J Rod hat trick would do him the world of good, even against substandard opposition. I'd leave him on and take Mané off.
-
Agree. I can't remember a enjoying a Liverpool manager's tenure as much as Rodgers'. Should be knighted for services to football.
-
I'd agree with this. More because I want to rest Mané for the weekend and don't particularly want to risk Tadic for no particular reason.

Carlisle equalise

Poch losing.

Excellent team for this match IMO. Maybe half each for Mané and Tadic or even a rare glimpse of the lesser spotted Ramirez. Would be good to see half an hour for Bert as well.

This isn't the 'Celebrities who've had the least success thread.' James Corden is highly successful, no doubting that. So are Trump, Justin Beiber, 1 Direction, Bin Laden, Katie Price and Dani Osvaldo. Doesn't mean they are complete tosspots.

Only if they start looking like Champions League players, which so far this season they don't. I don't think we're really that far off those two clubs either TBH. If one of them does go on to have a great season, they will pretty much follow our path anyway. Their best players will leave, Bilic will end up replacing Rodgers etc. etc.

So Koeman knew several hours before the game when he picked his team that Fellaini would play no part in the game? You would also rather have a player who is weak defensively against Memphis Depay? Actually, aside from Yoshi's error for the second goal it worked out reasonably well. If the lino had gone to specsavers or some bloke in Madrid knew how to send a fax, we'd have won yesterday, even in spit of our lackluster performance second half.
-
Silence! Cedric is useless and will never ever ever be good enough for us. Furthermore Les is obviously an idiot for signing a player who isn't immediately our first choice. Also, Koeman is a fool for choosing a taller, more defensive, experienced player to combat Depay and Fellaini.

Talk about rose tinted specs. There is no beauty to a relegation fight, it means you just end up watching the sh*t we put out in 04/05 every week. Sure you get the occasional Norwich 4-3 but there're a lot more 2-2 Evertons and 3-0 at Blackburns without ever getting into their penalty area. Some people talk about 7th and 17th like they are just numbers but the difference is a heck of a lot of sh*t football.

This team, when we start playing properly, will be far better than anything Sunderland, Newcastle, Villa, Norwich, Bompey or Watford are capable of. We're unbeaten away from home and lost narrowly at home to Utd. We may have gifted Utd the win but we gave them a better game than Liverpool did. The only properly poor result was Everton. The time to be concerned is when we look 100 miles away from even competing in games. If we'd lost 3-0 again yesterday and not had a shot on target, then I'd be a bit worried. Edit: You can add West Brom to that list, they played like the away team hoping for a 0-0 last week. Leicester and West Ham may be flavour of the month but they really aren't anything special. No different to Hull and Wigan being in the top 4 a few years ago, they both ended up fighting the drop.

I would go with: Stek Cedric - VVD - Caulker - Targett Wanyama - Romeu JWP - Juanmi - Tadic J Rod If Juanmi doesn't play a large portion of this game, I'll be a bit miffed as to his signing.

Yoshida was picked today because he is about a foot taller than Soares, I thought that much was obvious. All these, "what's the point in signing him if he can't get in the team ahead of Yoshi," comments are just daft. Soares is still raw. He has the tallent and can deliver a decent ball but he isn't there yet. Koeman clearly thought that for today's game, the defensive presence of Yoshi would be needed. He was probably gambling on Felaini playing some part and needing a decent head at set pieces. It wasn't an unreasonable choice to make. Aside from one terrible mistake (as per Fonte last year so... drop Fonte too?) I actually thought he did alright today. Stek - Can't see what he has done wrong. Clasie - Can't make any judgement yet Romeu - By and large has been one of our better players Juanmi - Still young. Will probably feature more in cup games. Martina - Obviously another body for the Europa League. I don't think our signings have been that bad. Nothing spectacular but then Osvaldo and Ramirez were spectacular so...

Brighton Forest and Derby replacing Sunderland, Newcastle and Villa would be pretty decent. With Bompey staying up too it would certainly annoy the Skates.
-
Tyne and Wear derby in the Championship next year I wonder.
-
14:1 on a Leicester win at the moment, if anyone fancies a flutter.
-
Surely Sunderland will go down sooner or later. They look hopeless and against some pretty forgettable opponents too.

I had no idea referring to the 6th day of matches as 'Matchday 6' would upset so many people. There was me thinking £50 for tickets and £90k a week for incredibly average players were what's wrong with football.

Are you suggesting that a footballer may be lacking in intelligence?

Chelsea against Arsenal in the early KO. In other news, Jordan Henderson ruled out for 8 weeks with a broken foot.

It's Bible belt American isn't it. Get the most inbred, redneck, God fearing, Arkansas trailer trash you can find and the Republicans will vote for him.

Donald Trump is a multi billionaire and standing for President of the most powerful nation on Earth. Doesn't mean much, he's still a complete f**ktard.

Awards or not, he still comes across as a bit of a tool in most of the stuff I've seen him in. Painfully unfunny IMO. Miranda has won awards, so have Big Brother and X-Factor. Doesn't mean they aren't all dreadful, just means they're popular with idiots.
