  1. He’s a 22 year old, nearly 23, who hasn’t actually achieved anything at any level. Not made an impact at Saints, failed to score at the Dons, alright at Blackburn and most recently 6 goals at Brum. He’s had chances, maybe not here but he has had them. If he was ripping the Championship to pieces then great but the fact is he has been mediocre with a handful of excuses.
  2. There’s a difference between ‘good’ and ‘a massive upgrade on Long’. For example a hump-back whale carcass decomposing in the 6 yard box would probably deflect in 6 or 7 crosses or corners per season. That would qualify as the latter but not the former.
  3. I think Yoshi, Vest and Hoot are our best 3 CB personally.
  4. I think Roath Ravers are more his level, just so long as he leaves I’d be happy with anywhere.
  5. What have random players from the 90s got to do with anything? Aside from the fact that Beattie scored 5 goals in his first 2 years at Saints, a performance we can ill-afford given our current scoring form, his eventual good form is irrelevant to Gallagher. What about when we got rid of Rasiak and Stern John and gave a chance to Matt Patterson and Jamie White?
  6. Baj offered me a deal. 6 bannings and I get a Jalfrezi.
  7. Schurrle you can't be serious?
  8. Please no on the first two, Giroud will never happen.
  9. Never, so long as I still draw breath (and they have Andy Carroll). Forster, Clasie and Gaston are hardly embarrassments. FF was in the England squad a was decent under Koeman. Clasie wasn't particularly expensive and was worth a try. Gaston may have been a flop overall but his goals in his first season would probably earn him Saints golden boot these days. Those goals and performances were instrumental in keeping us up IMO, gave us a boost when we were bottom of the table at the start of the season.
  10. Another problem with the obscene amount of money in the PL I guess, it's very difficult to offload players you don't want to foreign clubs. Osvaldo, Clasie, Carrillo and now Boufal. This must surely mean there's another attacking player incoming.
  11. You could say that about any player. Didn't FF make a really good save in the win over West Ham at 2-2?
  12. He basically had a purple patch of 5 in 7. Before that he scored once in 4 months, after it he failed to score in his last 11 games of the season.
  13. They reached the final, beat us and spanked Argentina. They have also won 2 penalty shoot outs and only lost 1 game (the final) against our 3. England were okay. We just look good in comparison to the abject failures of many previous campaigns.
  14. No, we got a very large fee for a player with 2 years left on his contract but I agree on Salah. Roma have nobody to blame other than themselves.
  15. Surely if it's on the day he was unveiled, they are beyond the point of hitting a transfer glitch. Anyway, half a million shirts really isn't much of a stretch. That's like 1 in 1000 men, in China alone, buying one.
  16. We struggled to score goals last season and we've already sold our most creative player. Please don't sell our best striker too.
  17. Probably more to do with the billion or so fans in China, India, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, The Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
  18. Seems to have made a career out of half a dosen decent games a season. If he struggles to get past 5 goals for Utd and Arsenal, I doubt he’d start banging them in for us.
  19. Feel for him? He’s a tit with a greedy agent who never thought to mention that he wasn’t going to be playing regular football ahead of Yaya, Nasri, Milner, Barry and David Silva.
  20. Entirely? No but a striker who scores one goal from mid October onward, manages 5 in total and they're all against Palace, Hudders, Watford and West Brom, isn't doing that well.
  21. He was dropped from a team struggling to score. No thanks.
  22. Agree. He looks so good on the ball, just needs confidence and some decent coaching.
  23. Just goes to show how badly wrong it can go, choosing the bench of a big club over first team football. His career basically peaked when he left Everton, aged 21.
  24. Too long ago to say, too many variables. Certainly wouldn't have been starting for them.
  25. 6 and 7 goals. All that proves is how hopeless the rest of our attack has been.
