Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

For about the 50th time; what is it that Isis want which you think we should offer them, in return for peace? -

There can be no negotiation with these people. It's that simple. They are not the IRA, they don't have a sane political agenda. You can't negotiate with people who want world wide mutual annihilation, a judgement day where every man on Earth is brought before Allah, Jihadist are glorified in paradise and receive 72 virgins, whilst all no-believers are cast into the fires of hell for eternity. -

That's like going to a Hollywood film producer and saying, "I've got this great title for a movie, all I need is a story line and a script to go with it." What is your peace process? That's just a phrase, a political buzzword to reassure the masses. What specific actions would you take to bring about peace in the middle East? What would you offer ISIS in exchange for a ceasefire on their behalf? What is it that they want, which you are prepared to give them? -

How is this conversation going to go exactly. If you were the negotiator, what do you offer them? -

The big question IMO - Is it now time for ground forces to go into Syria and Iraq? -
Just like everyone knew the Oklahoma City bombing was Muslims and so was the Oslo bombing. Don't give a sh*t if I'm the 'good guy'. The people who did this are utter scum and I wish we lived in a world where Islam didn't exist. Sadly we don't but I prefer to wait until I actually know something before deciding who to blame.

None of you knew anything other than a mass shooting had taken place. Could quite easily have been a bunch of white supremacists unhappy about the number of foreigners in Paris. It wasn't but leaping to conclusions like that doesn't help matters.

Madness. Utter, utter, madness. Some people are just beyond sick; a bunch on complete animals. RIP to all those involved. Such a ridiculous, pointless waste of life. -
People said that about the Breivik massacre. How about waiting for some details before blaming the Muslims?

Hardly anyone is 'for sale' but everyone has their price. I think £30m is a reasonable enough price for Mané, who will by then have 2 years left on his contract. The club wont want to let him get to the final year of his deal and end up like Clyne.
-
Swansea haven't historically been a big club though. It's not like when we came back up to the Prem and all the fair weather fans came flooding back. Also it is fairly isolated. The Swansea metropolitan area is reasonable enough but there really is bugger all outside it. Just water and mountains, you'd have to go to Cardiff to find the next decent sized town and they've got their own club. They can't pull in fans from Basingstoke, Winchester, Bournemouth, Salisbury etc. like we can. Plus rugby is pretty big over there and I'd imagine the Osprey's take up a fair bit of local interest.
-
They lack the resources really to compete long term. A club that size can have a couple of decent seasons if they're well managed, have a good team spirit and a couple of players like Bony and Michu. Beyond that though, I don't think they have the financial clout to bring in a team of VvD, Wanyama, Mané etc. Their third most expensive signing is Hernandez for £5.5m, which kind of illustrates their limitations. Plus Swansea is miles away from pretty much everywhere.
-
Somewhat contradictory. First you're saying he is the definition of an 'impact sub' then you say he's not been given a chance; despite making 53 appearances, mainly as a sub. I don't wish he'd seen out his career here as we'd have been paying a big chunk of wages to someone who is no longer good enough. We'd have ended up in a similar boat to the one we're in with Kelvin, clinging on to a player who is well past it largely for nostalgic reasons.
-
Actually I came to that opinion by having a season ticket and watching Lambert look increasingly off the pace as the season went on. The stand by strikers for that WC squad were Carroll, who'd spent half the year injured and scored 2 goals, and Defoe, who wasn't wanted by Spurs and buggered off to play in the Canadian League. He was hardly keeping Shearer out of the squad.

I'm fairly sure Utd wont be giving us Vardy in part ex.
-
You mean that one header, from a corner, against a team ranked just below Iran in World football? I was delighted for Rickie, that was probably my favourite ever moment watching England but 4 goals (1 was a pen) in 51 appearances since he left would suggest he has made little impact. Infact we've had a similar return from Yoshida in the same time span.
-
Apart from pretty much every player in our team you mean? Pelle, Fonte, K Davis and S Davis will all need replacing in the next couple of years, as well as Mané. TV money will provide some of that but a large amount of what we've sold in the past has been reinvested. The money from Morgan and Clyne went on Romeu, Virgil, Clasie, Cedric, Martina, Caulker, Stek and Juanmi.
-
Yes, I see no reason why we should sell in January either but when he does go it wont be for £50m.
-
Alright, calm down. Guys, I think we've got a badass here.
-
The England debut was completely down to his form in our first Prem season, that Scotland game came before the Prem even kicked off. Let's be honest, he only went to the World Cup because there was pretty much nobody else. He was James Beattie if there was no Emile Heskey.

The people who think Yoshi is a bad player obviously never watched Fox, Bernard, Jakobsson, Davenport, Lancashire, Powell or Kenton. Christ we've had some sh*te defenders in the last 10 years. -
Absolutely this. Couldn't believe they were playing that, the campest, cheesiest nonsense ever recorded. The best pre-match music we had was Sandstorm, they should go back to that.
-
Lambert's game involved him being the focal point and the play being built around him. He is the complete opposite of an impact sub as his performances for Liverpool and West Brom have shown.
-
They had a hovercraft race at half time during our last trip to Coventry, shame there wasn't anyone there to see it. I think our lowest point was probably the ABBA tribute band before we lost to Villa in 2005.
