  1. This fictitious pay gap and the constant media stories are really starting to get on my tits. The latest BBC report has McEnroe apparently being paid more than Navratilova, as if gender is anything to do with that. Has anyone got any experience of any job where men and women are paid differing amounts for exactly the same role?
  2. League. We're in for some pretty painful football if we go down next season IMO.
  3. I think 'Carroll is an injury doubt' comes pre-printed on their press releases.
  4. I'd go along with that, having watched today's game. Gabbi seemed to be playing well off the shoulder of the last man but there was a bit of space in between the 2 strikers and the 2 CM, which would have suited Sims IMO.
  5. Reminds me of the Scousers booing Patrice Evra. You know, for having the sheer audacity to be racially abused by a Liverpool player.
  6. I'd prefer: 1. Leicester - They really haven't been great under Puel. Since that 1-4 game, 3 months ago, they've only beaten Watford, West Brom and Udders in the League. It's not like we're any better but they are quite obviously the next weakest team in it. 2. Chelsea - Highly inconsistent this year. 3. Man Utd - I know they lost to Seville but they've been getting results apart from that. 4. Spurs. If Kane is fit. If not, Utd would be my last choice.
  7. You can hear the heartbreak in the ‘tators voices.
  8. Hojbjerg and Cédric? What is this madness?
  9. Sims for Carrillo please.
  10. FFS! Knew it
  11. Carrillo has attributes?
  12. Looks like some of the turnips they're growing are catching us out a bit.
  13. It's the weirdest feeling - I actually want to watch this game.
  14. In a season that's not particularly impressive, even for a club our size. We had 10 games where we scored 3 or more the season before but they were backed up by other impressive results like beating Spurs and Utd away. What I'm saying is 80% of our football under Puel was torturous crap. As in, a goal every other game crap.
  15. I was thinking that too.
  16. Dear God almighty, hallelujah!
  17. Which is made even worse by the fact that the goals were skewed by a handful of high scoring games against crap teams. 3 goals against Leicester, Palace, Burnley, Bournemouth, West Ham and 4 against Watford and Sunderland. That leaves 18 goals in the other 31 games.
  18. How far in advance did this use to be decided? Curious as, for example in 2003 we played at Villa Park and the Arsenal/Sheff Utd game was at Old Trafford. Supposing Villa had drawn Man Utd, would another ground have been chosen?
  19. I assume that's the game he is referring to, although how winning it would have given us another 11 points I'm not sure.
  20. Because we've put ourselves in a position whereby that one moment is life or death and it's completely our fault. It's like drink driving down a country road at 100mph in the dark, then having a massive fatal accident and saying, "oh if only that fox hadn't run out and distracted me on that bend." I can't be aggravated by it because it's one fleeting moment in a season of sh*te, it's almost irrelevant to the bigger picture. You could also say Zabaleta's push on Yoshida was pretty soft for a penalty and that's 2 points lost against West Ham.
  21. That's one of those one off freak events which happens. Annoying at the time but you can't really complain when talking about our position in the table.
  22. Great set of results IMO, that Palace result will be another big kick in the 'nads for Huddersfield. Huddersfield - 8th defeat in 11 league games. Stoke - 1 win in 3 months (against 'Udders) West Brom - Basically gone
  23. Every West Ham team is a weakened side.
  24. 6 points from Puel's last 8 games, also 6 blanks in front of goal. We really weren't doing any better than we are now at the end of his tenure.
  25. As far as I am aware, he has never done anything inhumane to small rodents.
