The Swiss got knocked out of the World Cup without conceding a goal 10 years ago. They also became the first team in a WC penalty shoot out not to score a goal. Stick that in your pub trivia pipe.

Nathan Redmond Joins on 5 Year Deal - Official
Lighthouse replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
I didn't really rate him that highly at Norwich bit then Bertrand was pretty average at Villa. A good option to have in the squad, if he's replacing Gaston/Juanmi as an attacking option I'm happy. If he is intended to replace Mané, not so much. -
There is a certain element of angry ex-girlfriend shouting, "Fine, leave!" And chucking all your stuff out of her bedroom window, about this.

I didn't vote in this referendum. Not because I couldn't be bothered I just didn't feel strongly enough to vote either way. I'll tell you what though; since the result became clear the remain campaign haven't half managed to put me off with their childish butt-hurt reactions. Describing more than half the population as xenophobes, racists and lacking intelligence and writing off the leave campaign as nothing more than, "a fear of brown people walking down the street," is how we ended up like this. Sucessive governments wrote off UKIP support at general elections as closet racists making a 'protest vote'. Then Dave went and bet his career on a remain vote at a referendum and suddenly here we are. More people siding with UKIP than the three main parties put together. I'll stick with being unprogressive and intolerant (apparently), the irony being I'm not the one dismissing either side as being immoral or lacking intelligence.
-
So when you said your future had been decided by a nation of xenophobes and racists, what you actually meant is that YOU have decided that SOME aspects of your future MIGHT be best served working in another part of Europe.... In the short term, maybe. Welcome to the 21st Century, I've had to live in 5 foreign countries to get to my current job.
-
Jobs which you have now been banned for life from ever having because they are linked to Europe, I presume. I'm intrigued actually, what is it specifically you have been banned from doing now that we are living the EU?
-
I didn't know this referendum was deciding people's futures, must be terrible. I had no idea Farage had told you which career you have to choose, where you have to live, who you have to marry, how many kids you're allowed, what to call your dog and where you're allowed to go on your stag do.
-
How is that any different to the remainers claiming financial meltdown barely minutes after the markets opened this morning? Nothing has been proven yet, although both sides have tried to claim otherwise.
-
You're assuming all EU member states will indefinitely be run by a pro-EU leader. Dave gambled and lost. (God forbid) Farage was our PM he'd still have called it and won.
-
I work for a Scandinavian company and I know some seriously cheesed off Danes and Swedes. Wouldn't bet against either of them being next. I saw the interview with La Pen today, if she gets in power she will almost certainly call a referendum.
-
I'll stick my neck out no say that nobody currently living and working here from the EU will be kicked out.
-
I don't think anyone is under the illusion that we can demand whatever we want but that there is no sensible reason we can't reach similar trade agreements with EU member states to those already in place. Same with immigration.
-
The big question is to what extent other countries are willing to cut off their nose to spite their face. The most sensible thing to do would be to continue with the status quo, at least to begin with, in terms of trade agreements. Of course the rest of Europe could play hard ball just to spite us and set an example to others who are considering a referendum but that could then of course backfire. If EU countries start offering unnecessarily poor trade agreements and both our economies suffer from it, they will just look like bullies in the eyes of the rest of Europe and it will further fuel the flames of other anti-EU rebellions.

It was a friend on Facebook. I wish I was that quick witted.

The residents of Sunderland probably thought they were voting to leave Sunderland.

Haven't seen Sterling's value drop this sharply since the Russia game.

I'm just going to quote this before the original mysteriously disappears.

Meh. For me, similar feelings of indifference to what I felt when Morgan and Shaw Left. Many people last year thought Morgan was irreplaceable. I saw one person refer to him as the 'be all and end all' of our team. No one person is irreplaceable, I'm confident we will find someone decent enough to fill his shoes. Who'd heard of Kante this time last year?
-
No they haven't. It's been fairly mild in the Med recently and it's only 24 degrees in Nice right now, at the hottest time of day.

I won't believe this until it is confirmed by an estate agent in Chandler's Ford.

Are there any players out there called 'Greenie'? Wouldn't mind having Pelle, Greenie and Pellegrini.
-
Couldn't we do something original for once? Surely there's another 90s dance track we can rip off. Let all sing 'Ooohhhhhhhh Cuco Martina' to the tune of Mysterious Girl by Peter Andre

alpine doesn't care whether or not he is right, he just needs the attention. MLG doesn't care whether or not he is being trolled, he just needs to show everyone else he is correct. Together they make one heck of a tedious team.

I don't think he will regret that, he would never have turned down the chance to play for Liverpool and he was pretty much finished as a Premier Legue player anyway, be it here or at Anfield. If he hadn't left he'd probably have spent the next couple of years sat on our bench watching Pelle.
