Oh, so it's fallen through then. Bugger.
-
I think the team in the OP would get relegated, lacks any sort of creativity in midfield.
-
Hope he pulls through. Diego's coke dealer is 8% of Argentina's GDP.
-
The same rag who said Maddison was a done deal.
-
We are guaranteed to see either Maradonna or Pogba crying, what's not to like.
-
This is just a cynical plan to... Les Reed, season tickets, something something...
-
Would be happy to see Clasie, Reed and Davis all move on.
-
It's official - 4 year deal.

I agree, although it would likely be 35 or 40 minute halves, which would equate to the actual in play time of an average game at the moment. Basically other sports have the answers to most of our problems, football is just a bit behind getting into the 21st century. Players appealing for VAR - Only the captain can ask (other players get booked), fix number of challenges per half - As per cricket and tennis. No clear and obvious error - Stick with 'umpires decision' - As per cricket. Time wasting - Stop the clock for stoppages, the game ends when the ball goes out for a throw in or GK after time is up - As per rugby
-
The best improvement to VAR I can think of is to have the officials in the video room make the actual decision IF they are certain a mistake has been made. We don't need the ref to run over and look himself if a qualified referee has already reviewed the video. Agree with whoever mentioned booking for delaying a free kick. Refs seem really slack on bookings for kicking the ball away after a foul. It should be an instant booking for anyone who picks up the ball, holds it behind their back for a few seconds, throws it in the other direction etc.

It wasn’t a release clause, something daft like he was allowed to talk to the other club but Liverpool didn’t have to accept the offer. Genuine release clauses are rare in Britain. I think Demba Ba had one at Newcastle, which backfired on them a bit.
-
I think we have decent enough options in Romeu, Lemina and Hojbjerg. If there was a clearly better player out there, sure but Morgan hasn't done it since he left Saints and wouldn't have any of the same players around him that he had before. I don't think he'd be an improvement.
-
I've heard he has an uncle in Melton Mowbray.

I don't share your contempt for women in general but I agree she was annoying. I assume she is in the England women's team and has played at what would be non-league level in the men's games and it showed in her analysis. She offered expert insights such as "part of a fullback's games is to put crosses in but they've also got to defend." Upson was just bland and forgettable.
-
You mean there are women out there prettier than this?
-
Especially as he only has a year left here and someone else might offer him 2.
-
Blocking his path would be not playing him when he is clearly good enough and I'm not sure he is. Saints aren't a charity, it's up to Sims to show he is good enough for a place, not vice versa. I'd like to see him in the squad but we need some decent creative players to replace Boufal and Tadic.
-
The very fact that players like Boufal are ahead of Sims suggests that he's not actually that good (yet). In a squad low on goals and creativity, the idea of selling an attacking player (albeit a crap one) and just not replacing him seems bonkers to me.
-
Can't say I'm excited but never having seen him play I'll stick with an open mind. I'm hoping this is a replacement for Davis and not Boufal or Tadic.
-
Never said I disagree. It's just incredibly patronising to think you're the only person who has noticed we have problems with recruitment/sales and concerns over Gao's investment in the club. Try posting your opinion without the need to point out how ignorant everyone else is.
-
Agree, so far it has been a resounding success IMO. How many of them have we seen given in the Premier League, especially at the big grounds.
-
You seem to like making things up to look smarter than everyone else. You aren't.
-
That's like saying Chelsea couldn't keep hold of Romeu when we came calling, so they may as well pack up and go home. Assuming wages will be similar (and we're hardly going to be breaking the bank to keep Targett) why wouldn't he leave to play first team football?
-
Really wouldn't have a problem with it. McQ is good enough as back up and if Bertrand leaves Targett is not good enough to be first choice for a top half team.
-
A bit harsh. Martina was a back-up right back and did fine, he was cheap and never a liability when called upon. Certainly wouldn't say he was any worse than Targett. Clasie wasn't really suited to the Premier League but was far from hopeless and worked hard in a squad competing in 4 competitions. Caulker was a loan brought in as back-up. With Gardos injured and the VVD transfer getting dragged out, he was a short term plug. Not a good one admittedly but a cheap one. Juanmi was relatively cheap and worth a punt, a bit like Mayuka. Could have been the next Michu but wasn't and we got a reasonable chunk of money back.
