Whatever the circumstances of this non-story, this bloke has clearly managed to get hold of a ticket to Pompey away, which is like rocking horse sh*t for us. A man who has managed to either do 6 away games or paid through the nose for a second hand ticket is clearly not a plastic. I think we should save such insults for the prawn sandwich eating, half and half scarf tourists at the Emirates.

They’re both away games and we won, isn’t that enough? We’re 13th and 5/6 teams we’ve played are in the top half. The worst team we’ve played at home is Man Utd. I honestly don’t think we will be anywhere near the three promoted teams or Watford come next May.

That's a bleak outlook. If Ralph hadn't p*ssed around with the defence against Bournemouth we'd have won and been forth. I feel like this is one of those midtable seasons where we should be able to give a cup a real go.

Our B team playing them in the League will lose 12-0 and that’s barely an exaggeration. They’ve just put 8 past Watford’s strongest 11 and will want to stretch their GD over the Scousers. Strongest team possible for both.

You’d have to hope we’re looking for options for January already. Perhaps look at loaning out Long to make some room on the wage bill, if needed.

Oh well, we’ve done what we needed to in this competition.

A perfect draw would be Liverpool vs. City, Arsenal vs Chelsea, Leicester vs. Man Utd and us with the worst team possible at home. However, we will probably just go and lose at Wolves or something sh*t like that.

Decent team. Might have gone for Armstrong over O'Bafemi but like the look of it otherwise.

That's flawed as it implies there is no competition on the internet. People will travel with whoever gives them the best deal for the best price. Internet or high street doesn't really come into it. I can sit in front of my computer for a couple of hours, looking at hundreds of trip advisor reviews and comparison wesbite until I find the best deal for me. The though of having to go into a high street store, which is only open during working hours, and sitting their twiddling my thumbs whilst Sonya puts exactly the same stuff into exactly the same website just seems like a waste of time. I like a bit of high street shopping but only for material goods like clothes and electronics, which I can't properly appreciate from online photos. Anyway, horrible stuff for the staff, who probably still have their own summer holidays to pay off and only a couple of months before Christmas shopping. No the government shouldn't have bailed them out. It would be like the FL bailing out Bury or Bolton. It sounds nice but really it's just encouraging reckless financial management and isn't fair on other, properly run companies.

I’m not sure you can really compare the two as there is no ‘black man voice’. Overall I would say they tend to have deeper voices and perhaps different inflections due to the shape of the nose and mouth but nothing you could really mock or imitate. The Bob Marley comparison doesn’t really make sense as you’re talking about a Jamaican accent, not a black one. FWIW I wouldn’t think that offensive as it’s a regional mannerism, rather than a racial stereotype. Same as doing a Scouse, Brummy or Oz accent.

I think the crux of the matter is; is the person’s skin colour the punchline. I don’t think someone dressing up as a specific black person is racist. Examples being a fancy dress Mr T, Dianne Abbott at the darts or whichever Barca player dressed as a Harlem globetrotter. If you’re just doing it for the sake of being black, then it becomes offensive.

Very unlucky not to get two at Bramall and whatever you think about him tonight, the only time we looked close to beating the ‘keeper was from a penalty he won. I have faith. J Rod’s first goal was a long time coming IIRC and he had a similar record and attributes at Championship level.

Tested? Their ‘keeper made three routine saves. The first was miss hit, the second straight down the middle from 25 yards and the third right at the ‘keeper’s feet. We’d have been fuming if Gunn had let one of those in.
