  1. It's not exactly a hard sell, when half of Asia is mad for one of the big six. Plus most of the money just ends up being chucked around agents, transfer fees and wages. For all the money we get paid, we still apparently need to sell to buy players.
  2. So he can not get into our squad either?
  3. *Michael’s views are his own and not necessarily those of the SaintsWeb Ltd empire.
  4. If he's been even half sensible with his money, he'll have enough to buy a 12 acre estate in Surrey, a chalet in Verbier and a Villa in the Maldives, with enough change left over to fly his family between them (first class) for the next 50 years. Why a man who has been CEO of the Premier League for 20 years needs a 'retirement gift' I have no idea. All that being said, I'm not in the slightest bit surprised.

  6. I'd stick Moi in for Ings and push Gabbi up front. Other than that, just Targett to come in at LB.
  7. I'm not sure what he's supposed to have gotten away with TBH. I didn't see him say anything offensive about the actual officials, just that it was a joke that we don't have VAR and they clearly need help. This is different to Mourinho coming out after every defeat saying, "the referee wanted me to lose because it makes good television," or some other b****cks.
  8. You'd prefer he hadn't tried his hardest to keep them? If they were all falling out with Les, then leaving because of that, I'd get your point. In reality most of the dirty laundry came from players and their agents trying to force through moves to bigger clubs and Les upset many of them by fighting Saints corner.
  9. Just noticed Sims didn't make Reading's matchday squad for the second game in a row. So much for getting him some decent game time.
  10. Which took a massive slice of luck in the deflection, to wrong foot Foster.
  11. Says the man who posted 58 times on a Saturday.
  12. That's not the rule, it has to be a deliberate attempt to play the ball by the defender.
  13. Why the frig are we after a 0-0 at Leicester on MOTD?
  14. Our saving grace may well be that there are 7 absolutely garbage teams in it this season, instead of just 4. There's one heck of a slag at the bottom of the Premier League at the moment. The current point scoring rate will have someone finishing 14th on about 28 points.
  15. Chatting to a Watford fan on the way back into town, he seemed to think Lemina ran the show for us. I'd have to agree. I also thought Hoj had a better game than some on here are giving him credit for. Gave the ball away a bit but got stuck in and covered a lot of ground. I think the team that started has potential, it's the subs that did it for us. Should have been O'Bafemi for Ings and Romeu for Armstrong. Rom should have been on the bench instead of JWP, who seems to just come on and lose games for us.
  16. Agreed, it's like playing with 10 men most of the time. Hughes should have had the balls to put O'Bafemi on, or failing that Elmo and push Gabbi up front. Austin just took all pressure off them second half and it happens every time he's on the pitch.
  17. If we what a what today?
  18. Yeah, looks like it's eased off a bit. (We'll still get battered)
  19. I've seen plenty from the rest of them to suggest he should be.
  20. This weather will suit them, dirty Northerners.
  21. Liverpool asking for £20m for a player who has barely played for 3 years due fitness problems. Nobody bites and on the last day of the transfer window we come in and pay the full asking price, with no option on the loan if he gets injured again.
  22. I don't believe that personally, I think we were just rotating players and Fonte was too old to play in everything. If it is true, it's right up there with the "WTF were you thinking Les!?" moments, like the Ings and Carrillo transfers.
  23. The first point at which I began to have doubts was when we sold Fonte in January last year and failed to bring in a replacement. I was all for selling him, at the right price, if we had someone decent signed up already. We didn’t and suddenly we were left plugging gaps with emergency solutions for half a season. From then on, things just kept getting sillier until the whole Forster/MoPe/Carrillo farce.
  24. I didn't realise being a thick idiot was a crime now, it'll take the Police a month just to get through this forum.
