Some bloke in the crowd telling the ref what to do now.
-
F**king stonewall!
-
With a video ref we'd have had a penalty. Davis FFS!
-
World class goal from a silly free kick.
-
Could see that coming a mile off from Romeu. Silly cheap booking.

Oh Newcastle...
-
Boruc with an absolute howler apparently.
-
Palace beat West Brom in the early kick off. Merseyside derby and Arsenal vs Man U on Sky on Sunday.

I was born to be a billionaire, property-magnate, football chairman, town planner. Unfortunately the good Lord had other ideas
-
Special Brew. I'm not going to waste money.

I thought this was an 'if you were a billionaire mega-tycoon' thread and here I am getting told off for train scheduling and property development strategies. If I was a billionaire I'd pretty much demolish the whole Northam estate to the East of the main road from SMS up to the Northam Bridge and build a new Marina, complete with apartments, bars and restaurants. I'd build a 20 storey apartment block in the middle and have an indoor ski centre starting from the top floor, ending at a massive 'Oasis' style indoor swimming centre with a wave pool and water slides. I'd put a large multistorey where the gas works are and a train station next to it where the sh*t green bridge is now. I'd put a wide road and pathway from the Northam multistorey, North up to the main road. Where it joins the A3024 I'd make a crossroads onto a new dual carriage way, running parallel to the train tracks out of the city. Basically where Hartington road is now, joining Thomas Lewis Way, just South of St Denys Station and dual all the way to the M27. No f**king around, one major artery running from the motorway right to the city centre, by the stadium. Yes, I'm bored at work today.

I think Rooney would be more interested in Vorderman TBH.
-
Man Utd fan who rates Rooney above Cantona. Therefore would not bang.

I can't say I'm too bothered about our largely foreign team because we've done our bit for English youth. We've got Chambers, Shaw, Lallana, Surman, Walcott, Chamberlain and Bale all out there who came from our youth team. The fact that they aren't here now is beyond our control. If every club put the effort in to youth we did, the Premier League would be flooded with talented English players.

Always want Burnley to do well as half my family is from there but I wouldn't really say I was a fan. Follow Dynamo Kiev in Europe as I wanted to have someone to support in the Champions League and they had a heck of a team when Rebrov and Shevchenko were there. No idea why anyone would have a problem with a 'second team'. If someone like Eastleigh, Totton or Salisbury are local to you, it's not as if they're competing with Saints.
-
Begovic keeping Chelsea in this game, all Porto according to Phil Thompson on GSS. Third in their group as it stands with a trip to Kiev up next. Arsenal equalise, then go behind 50 seconds later. Barca losing at home to Leverkusen and Roma losing at BATE.

If you ever sang a Rude Song about Rudi Skacel this could happen
Lighthouse replied to John B's topic in The Saints
I think it's the 'Rudi Skacel is a f**king refugee' song Hibs used to sing to the tune of yellow submarine. -
Losing in Porto at the moment. Chelsea are obviously odds on favourites but there can't be a better time to play them.
-
They could but being elderly the tended to be resistant to change and looked for problems rather than solutions. We don't NEED a station and I'm sure it's not financially viable, however IF I was a billionaire with cash to p*ss up the wall I'd do it. Heck, I'd demolish half of Southampton starting with that f**k ugly Itchen Bridge. I'd replace it with something cool and distinctive looking, nowhere near as high and lit up with red and white LEDs at night.

Jan Transfer Window One Realistic Signing Who Would You Buy
Lighthouse replied to ally_uk's topic in The Saints
We have enough strikers. Pelle, J Rod and even Long can all play up top and 2 of them are on the bench already. RB seems to be our weakest position at the moment, although I don't know who I'd go for specifically. -
One thing we can surely all agree on, sort that feckin' bridge out over the railway.

Bravo for them, they are clearly more mobile than my Grandparents are/were. All I know is, the walk (especially in winter) eventually put them off going. I can't imagine this is an isolated case. I know there are plenty of bars and pubs, the question was what would you do if you were the billionaire owner of St Mary's. I'm just saying what I would do personally, not suggesting I will tear up my ST if the club doesn't do it. If I was a billionaire I'd do much crazier stuff than that. I'd buy Fratton for a start, remove the roofs from all the stands, replace the seats with red and white striped ones and put giant posters of those goals by Moran, Pahars, Beattie, Lambert and Oakley all around the outside.

Don't see why any of us would be abusing him but I don't think this is the the first Hibs player to get done for singing that song. -
The train, as I explained to Kraken. Just to add, more people would use trains if there was a direct link to/from SMS. It would save a lot of traffic congestion. The bar and restaurants was more of a commercial idea to boost income for the club and make the area a bit more attractive. Also, if we did have more people getting the train in to SMS, they would have more time to drink before and after the game because they didn't have to worry about traffic, parking, drink driving etc. etc.
