SWEEPSTAKE ALERT - Puel departure announcement timing - all welcome
Lighthouse replied to CB Fry's topic in The Saints
No worse than 90% of the sh*te posted on here TBF. -
You're obviously not familiar with 9-3 and his surrealist brand of trolling.
-
Yeah, if you want the club to just state the bleedin' obvious, not add any information and fuel further speculation with a completely non-commital statement on Puel's position.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

Apart from evacuating our army from Dunkirk, then evacuating children to Scotland from the major cities. Still, if ISIS ever get their hands on a Junkers 88, I will happily sign up to man a flak cannon. If you think Corbyn could do no worse than this, you are deluded. I'd bet 90% of the world would give anything to live in a country as peaceful as Britain. -
Sounds like some weird hybrid of Poch, Pelle and General Belgrano.

Usually suit fittings and repair.

I guess it's all about opinions. If they did that with the away shirt, I can guarantee some people would be complaining that it was the same design for both kits and calling it lazy and lacking creativity.
-
I wonder when they will become official. Historically they tend to go on sale around the first weekend of July. I only remember that because it usually coincides with the British Grand Prix and you do see the occasional F1 fan sporting our new shirt.
-
Nothing is ever to everyone's taste but I can't see why anyone would think the away is particularly bad. Nothing outrageous about the colours or the design.
-
Love them if they are indeed accurate, especially the away kit.
-
Can't be true, all other clubs our size hang on to their best players.
-
Just more made up Glaswegian numbers. Seem to remember Moyes was paid about £5m for severance from Utd and he had a much longer and higher paid contract.
-
Exactly. They were also 4 places ahead of Stoke but only 3 behind Man Utd, thus proving how massive they now are as a club.
-
That could be a fine appointment but I've heard he can be a bit rough on the players.
-
I don't think we'd have put out a press release saying he was being released if we were negotiating any sort of deal behind the scenes. I think we'd have just said nothing until we'd come to a more definitive conclusion. On that subject, Stuart Taylor hasn't been released despite being out of contract. Perhaps he is getting another deal.
-
Call me cynical but that's an incredibly easy rumour for someone to make up when he's just resigned.
-
If that's the case he has probably accepted an offer from a genuinely world class club. If Barca, Bayern or Man Utd have come in with a large contract, he's obviously going to go there instead.
-
Glasgow sticking with the 'we paid £100k a week for an injured player who hasn't played for over a year and hasn't had a contract for 6 months' routine, I see. He did his job, he was there if needed. You don't sell a car and moan that you wasted all that money on seatbelts and airbags.

Saints just tweeted Martina Isgrove (finally) Willard Caceres All released

Choice: Saints finish 2017 season 8th but Boring, or 13th and Exciting
Lighthouse replied to eddie's topic in The Saints
I think a better question could be: Would you rather finish 8th with 46 points or 13th with 56? Granted that is unusually high for 13th but then 46 is unusually low for 8th. I'd take 13th with more points as I really don't care what number we are in the table. More points means we've seen more wins, more goals, fewer conceded etc. -
As poor as we've been this season, hilariously more than half the League was worse than us. Even if we do keep Puel and sell Virgil, I doubt we'll go down.

All I want is for us not to look like we're playing for a 0-0 draw every game. Especially at home to Be'er f**king Sheva. If we'd attacked teams like HBS, Bompey and Hull at St Mary's we'd have absolutely d*cked them, not lost 4-3.
