I seem to remember a few Wolves and cricket fans complaining about the quality of their kit too. Amazing how difficult it apparently is to make a polyester T-shirt which doesn’t fall apart in the wash and deliver it on time.

Wait, so this story might not be true? I ate all those squirrels for no reason? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11846915/Russian-state-TV-claims-Britain-starving-forced-eat-squirrels.html

Che Adams taught him that.

Some cracking finishes TBF.

Our unbeaten run gets a lot of coverage but our scoring run is in fact one game longer. We haven't drawn a blank since Ipswich on September 19th and the only other game we failed to score in was Sunderland.

Are you talking about the game or the food?

Eh? JWP I agree was on the cheap side, although it was largely paid up front, but £40m for a player who had 2/3 of a decent season before a very serious injury was excellent business. I thought it was common knowledge that Chelsea had a decent sell on chunk, £10m or so (25%) is probably not far off. In short, I don’t think there’s anything particularly surprising here.

Seems perfectly reasonable to me, it’s not as if any Christians have ever committed any sex offences.

According to wiki he has 58 career appearances in the Premier League. It's a nice idea but I'd be almost certain that's a no on both counts.

Isn’t there some sort of Italian link to the dialect in Argentina anyway?
-
I wonder if this is just one of those quirky regional laws, whereby loans to Italian clubs must have some form of agreed fee in order to be legal. Rather like how all contracts in Spain must have a minimum release fee, no matter how ludicrously large it is. I'm just guessing because otherwise I agree, it's a rather odd, bordering on pointless, clause.

Good luck to the lad. As talented as he undoubtedly is, I think Rothwell will be a more consistent and ultimately useful player if we’re trying to get promoted.

Eddie Jack playing against Aus U19 on Sky this morning. Been a bit hit and miss so far, 0-36 from 5 and quite a few wides.

What on Earth are you talking about?

I think he is sincere, just incredibly naive and easily lead, as he proved with Pinnacle. As for being clearly our best player, we'll have to agree to disagree. Obviously he is more popular here than Van Dijk but a year after leaving us, the latter was second in the Ball D'or, sandwiched between the two greatest players who've ever lived. Tiss will be remembered along with Zola, Cantona and Gazza as someone we loved watching in the nineties but no serious fan outside Southampton is going to be talking about him alongside Zidane, Figo and Nedved as one of the all time greats.

I’m pretty sure Rothwell was the Alcaraz replacement and that this deal has been on the cards a lot longer than it’s been in the media. On the one hand I wouldn’t get your hopes up for another incoming, on the other I wouldn’t worry too much about anyone else leaving. The squad looks reasonably well balanced with only a late departure for Che or Mara really on the cards.

Surely Juventus will be paying a higher loan fee than we're paying for Brooks, so it's probably a sensible decision all round. After starting off with a goal of decent goals a year ago, I really don't think he's been that good for us. In a couple of years he'll just be another, "Oh god, yeah he did play for us a bit didn't he," like Minamino or Elia.

I’ve not been watching as long as you but Virgil is quite comfortably the best player I’ve seen play for Saints, even including Tiss. He was the one player we’ve had since the mid eighties who was genuinely, unquestionably world class and could play for any club in the world. When he eventually did leave it was for a world record fee and he instantly turned Liverpool into basically the worlds best team for a couple of years. Tiss was phenomenal for us but he wasn’t quite THAT good.
-
Any other year when we’re not in a precarious position with regards to next season’s league. Like all the other years before last, when we had three cup semis and a final. Leicester were a top six club when they won it and Wigan was a one off fluke.
-
Remember him however you like. I’m not sure how many children in hospital a 20 yard half volley against Crystal Palace equates to but you’re free to decide however you like.
-
If it all goes our way, we could make the top two on genuine merit for the first time this season, rather than by a simple quirk of having played our fixture first. Here’s hoping we can turn in a few away goals and make it comfortable.
-
Well, that’s what happens when you try to rebrand yourself as some great, free-thinking liberator of the sheeple, standing up to big pharma and big government with conspiracy theorist drivel you find on X. He hasn’t scored a goal for us in a quarter of a century and thanks entirely to his own efforts, he is now more famous as a man who puts children’s health at risk by telling their thick, ignorant parents not to vaccinate them. As such, most threads about MLT will tend to drift this way.

Sounds a bit like Robertson, I don’t remember him being in any way Australian though.

Considering we were 163-5 in our second innings and still 27 runs short of even making them bat again, that’s a phenomenal performance. Brilliant from Pope and Hartley.
