  1. I guess I’d have to put myself in that category as I have also walked through reception at a Travelodge, looking at my phone, several hours before work.
  2. I’d have a slice of Brie over AMN.
  3. It says a lot that people are saying, ‘fair enough, that’s our best team’ and six of them are dreadful.
  4. Swap keepers this season and they’d be on single figures.
  5. We aren’t rivals, Brighton is about a 1.5 hour drive from here.
  6. Because they won’t come straight back up, no bother. They’re in this mess partly because their owner stopped chucking money at them. If they go down they’ll be in a right state and have to sell anything not nailed down. We must be watching a different Everton. I saw them against Newcastle and they downed tools with 20 minutes to go. Could easily have been a 1- 6 or 7 in their own back yard. Isak danced through their defence, who put in half hearted, token challenges. Even when Everton nicked one back, Newcastle went straight back up the other end and scored again. They looked hopeless.
  7. Yep, right here, they’re still absolutely dreadful. They’ve won one game in 11, I’m pretty sure Jones, Selles, Ralph, Lampard or Wigley could have managed that with their squad. I think you’re misunderstanding. We all want Everton to go down, not Saints to stay up.
  8. *sigh* ….. the jammy buggers are going to stay up aren’t they.
  9. If you must carry on with this peculiar, quasi-BDSM relationship with each other, do it in a separate thread. Let’s keep this one focussed on what this weekend is really about; politicians with impressive mammary glands.
  10. Normally the is a discussion about who we want to play next season but this season there’re two aspects. Who we want to play and who we’d like to see promoted. Luton and Boro are already confirmed in the playoffs, to be joined by two from Coventry, Millwall, Sunderland, WBA or Blackburn. I think if I was to put it in order of preference: Coventry, their fans have suffered long at the hands of SISU, they deserve some happiness. Luton, who would have thought Jones was actually holding them back. Millwall, two seasons in the top division in their history, would be different. Blackburn, not been up for a while Sunderland, their fans have had a rough time recently. Boro, Carrick has done a cracking job but a bit boring seeing them up again. WBA, the definition of a yo-yo club.
  11. Yes we would, they're crap and badly managed. Commitment isn't the problem this season.
  12. On the basis that I want Forrest to win to help send Everton down: Larios A. Armstrong - Diallo - Edozie - Aribo - Onuachu Walcott - Orsic Bednarek - Moi - Lyanco
  13. Yes, the two have to marry.
  14. Just had a quick Google and found this. Probably ranks higher than Camilla on my list of dubious Royal and political fitties. https://www.omanobserver.om/article/22390/World/thailands-ousted-royal-consort-had-swift-rise-and-fall
  15. TBH the remake would be fine as a bog standard, F&F style, Hollywood action/driving movie if only they hadn’t called it ‘The Italian Job’. It’s got a solid cast and some decent action scenes.
  16. Someone, somewhere has decided we’re going with the Christmas TV schedule this weekend. Mrs Doubtfire, Escape to Victory, The Dam busters, Pride and Prejudice, The Italian Job, Con Air, Jungle Book, Wallace and Gromit, From Russia with Love and Shawshank Redemption.
  17. As monumentally impressive as it is to actually be bothered to put that endless stream of sewage into some sort of order, I’ll have to disagree with the Arsenal games. The home game was a hard fought draw against a team who’d literally won every league game except Liverpool at that point, they were on fire. The recent trip to the Emirates by contrast was against a team badly lacking confidence who’d basically bottled it. They handed us two very soft goals and we still transpired to chuck a 3-1 lead in the 88th minute and looked almost certain to lose it thereafter.
  18. I guess the collective world leaders have just decided they’re a bit bored with total global obedience and given up, just like that. I reckon it’ll be pogs back in fashion next.

    Russia

I don’t see why the counter offensive would be at Bakhmut, it’s of little strategic value and seems to have become a symbol of obstinance from both sides more than anything. I’m guessing they’ll try and cut under the Russian lines in Kherson oblast and try to cut the forces to the north off from resupply from Crimea. Or possibly punch down towards Melitopol and cut them off from the East.
  20. Burnley fans went one better and got a joke about Maxwell Cornet being on loan into the national press.
  21. Reminds me of the evening after our JPT win.
  22. This trope keeps popping up despite the elephant in the room that not one of our attacking players, young or old, has looked anything approaching competent since Walcott rejoined us. For all his supposed guidance and good example to our youngsters; Obafemi, N’Lundulu and Tella have looked useless for us and ended up getting farmed out to lower league clubs. In fact the latter of the three seems to relish playing and training with Ashley Barnes and Jay Rodriguez far more than he ever did with Walcott.
  23. I’d say she was pretty hot personally.
  24. I'd disagree and say that most of the players who've appeared in our back five this season should be good enough for a Championship promotion fight. Baz, Tino, Bednarek, DCC and Perraud should be more than capable at that level, with Lyanco a useful option too. It's further forward we need the clean out; Walcott, Moi, Orsic, Diallo, Djenepo and both Armstrongs can leave, on top of the predicted loss of JWP and Lavia.
