  1. You’ve got a bit of a chip on your shoulder over this one. In his opinion, Sims didn’t do anything of note on his debut, however he has looked better since. So yes he has changed his opinion based on Sims improved performances.
  2. Fox, Hooiveld, Kelvin, Sharp, Hammond, Guly, De Ridder, Richardson and Chaplow were all regulars in a top Championship team. None were Premier League standard. Just playing regularly doesn’t make them good enough on its own, more it gives them a chance to develop and gain experience. My mate with a Reading ST has been pretty impressed with Sims so far, so fingers crossed he can progress.
  3. He once scored 8 in about 6 months under Koeman. I think that’s probably as good as it gets.
  4. You can incredibly ordinary and still end up in the top half, as Leicester are right now. Wolves haven't been anything amazing, just better organised than we are. We've played well enough in patches against Brighton, Leicester, Palace and Burnley, we just can't do it for 90 minutes and usually bottle it in injury time.
  5. Never knew that mate but glad to hear you've finally got justice. Fair play for having the balls to admit it in front of the nutters who haunt this place.
  6. F**k sake, can't we just have an international break instead?
  7. Swansea also beat Liverpool in the reverse fixture, whereas we played for a nice safe 2-0 defeat at home. Without that win, they'd have been relegated when we played them at the Liberty. Even a point in one game and a minus infinity goal difference is better than a couple of 3-0 defeats. That's three games in a row now against them where we've not even tried to compete. Keeping the GD down seems to be seen as an achievement by some, it's pathetic.
  8. Going to be hilarious when Liverpool sign this shower of sh*te.
  9. Pretty much par for the course.
  10. The implication being that he has proven us all wrong by being selected for the second time in a year and is still third choice?
  11. Basically what I was implying. Never mind.
  12. He’s not about scoring goals, he’s about defending from the front. Without Long it would have been all over after 20 minutes.
  13. Liverpool’s U-15 women’s team could have won this and most of them are pregnant.
  14. He was the most sold player in the competition this week for some reason, it’s like nobody else has seen our defence. Everybody on the Hazard bandwagon.
  15. Yep. If Salah had scored both there would at least have been some silver lining for me.
  16. What has Hoedt got to do with that goal? We’re playing zonal and Matip was nowhere near his zone.
  17. You can’t put that all on Hoedt; He’s at fault but so are Cédric and McCarthy. He was wrong footed by the initial deflection and had little time to react.
  18. I hate cleaning the oven, doesn't mean it's a difficult job. He will not be causing Van Dijk and company many problems this afternoon. Yes, he will probably win a few throw ins chasing defenders around but actual goals? No. I'm not sure how 'current' his scoring record is either. He has never been anything other than a 5-6 goals a season player at this level. He had one decent season under Koeman when he got 10. It's not confidence, he's a poor Premier League footballer and always has been.
  19. Well... here goes nothing. Going to need slutty nuns aplenty to get through this one.
  20. It only makes sense because we’ve got literally nobody else to play. This will be one of the easiest games of the season for Liverpool’s defence.
  21. Wow, that’s a depressing team. 9 men in our own third and two just to run around after their defenders.
  22. Id sell JWP as I've no idea what he offers other than fairly good set piece delivery. Otherwise he is largely just a passenger who doesn't fit into any of the formations we've tried and I've no idea what his position is supposed to be. I'm not a fan of Redmond but he does at least offer an outlet and the odd goal. If our squad was half decent he wouldn't be starting.
  23. A game of football. Why are so many talking as if keeping the score down is some sort of achievement. We all but snatched a draw at the Etihad last season and somebody will stop Liverpool eventually. Imagine if Lyon went to Man City last night saying, 'lets try and keep it below 3-0'. Last season we just sat back and took a nice 'safe' 2-0/3-0 defeat in both games, it was pathetic. When we went 2-0 down at home, the players were playing as if this was an okay result for both sides and we'll all just see it out.
  24. For me - Inside the 6 yard box, GK. Outside the 6 yard box, defender. The header was a good yard outside the 6 yard box and was also an excellent delivery.
  25. I'd go with a 4-3-3/4-5-1: McC, Cedric, Vest, Yoshi, Bertrand, Lemina, Romeu, Hojbjerg, Armstrong, Redmond, Gabbi
