  1. Ooooh, the spin just took it away there.
  2. That’s certainly the game I’m watching. Final ball not there yet but playing our game well.
  3. Worth a go. It was never a pen but if the ref had given it I doubt the var ref would have the bottle to overturn him.
  4. Djenepo had space to do a lot better there.
  5. Asleep following that in, well done Mecca.
  6. Come on boys!
  7. If a vaccine kills 10,000 people in Britain, it’s still a hell of a lot safer than actually catching the virus.
  8. Qantas become the first airline to confirm you wont be able to travel with them, on international flights at least, without proof of vaccine.
  9. Richard Osman. Seems to be on every show on TV despite not actually being entertaining or funny, just ‘quite knowledgeable’.
  10. You’d need 2 seats anyway after all those ribs.
  11. When I first read this bit, I thought you were going to mention a bloke I see semi-regularly, wearing the same pink hot pants, a tank top, beret and terrible body odour.
  12. It's hardly a new problem. I remember a game in the United/Mourinho era where injuries forced him into playing four or five reserve players, who would all have been our record signing. It's tough being a big club.
  13. Where are we all on cancelling Xmas then? I’m all for it, let’s have a proper Aussie Xmas in June with some nice weather and test cricket, after everyone has had their jabs.
  14. That isn’t consistency, they are different circumstances. A footballer breaking his ankle or a roofer falling off a ladder could be argued as being self inflicted in much the same way as an obese smoker. Refusing a vaccine is different in the fact that you’ve actively refused treatment, leading to much more expensive treatment being needed. Anyway, I don’t think they should be denied treatment either, so there’s no point in us arguing.
  15. The vaccine IS the NHS treatment. Refusing one treatment and then demanding another is different to simply being at risk because of an unhealthy lifestyle. It’s a moot point anyway as it’s neither legal nor ethical for the NHS not to treat anybody.
  16. The bizarre mantra of the conspiracy theorist, projecting your own gullibility onto the general population. YOU are the one being spoon fed nonsense, WE are the ones thinking critically. If a politician says something dubious, we all have our doubts. We are sceptical of the effects of the vaccine and even something as simple as wearing a mask drew endless critical discussion. However, if an online blog written by a complete stranger says Bill Gates wants to inject the world’s population with microchip vaccines and control us remotely using 5G towers, you swallow the whole lot. It would be humourous if this bullsh*t wasn’t convincing thousands of idiots not to vaccinate their children. The more this gets plastered around the internet, the more people believe it and the more people have to die as a consequence.
  17. Abysmal marking and closing down from the Blades there. Looked nothing like the hard working, well drilled team of last season.
  18. It’s not relevant, no way this Fulham team are staying up.
  19. He’ll play for England one day, he’s only 24.
  20. Fine by me. Whilst I can certainly see people’s objections to it being compulsory by law, if it’s conditional for wanting to travel and gather publicly, that’s entirely the choice of the individual.
  21. I think if we made it compulsory to be vaccinated in order travel and go to work, most people would probably sell out their anti-vax principles. If it's proven to be safe beyond reasonable doubt, it should be compulsory. What the legal mechanisms for that are I haven't a Scooby.
  22. Assuming it passes the necessary trials, the only thing putting me off is a phobia of needles. If I get a letter from my GP, I’ll probably just man up and deal with it.
  23. Fair enough, I’d just assumed they’d get it eventually.
  24. Hence they’re last, I’d imagine they’ll get it at some point in summer.
  25. My personal priority would be: Key workers and those at risk and under 75 Over 75s Over 60s All other adults Children I can see the argument for BAME but I'm not sure on the morality of it and it'll never happen anyway. It'd cause an absolute stink with the voters; only takes a couple of elderly veterans to pop their clogs whilst 'the foreigners' get the jabs and the Mail/Express brigade will be fuming. I certainly wouldn't prioritise the overweight either. Why should I be a lower priority than someone because they could never be bothered to follow a basic diet and exercise plan? As far as I'm concerned, if you've never cared about heart disease, liver disease, bowel cancer, hypertension, stroke, diabetes or osteoarthritis, don't suddenly pretend you care about Covid.
