He has improved massively since he first signed, especially over the course of this season. He was better towards the end of last season but I don’t think he had done enough to earn an automatic spot in our team.

We're talking about Les here; a man who once hired the wrong manager but rather than sack him tried to cover it up by paying £19m for a Sunday League striker, then sacked him anyway. Little of the Ings deal made any sense to me and I'm still none the wiser. Stinks of deadline day desperation to me.

I said he was very good (although I think exceptional is going a bit OTT) what I said is he will have to do it consistently. A couple of assists 2 years ago are about all he’s really got to go on before that.

Remember last summer when they won the transfer window and were leaving us behind already. Their stats in 2019 are hilarious (although I do feel a bit sorry for them) - 14 games, 13 defeats, 35 goals conceded. Conceded 2 or more in EVERY game (that includes a home cup game against Oldham)

Ramsay scores, there'll be a few celebrities losing sleep this week.

You have a point but JWP and Valery are the only two I actually take pride in seeing play. Gallagher really isn't a Premier League player and will probably end up in League 1. Targett is alright as back-up but that really is a kind way of saying he's a Championship player. May well end up at Fulham afterall. Sims looked good against Spurs but has been very much hit and miss and needs to do something consistently. They're the only academy players I can think of in the squad. You can't count Stephens, he was 17/18 when he joined us and had already made first team appearances for Plymouth. That's 5 academy players, 3 of which would be nowhere near our squad if the other options we have weren't so poor.

Looked just on to me, no idea what you're all on about.

Ah well, we can only do our bit, after all we got a bit of luck with Spurs wasting their chances. Whatever happens we've dragged Bournemouth and Brighton right back down towards us this weekend.
-
I mainly remember him from a midweek trip to Rochdale, where he was completely outclassed in the middle and we lost. That was a crap away day, didn't even make it to a pub.
-
One would almost think his heart was never in it at Pompey and he literally only went there because his mate 'Arry sorted him out for a few quid. Then again, we all know that can't be true.

Sam Gallagher - Joins Blackburn: Official

Are they that high? I wouldn't have put it past Les but it would have been ludicrous to offer him a contract that would price him out of most Championship clubs. I can't see him being here next season, he'll be 24 and has never at any point looked close to being a Premier League player. -
A shock would be beating Chelsea or Liverpool. That on its own won’t keep them up, they need consistent results, which they haven’t managed all season.
-
Free swing after the Brighton win, would take a point on Friday.
-
Odd, having not turned up against Cardiff last time, West Ham should be world class this week. Just looking at the table, 11 points separate 7th from 17th but it’s the same gap between 18th and 19th.
-
That’s not luck, it’s poor finishing from them, same as it is when we’re on the receiving end of these results. I think one more win, or 3 draws would see us safe. Any more than about 8 points for Cardiff is a big ask.
-
Brilliant win, gives us a free swing on Friday night. A point and a dent in Liverpools title challenge would be pretty awesome.

He's got history...

Ings you can rule out as that is nothing to do with luck, more us being foolhardy signing a frequently injured player. I take your point but still feel Sala, Bamba and Patterson would have made more impact on their team than Lemina and Bertrand on ours. The former we can pretty much live without at the moment, with 4 decent CM options still to chose from. Plus the timing is worse IMO. You wouldn’t want to be relying on those players and then losing them at crunch time in the run in.
-
Between this, Bamba and Sala, you can't say we haven't had luck on our side with the run in this season. I know we've had our own issues with RB, Lemina and Ings but I think Cardiff have been hit a bit harder by the players and the timing.
-
Without checking, I’d say Sims has played more minutes for us than Moi.
-
TBF Ings can't play for 2 weeks after most games.
-
Mainly because that's what it takes to get into the England team.

As much as we all love Le Tiss, he doesn't half get involved in some tripe on twitter. The amount of crap from trolls he responds to, I'm tempted to unfollow him. P.S. For the purposes of this thread, I'm including Eastleigh as defecting.
