.
  15. I’m going to be controversial here and say that the best possible result is for Southampton to win, because I support Southampton.
  16. If Gareth Southgate made your packed lunch, he’d put a Penguin in there. My top five: Twirl McVities Gold Milky Way Club Twix
  17. None of that makes any sense. Bazunu got injured in the warm up against Preston, which was something of a walkover. That was followed by three defeats, following which he brought in an extra defender and we found some form again. He adapted his tactics to suit the change in circumstances and it worked. I’ve no idea what you’re going on about with ‘dogma’ and the first 45 games should have been better because of something.
  18. What on Earth are you talking about?
  19. He doesn't though, it's people on this forum who are always trotting out possession stats, not him.
  20. What, like the 28 we got last season? If he went to Rangers, it'd basically be like last season but if Ipswich and Leeds didn't exist.
  21. I would argue that Suga right and KWP left is probably the best way to utilise our FBs collectively. That involves KWP being in not his strongest possition but overall better than having him at RB with Taylor or Manning on the other side. It's much the same with BBD and Paul. If you want to play both of them in their strongest position you're going to have to drop Archer, who looks like a better striker than either of them, and make a sacrifice elsewhere on the pitch. We've got about 32/33 players on the books who you could class as first team options, clearly two thirds of them aren't going to be 'utilised to their full (albeit very low) potential' whoever we pick.
  22. He did absolutely nothing under Ralph, Jones or Selles. He's not a PL player in any set up.
  23. KWP - Not at his absolute best for us but still decent and has been somewhat restricted by having to play LB at times. Suga does an excellent job of getting forward down the right and supporting attacks so I don't think it's a tactical problem as such. Tall Paul - Only ever scored goals in leagues where De Ridder, Tosun and Elyounoussi were good. 30 years old and has never scored in any top European league. BBD - Is a Championship stiker, nothing more. 6 goals last season isn't enough to say we should be dropping Archer for him and he just looks like a donkey on the ball. Fraser - Just isn't fit. Has a long career history of going missing. ABK - Clearly some sort of personal issue with him, doesn't seem to want to be here at all. Not looked committed since Ralph left. Les - Chelsea youth player. He may be highly rated at that level but so was Jacob Melis. Alcaraz - Didn't look up to scratch in the Championship, or at Juve and nobody in Europe wanted to buy him 'on the cheap' either. Sold him for the money we used to buy Ramsdale, so no complaints here.
  24. I don't particularly think so either, I was just responding to Hypo's hypothetical.
